No one warned me the lights would be on. Drinks are good and fine price, but I felt like I was at a 2010s frozen yogurt shop. No standing around a bar to mingle with strangers! You’re seated at a Formica table with lights highlighting every pore detail.
They forgot about our mains and we waited a long time for them to come out. All the people beside us that had arrived and ordered after us had already finished their meals by the time ours came out. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the wait. Then when I paid the bill he asked me if I was going to add a tip in front of everyone around. When I said no thank you, he said something in Italian to the other waiter and held up the receipt. The other one then said thank you in a sarcastic manner.
This was a great stop after visiting the Colosseum (so many people). The drink menu had plenty of fun options and the Mai Tai was amazing (very strong) and hit the spot. The Miami Tea (blue drink) was great. The staff were also friendly and a lot of fun. We definitely recommend!
Creative drink menu- my friends and I really enjoyed the drinks here. I ordered the ginger mojito because I love ginger and the real ginger flavor is definitely pronounced which I enjoyed. The Negroni was also great. The pink drink is a flavored margarita (forgot the flavor), she loved this drink and ordered it 3 more times while we were here. Originally there wasn’t any outdoor seating for our party of 4. As soon as a spot opened up, the waitress let us know and moved us outdoors which was very nice. Though it was a Sunday night, they had a DJ and the music was great! We were dancing in our seats and singing the whole night. Drink prices are average- 10 euros per cocktail. There’s a nice partial view of the coliseum with the outdoor seating. We had a great time and would definitely return.
hands down, the worst food we had in italy, you will be paying this tourist trap for its proximity to the colosseum. we had the veal with roasted potatoes...
I’d like to say this place situated in a good location unfortunately, the tents from the next bar on the left hand side disadvantage your view (sadly) but we don’t mind and it is not your fault 🤭.Cocktails were not that bad but not impressive, my bf’s aperitif was good but my Moscow mules was so so.A bit surprised to be asking for moving to the first table ( we were sitting in the middle table) with the reason for sparing the table for a expecting bigger group to sit together next to us (ended up with two guys sitting next to us lol).Toilet was overwhelmingly used, understandable!Good to tryPros and consPS I like the way that the owner responded to the negative/unfair comments. It made me laugh a lot.
Small spot near the Colosseum that I understand is a gay bar but during the day it was just a regular caffe' to me.Service was fine (we just had a drink...
