I had a very relaxing and enjoyable massage by Walter at Octopus Sauna, he was professional and excellent at what he does. The sauna itself offers a variety of great facilities, making it a nice place to unwind. However, there is room for improvement in the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the overall hospitality of the staff. With a bit more attention to these aspects, it could be an even better experience.
Very clean and hygienic. People who work here are also nice, except one guy who is not professional at all. I think they should think twice before hiring anyone and everyone.
Been twice this week and I was very impressed with the facility. Very clean, lovely pool area, nice sauna and steam room and a few private cabins. Also a great selection of people all ages and sizes. Fun was had by all I will return
Bear paradise. Rhaaaaah rhaaaaah 🐻❄️🐻 not my thing but five stars for large jacuzzi/ mini swimming pool and douche. Went on Thursday 6 pm and it was busy.
I visited on a Tuesday between 5 and 7 pm and while it was not crowded, there were certainly quite a few hot bears and chubs around. The cleaning staff was constantly on the job and kept making sure all cabins were clean after being used. I look forward to visiting on a weekend and hopefully getting a lot more attention 🙂 The guy at the counter was sweet and helpful. Which is rare at gay establishments in my experience.
I usually don`t post a review but in this case i felt I had to. My problem with this Sauna is that they do not make the appropriate safety measures for those who visit. I received a large very painful second degree burn!! on my arm from an exposed pipe in the sauna and had to be hospitalised!! on Sunday the 22nd of October, 2017. These careless and dangerous people have a completely exposed scalding hot copper pipe in the main sauna in the corner to the left. I touched of it just a second and scalded my whole arm. When i told them at reception i didn`t get very much help. I only reget not making a real scene and calling an ambulance. The burn ruined my trip and may leave me with permanent scarring. Be careful queers until the pipe is closed over this place is seriously dangerous.
Fantastic place. Friendly guy at the door. Clean all over. Wonderful facility’s. Really a great place. I can’t understand the other negative reviews. This place is great. Well done front counter man.
Sauna close to Tribunal metro station. Simple 3 min walk to the front door from there. Look for the blue mural. You buy your ticket from the machine on the left as you enter. It takes cash and cards.Take your ticket from the machine and give it to the guy behind the window. They will ask your shoe size for flip flops. Lear your euro size in Spanish.I visited on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy. Lots of older guys and some bears. There were a few younger, muscular guys but my observation was they were rude, entitled and appeared to be only interested in those who appeared to be prepared to share cash, but I could be a wrong impression. Having watched one guy hit another instead of a polite no however leaves me with doubts. My partner purchased a massage. For over 40 min he was told “just another 5 min” while they tried to get the masseur in. They were not going to give a refund until he insisted. There are 2 dark rooms where lots of the action happens. The steam room is another focal point with better lighting.Showers are hot as is the spa pool. There are rooms upstairs and a bar. This place can be hit or miss. If you like bigger guys over 60, I can recommend Sunday afternoon. This is an older sauna. It’s obviously been enjoyed for many years.
Horrible place. The guy at the entrance hardly says a word and is very unhelpful. The bar is too sad, no-one there to buy a drink even after ringing the bell several times. Hardly any people on Tuesday night. When we left at 9.30, the place was deserted. Positive: good pool and dry sauna.
1 towel is all you get here so keep it as dry as possible. Old man at the entrance is just a bitter old queen. This place used to busy with all ages and sizes. Now just old men.
I'll rate the place on two criteria:Infrastructure and the talentI came kind of late so I guess most of the people had already been.. The few bears I found there seemed to be wrapping up their play... Even then only the one younger looking bear looked like he might have been fun.People really do make a place though and with such a quiet crowd the tired and old setup really stood out for me. We really are living through tough times right now so I guess I should not judge too harshly. This place is not for me... I would need to come back with fresh openness of perspective to decide differently about it.
Absolutely fantastic visit to this very clean place. The guys were hot and handsome and hairy, just how I like. Fantastic facilities and friendly staff.
Exceptionally clean facilities, most of the men are older (40+) but you will find younger men as well. The staff is very accommodating and tourist friendly. While in Madrid, I went to two different places, the first was considered the most popular among the younger crowd but the truth is, is absolutely dirty and disgusting! I don't know why Sauna Octopus isn't frequented by more people, perhaps it's because they are too clean and drug free? It's truly a wonderful place and I highly recommend it to any tourist visiting Madrid. Just remember, gay men in Madrid tend to be racist against Americanos from the states so if you don't speak Spanish, tell them you are Canadian or simply speak with body language rather than words. Have fun guys!
This sauna is very centrally located near Tribunal Metro and buses. The place has a novel entry system as you have to ‘feed' your money into a vending machine to obtain your ticket to give to the attendant for your key! Perhaps they don’t trust their staff to handle money! The sauna is particularly well fitted-out, having a large pool with water jets, large team room and a sauna with a window overlooking the pool. This wet area is situated in the basement which also includes a couple of darkroom areas including a sling. St. Andrew cross and a video area and a g.h. section. On the ground floor there is a bar and various cubicles as well as the changing area. The ‘macho’ clientéle are mainly in their 30's and 40's and there was much activity in the dark rooms. With its the central location, facilities (although it doesn’t have a Jacuzzi), the age and type of clientéle this must be one of the most popular saunas and was certainly visit busy on the Friday afternoon I visited.
Another sauna with silly ticket machine. Although there is no hot tub, this place has a big pool with hydropump. The sauna and steamroom are spacious and have good ambience. The bar is quite nice with glass floor looking down to the pool. The staff is a bit overly eager at cleaning up. They took my drink ticket and my clean towel.
