Come and meet Gato he was amazing! Great atmosphere and great people. We came to this place cause my name is Carmen and I loved it of course! Highly recommended
Stumbled across this place totally by accident on our way elsewhere and stopped in for a drink! The decor is pretty cool, and it's quite spacious with lots of seating. The drinks are quite expensive however. Especially in relation to other bars in the area. It was over 7€ for a basic rail vodka with soda. And it was mostly soda water.Bartender was cold. He was not unfriendly, just disinterested. Maybe because we are women. Not sure but it wasn't very welcoming. He barely said a word to us, and then got my drink wrong somehow. I didn't bother to complain. As a note for other non-men, while it says it's a "queer/LGBTQ+ bar" and advertises trans, nonbinary, etc. the clientele when we were there was exclusively cis gay males. So, if you're a gay man, it's perfect for you! If you're a lesbian like I am, it may not be the best spot to meet other women. It's probably not news to any gay women or nonbinary folks to hear of another gay men's bar, but here we are again. Still very rare to find spaces for us all equally. If it wasn't advertising itself as a progressive queer/LGBTQ+ bar right there on the door, I don't think we would have been so disappointed. Just be honest. It's like every other bar for gay dudes and that's okay. It's not a bad bar at all, despite the expensive drinks. I imagine it could be quite fun even if you're not a gay man... as long as your expectations are realistic.
Had a great time here at karaoke night with my partner! Very fun atmosphere, drinks were good, a little crowded for my tastes but overall a great time.
Great place! We were 5 people... 3 visiting from Provincetown Mass (USA) and 2 from Barcelona. We stumbled upon this place after having dinner and thought it looked interesting ... and sure enough, it is. Great service (with a smile!), great drinks. Super happy. We will be back. Highly recommend!
This bar is PERFECTION.the vibe is incredible. The lighting is top notch. The staff are kind, helpful, excellent at making mixed drinks. The music is really chill and it creates an incredible atmosphere. There is a great sign which says “present is queer” - the owner wanted people to remember the now, the right here and where we are. If you go to Candy Darling you will see a sign which says “the future is queer” - Carmen is in the middle of the “old” gay bars and the new ones. The bathrooms are also amazing with the black tile design and it’s one of the most tagged bathrooms on Instagram in Barcelona.Bathrooms are gender neutral and incredibly clean and well kept.Various shows and performances happen here and to close them off there are curtains throughout the seating area which are pulled when a show is on. This is to separate it the bar more so people know that the show is happening and to pay attention.I would have spent all night here I absolutely adored it. Make sure you go.
the atmosphere is very relaxed, the dramatic red lighting makes everything more interesting, I can't say but I think the place is new, at least it seems, it needs more personality but for Instagram lovers it makes for good photos. I imagine that in a while it will be a great place to go.
