Café Nil, nestled in Munich's vibrant Glockenbachviertel, has been a cornerstone of the city's gay scene since its inception in 1988. The venue's Egyptian-inspired décor, complete with hieroglyphs and warm sandstone hues, offers a cozy atmosphere reminiscent of a living room.
The menu features unique dishes like the cornflake-breaded schnitzel, pork stew, and goulash soup, catering to diverse tastes.
Open daily from 3 PM to 3 AM, Café Nil welcomes guests of all backgrounds, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors.
Its central location on Hans-Sachs-Strasse makes it easily accessible for those exploring Munich's nightlife.
The waiter asked from where we come from when we asked for drink, like tò say :we Will decide of you can stay here according to where you come from. It Is not a corret and polite policy. I suggest to All people who dislike discrimination not to go to drink in this pub.
One of the gay institution bar in Munich. The only gay bar that I know who serves dinner. They always have interesting menus. The owner and the server will always feels you at home and they treat you as a guest in their house. Good drinks and good food !
Beers are great Schnitzel is very yummy. However the service is super slow, took 20 mins to come take the order at the table and another 10mins to get the beer. Oh wait, another 20 mins to get the bill and to pay. LOL. If you are handsome German and good looking you will get service in half time.
A charming and familiar place, with nice and friendly service, you easily feel yourself at home. The food is well prepared and delicious. Try their strawberry cake. Good place for dinner on a weekend, or just sit in, let’s have a sip and a chat with your friend or with your significant other.
The Nile is and will remain my favorite bar café in Munich. I'm not gay but it's still one of my favorite places in the Glockenbachviertel. I am always happy to be there to enjoy the casual atmosphere and the delicious food. a specialist thanks to the whole team best regards to Basti
