Tucked away in Barcelona's vibrant El Raval neighborhood, Madame Jasmine stands as a distinctive queer-owned bar that embraces diversity and self-expression. Known as ""The Genderfuck House,"" this spot is celebrated for its eclectic decor and inclusive atmosphere, making it a beloved gathering place for the city's LGBTQ+ community.
The interior is a visual feast, with a mix of kitsch and vintage elements that create a unique and welcoming environment. The bar frequently hosts drag nights and themed events, offering an underground club feel that attracts a younger, open-minded crowd.
Visitors often praise the friendly and engaging staff, who contribute to the bar's relaxed and inviting vibe. The music selection is diverse, enhancing the overall experience, and the reasonably priced drinks make it an accessible spot for both locals and tourists.
Situated at Rambla del Raval, Madame Jasmine is more than just a bar; it's a community hub where people from all walks of life come together to enjoy a night out in a safe and inclusive setting. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this bar offers a genuine slice of Barcelona's dynamic queer nightlife.
Authentic place in the middle of raval (ravalistan). Good variety of drinks, terrace and originality. Worth to visit on Friday/ Saturday night, can be a bit crowded.
Looked like a nice bar. Unfortunately, if you are not queer, you get insulted, mistreated and physically harassed not only by clients, but also by staff
The staff didn't give us any real welcome despite the bar being empty, It's not worth traveling to if you're an LGBT+ tourist, but this bar is quite cute if you're in the area anyway.
Incredible interior - evocative of Almodovar’s movies back in the day.The staff were kind and helpful, they were also incredibly welcoming. This bar accepts everyone - no matter which letter you ascribe to - LGBTQ - it’s also extremely Trans friendly so if you’re looking for this then this place is the place to be.The music was really cool and there are so many amazing touches to the decor - it’s varied and fascinating. A proper old school LGBTQ bar in the center of the Rambla.
Reasonable prices, solid inclusive queer energy, nice staff and fun, campy decor. Would absolutely recommend / return. Especially appreciated the free make up for folks to get dolled up 💅🏾✨
Lots of bad reviews but I thought this place was great and the door man was lovely.Funky bar opposite my hotel; stayed for a drink and caught the vibe - fab little LGBTQ space
