Dirty Dicks on Warmoesstraat is known for its dark and sleazy atmosphere, catering to a crowd that thrives on intense and often extreme gay fetish experiences. With a history rooted in the city's gay fetish culture, Dirty Dicks offers a dual-floor setup complete with bars, dark rooms, cabins, and diverse play areas.
The bar is a hotspot for themed events and parties, which are held throughout the week, often extending into the early hours of the morning. Themes range from naked dark cruising to full-on fetish weekends, drawing a mixed crowd looking for uninhibited fun. Although there are no strict dress codes, patrons are encouraged to "dress to impress," with common attire including leather, rubber, and other fetish gear.
Reviews highlight the bar's commitment to safety and inclusivity, providing free condoms, lube, gloves, and even soap to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. The staff are noted for their friendliness and helpful attitude, contributing to an environment where patrons can truly be themselves without judgment.
Dirty Dicks not only embodies the spirit of Amsterdam's liberal and open-minded approach to gay nightlife but also serves as a cultural fixture that embraces the diversity and dynamism of the community.
I went last night. It was early so I wasn’t expecting it to be busy but the guy at the bar had a legitimate interest in making people feel at home. I got to explore the bar and it looks like a great place but I had to leave just as things were getting interesting. Had a great time otherwise
Always nice up here. And the last comment is not right. The full story is different so he is lying and stupid. i like all of the bar staff and there is never a problem.
Today (2nd October 2024), I ordered a gin & tonic. The bartender dropped a glass of gin on the bar counter. I saw the glass of gin and a bottle of water next to it, and I thought the bottle was tonic for me, so I poured it into my gin glass. As soon as he saw this, the bartender overreacted and yelled at me, saying I had made a big mistake because that bottle wasn’t mine but belonged to a client who had gone to the WC. Naturally, I couldn’t have known that.He also yelled at me, demanding that I pay for two shots of gin, all in front of other customers. I agreed to pay and did so immediately without any complain (although he was being rude).Meanwhile, he was speaking with other customers in Spanish, and they were laughing at me. The bartender didn’t know that I am fluent in Spanish, so I understood everything but chose not to say anything. Later, I asked him if we could have a word, but in front of everyone, he said he was busy. I respected his space. After about an hour, I decided to leave and asked him again to speak with me, explaining that he made me feel uncomfortable in front of all the customers. He insisted he wasn’t wrong. I reminded him that I had paid for what he requested, and there was no reason for him to yell at me. I also mentioned that I am fluent in Spanish (then I changed from English to Spanish) and fully understood how the other customers were laughing at me when he had yelled and he didn’t do anything. At first he was surprised but then he responded by telling me that I’m not Dutch (?) and that I don’t understand how things work in the Netherlands, adding that he had lived in Holland for 30 years and he is Dutch (as if I am not Dutch?). I replied to him that I am Dutch as well. He then said, “You aren’t Dutch because you don’t speak a word in Dutch”, and yield at me to leave the bar immediately. I left the bar although one client told me not to leave, adding that he did feel safe anymore in the bar.Can someone from the management of this bar help me understand this case of discrimination, disrespect, and rudeness? I have made this post in English so international clients can see how I have been mistreated, even as a local citizen. I want to emphasize that in Holland, there is no space for this kind of discrimination.
Very nice ambience and super friendly staff. This is a place full of surprises. Not for the one who's faint at heart!. At the beginning of the Warmostraat, Is very close to the central station and Damrak.Music is superb!
Had a good time on a Wed! My friend got 2 young guys and I talked to many new friends there, really cool bar. I had so much fun that I didn't realized that I forgot my bag until next the morning 11am and my flight was at 3:25 pm and the owner is out of town. But the owner was very helpful and did all he could to help me, thx God by miracle I managed to get the bag and used less than 20min to pass security n passport, thx DD's management! Definately a good place to visit!
Accompanied friends to check it out but got an unwelcoming vibe as soon as we. entered. Next we received nothing but rude and racist service so we left without ordering. Didn’t deserve our $
Very rude bartender trying to sell overpriced Heineken on the entrance. Apparently stupid to understand that I will leave more money if I feel comfortable and get the serviceUPDATE: don’t believe the owner reply!

Nice pub, full of people. I had so much fun with a sexy blond guy, who first thought I was an escort (I understand, my outfit was really cool 😉).The staff is also very kind. One of them cared also of closing the door of the cabin for me and the blond guy. Such a nice gesture. One tip: the soap dispenser to clean up was empty. You know… the name says it all, but… 😅See you anyway soon 😉
Worst club to visit in Amsterdam. Walked in the door and got told to leave immediately as the club was only for men … I am a man. Didn’t bother arguing as it’s clearly not where I want to spend my evening. Found another bar two minutes up the road with friendly staff and dark rooms.
Beware!! Frequented by pickpockets!!! Had cash and credit cards stolen, and I was wearing a wrest wallet and they still got me!!! Also got another guy within the same hour!! Staff acted as though it was nothing so one has to assume this is a constant issue. Oh and I was not robbed in the dark area they got me at the cloak check!!Be very careful or better yet stay away!
I had the best time. Short visit in Amsterdam but fit two visits to DD. Staff were great. Met so many interesting men and chatted casually at the bar then played with many in dark rooms. Couldn't get enough. Planning trip back. Loved it.
I didn't like it, the entrance is €8 and you have to consume 2 drinks apart from the entrance €4+4 for two soft drinks (it seems quite abusive to me). The place is dirty, your feet stuck to the floor more than you can imagine. Conclusion: you will spend €16 to have the possibility of catching an STD.
