It has a modest interior with cozy seating, leaving just enough space for occasional drag performances and themed events that spark camaraderie among patrons. The bartenders put together classic cocktails and experiment with creative mixes, making the drinks menu appealing to those looking for something a little different. Colorful accents adorn the space, subtly reflecting the inclusive spirit of this gay-friendly spot while pop and dance music pump softly in the background.
Frolic Bar’s location near popular tourist sites makes it an easy find for visitors seeking a relaxed hangout in Ho Chi Minh City’s gay nightlife scene. On quieter nights, guests can grab a seat at the bar, strike up conversations with the approachable staff, and get tips on nearby late-night eateries. The energy picks up on weekends when a diverse crowd comes by to socialize and enjoy the good vibes. Regulars appreciate the unpretentious feel of the place, and newcomers quickly settle in. It typically stays open late, allowing night owls plenty of time to immerse themselves in the local LGBTQ community.
Frolic Restaurant and Bar – A Haven of Inclusivity and Exceptional ServiceNestled in what appears to be a bustling nightlife scene, Frolic Restaurant and Bar stands out as a beacon of joy and acceptance, particularly for the LGBTQ community. Having visited (or imagined visiting!) this establishment, I can confidently say it’s a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a night of fun, fabulous company, and impeccable service.Atmosphere and LGBTQ FriendlinessThe moment you step into Frolic, you’re enveloped in a kaleidoscope of colors and energy, as evident from the neon lights and rainbow-themed decor in the images. The presence of a “Pool Party” poster with rainbow accents suggests a strong commitment to celebrating diversity, making it a safe and inclusive space for the LGBTQ community. The lively crowd, captured in candid group photos, reflects a diverse mix of people enjoying themselves without judgment, a hallmark of a truly welcoming environment. Whether it’s the weekly parties or the regular events hinted at by the signage (“1st Floor,” “More Bar Space”), Frolic clearly caters to a broad audience, with a special nod to those who identify within the LGBTQ spectrum. The rainbow flags and inclusive vibe create an atmosphere where everyone can be their authentic selves, dancing, laughing, and sipping cocktails in harmony.Superb StaffWhat truly elevates Frolic to the next level is its outstanding staff. The images show a group of patrons clearly enjoying themselves, and it’s easy to infer that the attentive and friendly service plays a big role in this. The staff seem to go above and beyond, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for. From the way drinks are served with a smile to the energetic engagement with the crowd, the team at Frolic exudes professionalism and warmth. The presence of wristbands and the casual yet coordinated attire of the staff suggest a well-organized operation, where attention to detail meets a laid-back, party-ready attitude. Whether it’s mixing creative cocktails or keeping the dance floor alive, the staff’s enthusiasm is infectious, making every visit feel like a personal celebration.Food and DrinksWhile the images don’t showcase the menu, the bar setting and the drinks in hand (like the colorful cocktails visible) hint at a robust drink selection, likely tailored to suit the festive mood. I’d wager Frolic offers a range of inventive cocktails, perhaps with special promotions during their events (the poster mentions “5 cocktails at only VND 90k”), which is a fantastic deal for a night out. The food, though not pictured, is likely a complement to the vibrant scene—think shareable plates or light bites perfect for a night of dancing and socializing. The bar’s setup, with its modern lighting and spacious layout, suggests a focus on creating an experience rather than just serving meals, though I’d love to hear more about the culinary offerings if they’re as impressive as the ambiance.Overall ExperienceFrolic Restaurant and Bar is more than just a place to eat and drink—it’s a community hub where inclusivity and excellent service shine. The LGBTQ-friendly environment is palpable, with decor and events designed to celebrate diversity, while the staff’s dedication ensures every guest leaves with a smile. {Non-Halal} One of the best Bar I visited in my life. Definitely fall in love with their service and also atmosphere. If you visit Ho Chi Minh City and you're more to LGBT community, YES This Bar Is For You 100%. The staff was super friendly and so accommodating. Believe me I spend almost 9hours there and it worth the price. No food menu but there is Alot of drinks you can try out. Mostly crowded and you can see live performance either by the bar itself or the customer who come in 😆 IKYK. The vibes is incredible awesome. Try once and you will added to your Fav List. I will definitely go again if I visited HCMC. Highly Recommend!
The bar was good but the best part was the drag show with good music and good dancing. Could have been more crowded but I was there a Sunday night. Can recommend.
The show starts at 12am. Entry fee was 100k vnd. Please check out their instagram post before coming.Sooooo good, shame that I was late and I only saw two shows.
We’ve been here for several times and the staff is amazing. The bar is not that big but cozy and there is always a good vibe. U definitely should go there when you visit Saigon, especially when there is a drag show with sexy dancers.
So much fun, and surprisingly late on a week day night. Great music to dance to and workers who are having fun and enjoying their job. Definitely a bar to check out in Saigon, and can be a cool place to meet someone new, as I did.
The space is great, although a bit overwhelming and smells a bit like cigarettes, but that's okay. The cocktails here are quite good, I really like the Maitai and the prices are very reasonable. The staff always know how to chat with customers when the bar is not busy, ... everything creates a fun and great atmosphere. I will come here every week.
Went on a Tuesday night and there was no one there. Kudos to one of the bar staff who engaged me in banter given the lack of punters. Went the next night and the aforementioned barman greeted me like a long lost friend. Truly a lovely greeting, and made my night. A small but lively crowd on the second evening, and new friends were made. Recommended.
I came here on Thursday night because I had to go back to my country on Friday. It was a pity that I couldn't see the Drag show 😇 but I was very happy and felt always welcome here. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic, always dancing to create fun and excitement for the customers ❤️ I will come back here when I return to Vietnam. Drinks 8/10, atmosphere 9/10, service 10/10
Frolic Bar is a fantastic place for a fun night out! The drinks are excellent, and the music is right up my alley, featuring tracks from my personal playlist. The atmosphere is lively but not overwhelming, and the crowd is friendly - especially the locals, who are both welcoming and fun. It’s a great spot to enjoy a great night out with a good vibe all around.
