Quetzal Bar in Paris is the go-to spot in Le Marais if you're looking to dive into the local gay scene. Think of it as that chill friend's place where everyone ends up on the weekend – only cooler and with a way better drinks menu. The vibe? It's laid-back but somehow always buzzing, especially when the weekend hits. The crowd? An awesome mix of friendly faces from all walks of life, ready to mingle or just kick back and enjoy the scene.
This spot's got history, too, making it feel like you're part of Paris' vibrant gay tapestry just by walking in. And with its recent facelift, Quetzal's only gotten better at drawing a crowd that's as diverse as it is dynamic. Whether you're here for the tropical cocktails or the classic Grimbergen, you're in for a good time. Plus, they've got this cool, dark upstairs space if you're looking for a quieter spot to chat or something more. Weekends come with DJs and occasional special performances, turning the place into a mini dance party that's hard to resist.
Besides the fact that once in 30 minutes it felt like the gay Muslim brotherhood took over the playlist, that is such a fun place!Well done to the team that giving such a welcoming energy to everyone! That’s my place in Paris!
It was a fun experience for me and my friends. Mainly people stand outside so inside there was a lot of space, but we also went outside where people are charting. We had pints of beer, not much music outside. Crowds divided into small personal groups.
Travelers Beware: Sharing my experience to keep others informed. As someone who loves exploring different scenes, I decided to check out a spot I'd heard about while traveling. Let's just say it didn't go as planned. They're running a coordinated scam--bartenders included. They took my card and cash, and when I went back to confront them, they just laughed and pointed like it was a joke.Little did they know, it was petty cash, and the card was already blocked. I'm from the hoods of Los Angeles, California--this doesn't scare me, but it sure taught me a lesson. Watch out for groups like Karim and his crew, who seem to have their schemes in full swing. My advice: stay away unless you're ready to chalk it up as charity work. Consider this a PSA--be smart, stay safe, and support communities that deserve it!I have pictures of him

Great crowd, very friendly service, a fun local bar with a great community vibe.Sadly there was something very wrong with the sound system when we visited, a busy Saturday night with a dj playing a party set, but the speakers cut out 10-20 times every song for the whole evening. The staff and the dj didn’t notice, or maybe this is normal. Very hard to enjoy the music when it keeps disappearing.
This place is always packed and it's a really nice bar to have a drink after work or on the way home. The patrons are usually friendly and the music is pumping. Don't expect intimate conversations, it's hard to hear your own thoughts here....
an hour agoSeptember the 4th 20203, There were 2 guys serving by 11:00 pm, both Brazilian… the tall with the hat nice. However, the other one an arrogance in person. I didn’t realized he was also Brazilian I came trying to comunicante in English with him, the face of lack of empathy and patience with me because of my limitations with with French embarrassed me so much, that I just had a drink and left. PLUS, I realized they were Brazilians because they were talking in Portuguese badly about other customers :). Too much attitude, I won’t recommend this place 😄
Cute concept, similar to other bars around but servers are much more fun and friendly, the DJ is also at the bar so makes it fun to watch play his music. Stairs to the bathroom can be deadly so be extra careful !
Good vibes!! Don't miss out on this little gem. We encountered this bar randomly, and were so surprised by how great the atmosphere was. The bartender...
Fun, friendly crowd!Came here on a Friday night at around 11pm and it was certainly happening although it wasn't crazy packed. The bar's inside is pretty...
