About
Side Track, Stockholm’s oldest gay bar, is a must-visit for anyone seeking a welcoming and relaxed LGBTQ+ scene in the heart of Södermalm. Established over 23 years ago, this cozy underground spot on Wollmar Yxkullsgatan is known for its friendly staff, laid-back atmosphere, and delicious food and drinks. Whether you’re grabbing a drink with friends or looking to make new connections, Side Track has a vibe that feels like home.
The bar is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 6 PM to 1 AM, making it the perfect pre-party destination or a chill night out. Expect a mix of pop and classic hits from their occasional DJ sets, and don't forget to sample their signature drinks before heading out. Hungry? You’re covered! The bar also serves up tasty Swedish cuisine at reasonable prices, from pub snacks to full-on meals.
Side Track’s intimate setting draws a diverse crowd, offering a warm embrace to locals and tourists alike. It’s small but mighty—ideal for sparking conversations with fellow partygoers or that charming stranger you just met on Grindr. Plus, it’s just a short walk from Mariatorget metro station, so getting there is a breeze!
What an amazing bar... Dodge the other gay bars and just go here...... Amazing staff and good drinks and music... A fab time... Sad it's only open from Wednesday... Open more!!
People, dont go there… you know when you act like a Maricon like we say in Spanish… yeah… because they are not good people there working… the boss Mikael or Jonas… just dont
Came here with my husband on a Saturday night on a visit to Stockholm. It was busy but we got some seats at the bar. There was a nice crowd of various ages, a good choice of beers and I really liked the music being played by the DJs. It's a pity that there is a just a tiny dancefloor and 2 toilets for the whole bar.
Had to pay 30kr $4.20 for them to hold a bag as I wasn't allowed to take my backpack in and $11.47 for hot beers. Really disappointed. Just a money grab. Quiet disgusting.
The only gay bear bar in Stockholm. The location is a bit far from the centre, around 10 minutes by metro from the main train station. Amazing drinks, quick service, the bar is small but cozy. The only complaint is they close early even on a weekend night.
Really nice bar with very friendly staff and super accommodating for two tourists that don’t know much about the local gay scene. The food was good; highly recommend the meatballs!
Super friendly bartenders! Felt very welcomed here at a traveler. Smaller dive bar feel. Bar is tucked away underground. Bathroom line was a disaster though, impossible to use the restroom.
Fabulous Food . We wanted to have drinks and dinner in an invitingly gay atmosphere and found Side Track. Down the staircase, you enter a cozy space with friendly staff. The food and drinks were delicious.
