Work event was hosted here, very friendly staff and the patrons are also great. We all got drinks-- they make a great martini, my margarita was very good,...
Great friendly staff, great bar. It is a bit cozy, but still with a cough space for a few groups. After enjoying a couple drinks at the bar we ordered a...
I love everyone at this bar… but if it weren’t for Jonathon and Isaac specifically, for always making us feel welcomed and loved, we would not frequent it as much as we do.They are truly bartending angels and so personable and amazing. Shout out to Garnet for also being a great team player and friend as well!If you want great vibe and great time, grab a drink here!
I don’t know what happened to this place. I have been a frequent customer for years, but over the past few months the bar has gone down hill. They were out of cranberry juice for over a month…. A month! And there was a whole week that whenever I stopped in they had no soda whatsoever, not even soda water. They frequently are out of 4-5 draft beers and they’re usually the ones I like. I have no idea what happened but I’m assuming there has been an incompetent management change. It’s not hard to walk around and see what you need, dear manager be better.
What happened here? This place used to play music videos behind the bar w/ loud, mostly good music - now it just plays sports that nobody watches and low decibel Christian rock.It feels like they’ve watered it down to appease to straight people who might stay at the hotel, but they’re happy enough to take our money and rep a gay flag if it means a steady stream of patrons.Doesn’t anyone know how to have fun anymore? Make gay bars gay again~great service and staff though, no notes
Had better expectations. Sat down for a Mother’s Day meal and drink and the server took over 20 minutes to acknowledge we were there. Luckily the manager stepped in shortly after we arrived. The server or bartender Ed poorly surveyed the area. He ignored many tables that were sat for long period of time then we saw him eating and standing to the side. Hopefully the next time we attempt this it won’t occur.Their IPAs were delightful as well as the food. This was the best part. Thank goodness for a great manager that’s attentive!
Had an awesome night on Saturday, but yesterday for brunch one of the bartenders Isaac was great but the other one was on his phone majority of the time not paying attention to much. The one drink I asked for he threw out and had to remake about 3 times. Kudos to Isaac for taking care of everyone at the bar!
I visit the staypineapple when I come to town from Florida and almost always eat here at least once during my visits to Boston. I came down for lunch...
Weird. This is a bar, with great potential to be a simple restaurant. They fail miserably. The food is quite good, but it does not act like a restaurant.
Stopped in to watch NFL football. Asked bartender to put on the bengals game as they had the same game on both tvs. Proceeded to tell me they were putting...
Good selection of signature cocktails at the bar; would recommend The Naked Experience. Bartender Will Hartzell was also very personable and took good care...
Went in on a Sunday at 745pm and ordered a martini. 15 mins later... they close the bar! Wish the bartender told me they close in 15 mins. Who guzzes a...
Trophy Room is the best trivia bar in Boston. Food is so immaculate. Nachos are 10/10. Pizza is 11/10. Drinks are a strong 12/10. They do trivia every Thursday.Johnny is the best!
We love trivia nights on Thursdays at the Trophy Room! The service is amazing and the vibes are fabulous. We always feel welcome and enjoy amazing food and drinks. You have to try the nachos. Johnny, the manager, is our favorite person ever! Highly recommend.
Bartender (John older man) was rude and didn’t address me as a person but spoke to others about me in third person? His ego has truly gotten to him and he feels now he has the authority to randomly make security decisions that aren’t based of facts after just entering the establishment. He hates men who have conversations with Females? He should be fired and young person who is good at what they do hired! This person is a Boston Buzz Kill and does not promote Happiness. Multiple instances indicate he is unhappy with his life.
I abso just Lovies!!! I often meet my little brother bestie there. It's where we reconvene and talk about all of our stuff. The J's at the bar are the sweetest people on the planet.
This is a cute little bar adjacent to the Staypineapple hotel in Boston. We were staying at the hotel and decided to pop in on a Thursday night and it was...
Bartender was lovely and kind. Wife was a bit inebriated so I tried to help her in the bathroom and was promptly kicked out by the manager. I assume because...
First time here, came with some friends and I have to say the service and drinks were 10/10. I ordered The Naked Experience and Fruity Rita. Our waiter Jonny was great, he was friendly and attentive! Definitely will be returning!!
Always friendly, always great food. Bartenders and owners are so nice. I always love coming here for dinner when I'm craving a good salad, burger, chowder. Really well done American fare. Queer-centric but straight people go too. Gets to be a bit of a party after dinner. Great vibes.
Stopped in from some drinks with the gang after walking back to the parking garage from the St. Patrick's Day parade in Southie. We only spotted the bar because it was right beneath the Pineapple Hotel, looked like a regular apartment building from the outside. But I bet in the summer, they open up the big windows to the street and that would be great to stop by again. We were greeted by the bartender at the bar like we were old friends, he was really funny and made us laugh with with questions and joked with us for a bit (didn't get his name but he was wearing a Green Celtics zip-up). Ordered a couple beers, a coke and water for the table. After chatting and watching some of the NCAA Basketball games we ordered a Hawaiian Pizza and it was cheap! The value may have been low but the pizza was delicious!! The bar staff was great too, one of them even pulled up a chair for our friend who was standing at the end of the table. They bathroom signs also say "Whatever" on them, open to anyone and not gender specific... clever idea! Looking forward for another great time at the Trophy Room.
I will not recommend this place I went there with a friend after work the manager accused me of being drunk and asked us to leave he was just been racist...
Great spot. Came here for a quick drink before seeing a show nearby. Ordered the Dirty Shirley (13) and I thought it was pretty decent. I liked the vibe...
I have only been here several times. Definitely a good go to spot to pregame before you party the night away. One of my go to drinks there is the Trophy...
Great service and food! My friends and I randomly went here after walking for 30 minutes because we didn’t have a reservation for brunch in Boston. Vibe is on point with vibrant colors, interesting decor, and people of different backgrounds all coming together and having a good time. Staff were friendly and had great recommendations. We would come here again and recommend our family/friends to go here
Had a lovely evening on first day .Next day I come in and the drinks at bar looked delicious, so I ask the bartender what drink did he just make and I want one ! He says - I don't remember. And he just made the drinks . Lol.I wanted to leave so gave a $20 bill for my $13 chicken wings . He gave me $2 back , saying it's 13.Well !! I gave you $20 not 15 ! I know you might be busy or busy to respond or may be listen .The point is Be nice to international travellers and don't throw that attitude around. No one deserves it ! 🙁
The staff needs to stop hounding customers 30min before last call to leave. The staff was literally counting us down you have 40m, you have 30m, you have...
So I went to Trophy Room one night, and the bar tender made me a drink. She happened to make excess and I asked if it was possible to have the rest of what...
Our first night in Boston and I desperately needed a salad. This was a two minute walk from where we were staying so we hit it. Seems to be more of a bar...
Very stylish and clean bar with a friendly atmosphere. I asked for an alcohol free drink because I'm driving and the owner made me a custom drink himself! Will definitely return to try the food 🙂
My girlfriend and I were visiting from Ottawa, Canada. We walked around aimlessly looking for somewhere to eat and saw Trophy Room! Walked in, service was amazing, food was delicious and everyone seemed to be in a great mood! If we ever plan another trip we'll definitely have a return here planned!
We were relocating to Boston a few months ago and swung through the Trophy room while checking out potential places to live. When we walked in we were greeted by a Boston Treasure, Johnny! He has been the most welcoming new friend. We frequently stop-by just to catch-up with him and share stories about our adventures. Not only is the Trophy Room a staple of the community but Johnny and the rest of the crew are pillars of the neighborhood.

Trophy Room was the first place me and my partner visited after moving to Boston and John welcomed us with open arms. Now we come every so often just to chat with John and enjoy the fantastic cocktails he makes. Definitely a must visit in Back Bay, especially when Jhon is behind the bar.
We stayed in the hotel this bar/ restaurant is part of. It was very apparent they have a good following of locals who visit this location so we definitely...
One of my favorite neighborhood spots! They have great drink specials and even better pizzas. Carlos the manager was incredibly friendly and Johnny our waiter and bartender took such great care of our large group. If you haven’t been to Trophy yet go!
Went here for post-birthday drinks and felt really taken care of. All our drinks were great and delivered quickly and the birthday brownie was delicious. Would recommend and will be back soon! 😊🥳
Carlos is amazing and went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. We are from St Louis and he made sure to tell us what to visit and where to go. He was so welcoming and personable. We will definitely recommend Trophy Room to all our friends and family when they visit Boston.
Came into the Trophy room for a drink and was greeted by a great (and very attractive) bartender. Going out alone in a strange city can be a bit awkward but he made me feel very welcome. A great place to go for a drink. Thanks!
Wonderful chill gay bar experience on a Sunday afternoon— (brunch til 8pm! Now thats gay friendly). Carlos gave excellent service and had an enviably fashionable pink shirt.
I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 15 years and this is the best staff and menu it has ever been. I love the brunch and bloody marys and my friend and I meet during the week for cocktails and nachos! John, one of the bartenders, is amazing. His personality and work ethic keep me coming back. What a joy!
Great drinks, great atmosphere, but especially—great people!!! Jonny is a truly great bartender, and he also makes all of his guests feel like they’re just having drinks with a friend. I highly recommend this place!
The service was absolutely perfect. The beers were fresh and cold. We loved the spicy chicken sandwich. The fries were delicious and plentiful. Everyone...

I like this location. However, since it reopened post pandemic, it's a lively scene. Great cocktails, food is tasty. Alternative RuPaul viewings in case you can't or won't go to Club Cafe viewing party. My favorite is still their signature cocktail: The Trophy Wife (passion fruit and vodka based cocktail). Swap the vodka for medium or high grade tequila = 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💯
I've been coming here since the old days, and during transition to now - for me this place will always be great because location location location + a...
This is a beautimous place to eat and socialize. The drinks were ample and tasty and the food was delicious. Our server Frank was very good - efficient and...
I visited the Trophy Room with a friend following a recommendation and was definitely not disappointed!! Although it was a very busy Thursday evening, the service we received was fantastic! Our bartender John was quick to suggest great cocktails - we had the Shade which was delicious and well made, as well as a glass of the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with our meal. The atmosphere in the bar was so good that we ended up having starters and salads as well! The pineapple wings were very tasty and the Harvest and Wedge salads were served quickly. Please pass on our thanks to John as well as the kitchen staff for great drinks, delicious food and an overall lovely experience in a beautiful environment! A definite highlight of our visit to Boston!
Stumbled upon this place on OpenTable, and I highly recommend! We got the fig pizza & pork sliders. Both were delicious. The cocktails were top notch. I loved mine called “Trophy Wife”! There is such a cool vibe in the restaurant. Will definitely be coming back, especially for the drinks!
Had a great dinner with my wife at a nice restaurant. The service was top notch and The food was great. We sat at the bar away from the bar which was perfect for two. The restaurant is LGBTQ friendly and has a nice atmosphere. Glad we stopped in and I would recommend it.
It’s kind of a bummer what this place has become. Still great bartenders, a good group of customers. But whoever is making the bigger decisions is really out of sync. Was there tonight and there were probably 50 to 60 people there, lights came up at around 11:30 for closing. I don’t know what they’re expecting in terms of numbers to be able to keep the place open, but it makes you not want to come back when the night is interrupted at that point (and there’s a gigantic line at club Café). This location’s history helps it draw a much more authentic and down to earth crowd but the lack of dependability makes it difficult to support. Still hopefulthey can turn it around!
We just got in Boston. We were hungry and tired. I ordered New England Clam Chowder soup, 1 bistro burger, B.B.Q. pork sliders, 1 wedge salad and 2 bottle of wine. Everything was just perfect.
Spent last weekend at the adjacent Staypineapple with friends. Had an amazing time on Saturday night and then on Sunday afternoon for the Pats game with Frank the bartender at the Trophy Room. He was so knowledgeable and friendly, his drinks were top notch, and he took great care of the 6 of us in our group. Shoutout to John as well!! Food was great and all of the staff members were awesome! We will definitely be back!
We were at bar when Frank was here. I ordered a chocolate martini. He ended up sending someone out to get an ingredient that they didn't carry. Talked...
Interesting place. The food was passable, not awful not amazing. Where it really shined was the drinks. Nice cocktail menu and they make an excellent Vesper of James Bond fame. Very odd ambiance, the room is very long and thin like a galley which makes sitting at tables awkward... The person sitting on the outside of a table gets bumped a lot by passing traffic. If you can, sit at the bar. Worth a visit!
I was in town for a couple of days and staying in the area. I don't usually write reviews but after subpar service literally across America post-covid (and by no true fault of the establishments, everywhere is just running on a fraction of the manpower), this place got it right. Rocco is a gem and the other guys behind the bar are stellar as well. Full introductions and aware of when your drink was getting low- what it SHOULD be in a bar. I will absolutely return and recommend this place to anyone. Inclusive, fun, and just a great way to spend a Thursday evening.
Okay so this place is a great place to grab drinks but the food is very mediocre. We went on the drag queen night and we honestly had a blast. My husband...
