Club U Rudolfa, located in the heart of Prague near Wenceslas Square, is a cozy, no-frills gay bar that’s perfect if you're looking for a laid-back vibe. This spot draws a mixed crowd, including locals and visitors, with a mature and bear-friendly clientele. If you’re into retro vibes, you’ll love the jukebox that blasts Czech hits alongside pop and Top 40 tunes. The beer is cheap, featuring Czech classics like Pilsner and Gambrinus on tap, making it a great spot for casual drinks with friends.
The atmosphere here is old-school and authentic, with a traditional pub interior that’s super welcoming. It’s not a high-energy club, but more of a chill place to relax, chat with locals, and enjoy a drink. It’s especially popular with older guys and anyone looking for a more relaxed night out in Prague’s LGBTQ+ scene. Club U Rudolfa is open late, so it’s ideal for a nightcap after sightseeing or bar-hopping.
Funny little dive bar, but I found it comfortable. A group sat with me at my table and started loudly singing opera tunes, but we just clinked glasses and laughed together. It was a hoot. 🙂
Oh no. This place needs a facelift. Not friendly, small and not fun. Looks like grandmas apartment. If they would say hello and be welcoming might be different, but such a turnoff for a visitor. I would rather go to a straight bar than this cellar trap. Get better.
This place is like from Pedro Almodovar movie - full of mellow gays. Atmophere is spectacular. Owner is like Queen of the place - emancipated and little bit rude 🙂 Place is very small & cosy. Has even small aquarium. And the music... I was amased by the soundtrack of this place - 80s czech disco. My favorite track was Karel Gott - Zustanu svuj. Highly recommend this place.
İ was in Prague some time ago and visited this bar many nights... I am visiting the city again and this place for sure. İt is a real comfortable bar to spend your time and drink good beer. I highly recommend it. Bartenders are always available for your inquiries.
U Rudolfa remains as probably the oldest gay bar in Prague. The main room is very retro: lots of bits of old Czech pub culture on the walls. The crowd is...
