After a brief hiatus, the club made a triumphant return, now located at 262 Karangahape Road, offering a welcoming space for the entire LGBTQIA+ community.
Open every Friday and Saturday from 10 pm to 4 am, G.A.Y features an energetic atmosphere with high-energy music, late-night dancing, and a diverse crowd. The club is renowned for its dynamic drag performances, with shows typically kicking off around 1:30 am, showcasing some of Tāmaki Makaurau's most iconic artists.

Horrible premise, smelly and dirty! Not very attractive bar staff. A sad excuse of a Gay Club especially for Auckland’s Largest City. I wouldn’t recommend bothering - it’s on the same level as Cruz Christchurch which No Longer Exists for a Good Reason, I’d recommend a change of premise and Management!Hannah Mackers

First experience at a gay bar and the turnout was great!! Patrons and staff were very welcoming and friendly. Loved popping my drag show cherry here, lots of support and inclusiveness.Ji-Hyun A

I recently visited this gay bar and was shocked by the discriminatory behavior I encountered. Upon arriving, I was informed by a female staff member that individuals with foreign passports were not allowed entry. This blatant display of racism and xenophobia is unacceptable and goes against the principles of inclusion and diversity that should be embraced by any establishment. No one should be denied access based on their nationality or ethnicity. It is disheartening to see such attitudes persist in this day and age. I urge the management to reevaluate their entry policies and ensure that their establishment remains a welcoming space for all, regardless of their background.Julia Mcgaghey

Best nightclub on K road! The staff are so friendly and the happiness, safety and inclusivity of all customers is always at the top of their priority list. Great drinks especially the Bust Op cocktail and UV vodka with lemonade. Some of the biggest highlights of this year have been dancing here to the awesome music with great friends. At G.A.Y the highlight of the night would have to be the 1:30am drag shows hosted by Vanessa Laroux, so much talent.
