Calling all LGBTQ+ royalty, rejoice! Berlin's Neukölln district boasts a haven for "kings, queens, and criminal queers" – the legendary Silver Future. Opened in 2007, this bar isn't just a place to clink glasses, it's a vibrant community hub.
Silver Future throws shade at heteronormativity right from the door. Inside, an eclectic mix of furniture and artwork reflects the diverse clientele. Expect to mingle with Berlin's coolest LGBTQ+ crowd, alongside international visitors seeking a taste of the city's famed queer scene.
While lesbian clientele hold a special place here, Silver Future is all about inclusivity. The welcoming atmosphere extends to the wallet-friendly drinks, making it the perfect spot for a casual night out or pre-club drinks.
Looking for more than just drinks? Silver Future regularly hosts exhibitions showcasing the best of queer culture. The bar also puts on killer events, so be sure to check their social media for upcoming drag shows, DJ nights, and themed parties.
I thought I was going to genuinely love this place, because it seemed like the perfect intimate queer bar we had been looking for with my friends, but then the service was so bad it left a bad taste in my mouth. We got to this bar and it was kind of full so we went to the first table we saw that had enough seats. Then a bartender came over and in an angry tone said that we shouldn't have sat there yet because they weren't done clearing it from previous costumers. Then they added rudely that "if you are going to order anything, you have to come to the bar" like as if we were expecting table service and were idiots. We said ofcourse and thank you and when we ordered, the same level of service continued with the other bartender, who laughed with their coworkers and other costumers, but with us, seemed like we had offended them, and when I gave a 3€ tip, they said "thank you" but only with a forced tone and no smile. This experience made us feel so unwelcome. There were also 3 people in our short time there that came and begged for money from us, and wouldn't leave us alone easily. The interior is amazing, and the vibe is good with the other costumers, but the staff must hate tourists A LOT based on our experience.
I was looking for a place like this--more queer, more sapphic, more lesbian. Less gay male. Nothing against gay men... They've done a lot for the community, but as a transgender woman, I like to find a place where I fit in a little more. This is it.
last time I went there was a banner in solidarity with palestine and a lot of stickers all around the place. now everything is gone which makes we wonder why.
Gloria's 'la pain de mie' music quiz is an absolute highlight. It's fun, interactive, and you can go on your own and find a team or come with friends.Staff are great at their job - there's an extensive cocktail menu that is definitely worth trying!
Nice vibe bar, cute decor and lots of Audrey Hepburn love. I was really happy with the bartender for making a specific drink for me they didn't have on menu. That's great service! Longdrinks are around 7€, so not badly priced. They have a smoking area in the back, but get there early cause it's pretty small and it gets packed. My biggest complaint though is the amount of homeless people that came in begging for cash from every patron. We were only there for maybe 2 hours and 4 came in. They seem to do well with lots of customers so maybe look into someone to watch the door?
Cool queer bar, second time being there and this time was very busy (oddly there was more man than women), we got lucky to get seats. Service was fast by the amount of people. Prices for drinks are very ok.
Cool queer bar with a nice aesthetic. The clientèle was inviting and fun. Lot of different people, from all identities and ages. The mixed drinks are very tasty. They have a dog that hangs out there sometimes.
So we got recommended this place by a blog post. It seemed nice, chill at first UNTIL we ordered our drink and were first, underpoured, and then, to top...
A few friends took me to this place after dinner. I thought it was a nice cozy place. It's got smoking and non-smoking rooms which I appreciate. They sell...
This place is not easy. It is absolutely packed at the weekend and there is no room to swing a cat (above the dogs heads) I got confused at the notice...
