Always a good place for a quick bite for lunch or casual meal with friends. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff are very nice and accommodating. The food is delicious, especially the fries with the season salt! The menu hasn't changed much in over 20 years, but why try to fix something that isn't broke? This is a pretty cool place. My girlfriend and I have been here once before. My last visit was on 01/18/25, and I brought my girlfriend and my kids with me. We all really like the food. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs. Barnaby's has multiple locations around town and a variety of food options. I highly recommend stopping in and giving them a try.Joel Eronko

First time in Houston and we were recommended this spot by our host. So glad we took them up on it and went. Absolutely fantastic place. The service was warm and welcoming making me feel right at home even though that is 5000 miles away. The menu has lots of interesting choices. The food was brilliant. I had the meatloaf which was melt in your mouth tender. My wife had the chicken parm which she said was excellent. The portions were gigantic as well. The beer was great and reasonably priced. The original location is one of my favorite places for a burger. The hickory burger is my regular with an occasional change up to the guacamole burger or a salad. The burgers come with seasoned fries. In all honesty you can’t go wrong with any item on the menu. I highly recommend this place. It’s always fresh and delivered to the table hot.John G.

We came here on a Thursday evening and were greeted in a friendly manner by the staff. We are both vegetarians and saw there were some good options on the menu; we set about ordering some garlic hummus with pita chips to start followed by the falafel burger with fries and the impossible burger with fries (our favourite!). Lastly, we shared the apple pie with ice cream. All the food was really tasty and made promptly. The server was was very friendly and we could hear he was making all the customers feel right at home. I came to pick up the food, however they treated me like I wanted to steal their food. I wanted to let you know that NOT all delivery drivers wanted to steal your food. I’m going to share my honest review of this place. The food is delicious, always fresh and price is reasonable. I always tend to order takeout because I’m always busy. Never have a problem. So I decided to eat there and the ONLY two times that I decide to go there, I get bad experience TWICE with A PARTICULAR WAITER. I understand that they’re probably busy but there are ways to talk to a customer. Proper ways to communicate without sounding mean and almost sound like you don’t want to wait on us. This waiter who I later found out that his name is Matthew told us this and I quote “ You can sit outside, but I can’t promise that I’ll be back.” Judge for yourself, doesn’t that sound unprofessional? The sad part is that the only two times that I’ve gone and want to sit outside, the same waiter “greets” us in that way. I’m giving this restaurant 4 stars only because it isn’t fair that someone who doesn’t know about customer service, makes the restaurant pay for his consequences. Food is great and host is always nice. I hope the next time I go I get a better experience, and I pray I don’t get that same waiter again or for him to get proper training . It’ll break my heart to stop going to this restaurant just because of him.Robert R.

Baby Barnaby's is always a favorite. The staff are excellent. The orange juice is so fresh and delicious. The coffee is fresh and hot. been 8 years since I last came here. used to be my go-to place for brunch. I'm happy to say that the standard has remained consistent all this while and Baby Barnaby's is still delicious! had the green eggs, my personal favorite. eggs were tasty, went well with the fresh buttered toast, fried potatoes, and sausage.great atmosphere too! though be mindful of the wait. go early, unless you're prepared to wait awhile. it's a tiny placeNickie Simon

Tucked in the neighborhood, this brightly colored breakfast joint serves delicious meals for cheap. Can't believe we had the green eggs, waffle, 2 extra eggs, sausage, and a big pot of coffee for $35! Great service and atmosphere, though the wait can be a bit long. Matt was welcoming from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. He knew all of the menu and gave us great recommendations! My husband got the chili burger and I got the bacon cheeseburger. Low Key place with great inexpensive breakfast and friendly faces!!! This is still a househould favorite. Scott is amazing and always ensures patrons receive great customer service. Food is always hot and fresh. They have fresh squeezed orange juice which is amazing.Note: There is parking however this little gem gets packed so try to get there early. You will be able to sit while waiting, but if there are lots of people you may have to wait on the side walk. There are no buzzers but the staff do really good calling your names. I was in town visiting with my daughter and we decided to try this place out. There is a breakfast side and a lunch side. We decided to try out there breakfast side; on this side you can sit inside the cozy spot or outside in the patio area. I had a basic breakfast, grits, eggs, and bacon. Unfortunately, we didn't like our grits too much, it was a bit too gritty for our liking. We prefer our grits to be more smooth and creamy. My over hard eggs and bacon was done just right! The pancake was quite big so my daughter and I order one and it was just enough for us to split in half and it was good. Of course, I had to have my morning caffeine. My first cup was just okay meaning for me, it was just not hot enough. However, I requested another cup of "hot freshly brewed coffee" and the waiter was on top of it! My daughter had their freshly squeezed orange juice and she said it was just okay. Overall, we liked the food and had fantastic service, our waiter John and the other waiter were nice and very attentive. I would definitely go back to try other items for breakfast or the lunch side.Kerry

I love Barnaby's! One of my favorite lunches is their club sandwich, so good and that honey mustard is the perfect accompaniment. Obviously the food is great, but can we spend a moment appreciating Barnaby's to-go cutlery?Stab your salad with abandon because your fork isn't going to break. And the napkin? What can I not say. The customer service is beyond excellent and goes beyond my expectations. Though small it's serves customers with all their needs and wants. This was our first visit here on the recommendation of my daughter. We visited the original location in Montrose. The staff was immediately very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant has a fun quirky interior. I ordered the albacore sandwich and side salad and both were enormous. I could only eat half of what I ordered which is great, because now I have a delicious lunch for tomorrow. Ingredients were very fresh and well prepared. My husband had the blue cheese burger with fries and it was equally huge and a large side of fries. He said it was tasty. The service was top notch and very cheerful. I would definitely come to this location again. The place is comfy and casual with on-site parking.Christian Nygren

The food is quite good and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff are friendly and responsive. The OJ is fresh squeezed where you can watch. For hot teas they have chamomile and a green tea when I went, hopefully they'll add a black tea option in the future. Parking is limited, but so is seating. There was a line out the door waiting for seats by the time my group finished. My friend who lives nearby loves the place but will readily admit, 'if there isn't parking that means it's too busy to wait.' However, if you can snag a parking spot, the experience is lovely.Rick Nunez

Great food!!! We stopped by for lunch and ordered their Monday special which is chicken fried steak and I had their mashed potatoes (instead of fries). It was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Hawaiian pork chops with fries and wow, the taste was awesome! Highly recommend visiting this location. I always love coming here. I bring anybody who visits from New York to this place. The one down in the Montrose. The staff is super friendly, the prices are decent, the food is fresh and plenty of it. The freshly squeezed orange juice is the best along with the freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. They gave you plenty of coffee the area is fantastic very walkable if you want to take a nice walk right after breakfast or brunch.Daniel Ampuero

Overall, this was a good experience. My food was tasty and well prepared and the cost was reasonable. This is pretty far from my office, so I don't think I'd trek all the way over here just for the food, but if I were in the area I would come back. My server did not seem very interested in answering my questions, but he was prompt and not rude. The mini brownie for dessert was the perfect size for a little snack. The strawberry lemonade was good, but very sweet. My burger was easily the best part of the meal. It was cooked to medium and juicy and the flavor and bun were great.Monica F.
