Tucked away in Barcelona's vibrant Raval district, La Casa de la Pradera has been a cornerstone of the city's LGBTQ+ scene for over a decade. This unpretentious bar, located at Carrer de les Carretes, welcomes a diverse crowd with its laid-back atmosphere and inclusive spirit.
Regular patrons and newcomers alike appreciate the bar's eclectic events, which showcase local queer talent. From "La casa de las dives," celebrating the city's queer performers, to "La noche de las versiones," directed by the renowned Evripidis Sabatis, there's always something engaging happening.
La Casa de la Pradera operates from Wednesday to Sunday, opening its doors at 7 pm on weekdays and 5:30 pm on Sundays. It's an ideal spot to start your evening with reasonably priced drinks and complimentary tapas. The bar's friendly vibe makes it a popular gathering place for both locals and visitors.
Whether you're looking to enjoy a relaxed drink on the terrace or dive into the energetic nightlife, La Casa de la Pradera offers a welcoming space for all.
Great location, more lesbian than La Federica, and more edgy (ie. intense) as well. Unfortunately that also means a stricter door policy and the odd incident of people getting thrown out.Bar staff are totally lovely though, and so are most of the clientele. The toilets, however, are a vomit-inducing disaster... and even for that people jump the queue 😅
Disappointing - the male staff served all other white clients before an ethical minority...Sad to say guys, I was recommended to come here because it apparently stood for diversity and representation in Barcelona. Yet, when I was at the bar, the guy served everyone but me to the last (a gay, south asian male). The female barman tried to serve me but she was re-directed by the same colleague to serve yet another white male customer... I guess white guys still rule...
