We have been the sauna for gay and bisexual men in Vienna since 1989, not far from the city center and in the immediate vicinity of the Westbahnhof and the Stadthalle. Located on subway line 6, the Apollo Sauna has been a house with tradition for many decades.

Guys, bears and even young men appreciate our hospitality and the special atmosphere to escape from everyday life for a few hours, to easily meet new people at our bar or in the sauna and cruising area or to meet up with friends for relaxing hours. You can sweat together in the Apollo sauna, refresh yourself in the cold swimming pool and celebrate life at the bar with lounge area.

Loved this place. It's older with an older crowd but the sauna is really hot. very welcoming clients and hosts. It's like a 'Cheers' lounge.

I really want to give these guys a good review for kind welcome and hard work of the staff. Before visiting it, you have to understand that the sauna is very old and everything about it is from 80s. Interior, design, and apparently people. It's a place for socializing on the first hand. I have noticed that most of the visitors ( very few on Christmas Eve of around 10) knew each other, and preferred to cat at the bar 🍻 with a beer and I saulte that. Obviously no cruising scene but more of a meeting people and regulars .

This is a sauna for people who've given up on life. It's giving hospice-for-the-terminally-ill vibes, not wellness.

Sauna with a pool, there weren't any people when we were there, but the staff was great, helpful, very nice. Sauna was hot, steam room too, pool had temperature around 20 Celsius. Nice bar and friendly chat. But as I said not so many people when we were there. Thank you for having us.

This is not a place for everybody.The -I assume- owners, are polite and friendly, the feeling in the bar is that it's a place for "insiders", I think the patrons know each other well.The crowd is on the -way- older or beary side. So if that is not your thing, this is not the place for you.I know very few gay saunas where the sauna is really a reason to go, this is not one of them.Nevertheless, I've met a couple of hot guys there and had some reasonable fun.

Let’s start with the good: the finish Sauna is hot and big. The Rest was a poor experience - We have been there Saturday around 11 pm. The Place is old, uncozy and a major turn off. There was one guy in the sauna and the rest was sitting dressed at the bar. The whole venue smells from smokers cigarettes. This place felt like dead. and overpriced of what you get.

I was there regularly during 3 weeks. Always the 3 same guys sitting at the bar, not even undressed. Sauna empty. Almost dead. Rather a social club for a handful of locals.

I was in Apollo city sauna on Sunday and it was just 4 people there. It's dirty and water in swimming pool is cold. Don't waste your time and money. I don't understand why the entrance cost 16€.
