It’s a pretty ok space, but they started adding this smoke that smells bad and makes it impossible to see anything. The one advantage of Cru over other bars like this in Lisbon is that it used to be well lit. Now it’s dark and smoky. For me, it’s a move in the wrong direction. Lisbon doesn’t need another too-dark dark room. Staff are nice, crowd was good, and everything else was fine.Hudson Caponi

I definitely have to say great things about this place. As a foreigner I was very nervous to go and afraid to not get interactions or to be isolated. However it was the totally opposite! Everyone is always very friendly! Antonio and the other fella at the bar are just great folks, constantly smiling and entertaining the guests with great talks. The place is perfect especially for the size. Isn’t spacious but think: this is the best experience we can get as a gay person. Once inside, due to the low light you will get very excited very easily. It was so great that I had to return again a week after! I met people from various nationalities! The environment is so cool that I felt 100% relaxed. I have to mention that they have Jameson, as an irish whiskey lover I enjoyed every single shot. Portuguese people are also very friendly and they are ready for action all the time. They also have an small store and you can buy some enhancements if you wish. Is exactly the kind of environment that makes me feel at my place, free, not afraid of boundaries. You can play alone but definitely is the place to get interaction on all angles, if you get the picture! I would recommend everyone. Personally and after my second visit I would say that the negative feedback while reading those reviews are not in line with the great experience you get when you’re there. There are other bigger places in Lisbon, but definitely is way better when everyone are close to everyone and this place offers that. Wish to visit more often when Im back to Lisbon and I am already recommending to all of my friends from Ireland!Andy Rodrigues

What you see is what you get!I think it is a great place to play (publically as it is, indeed, small). But that is what they state online so there cannot be any misunderstanding about what to expect. Honestly, I got more than I anticipated as the doorman/barman is social, friendly, helpful and professional.The (local) guys that were present are kind, social and up for a good time.Likely as of it's size there is something very personal about it; there is nowhere to hide, so to say, and the bar certainly lives up to it's expectations.The reviews may be all over the place: I can only share my sincerely positive experience @bar cru.Simply go and join in!Jake A

Great little place. I like the concept of this establishment, cozy safe space for everyone. Half of it is a bar area and other half is for cruising/fun. Met a lot of cool people here, visitors and locals. You can also re-enter for free. I came here 3 times. Here are some useful info:Saturday - 6pm: ~6-8 people, 11pm: ~30-40 people, 3am: ~10 people. Age ranged from 20 to 60, around 60/40 local/tourist ratio;Sunday - 8pm: ~8-10 people, 12am: ~20 people, 2am: ~10 people. Age ranged from 25 to 55, around 75/25 local/tourist ratio;Monday - 5pm: ~5-6 people, 11pm: ~8-10 people. Age ranged from 30 to 60, around 80/20 local/tourist ratio.Overall very good value. Small space kind of makes everyone mingle whether just casual talk or casual fun.Hayden Hess

Bar Cru was disappointing. Highly possible that we went on the wrong day, it was a Tuesday evening. No one was there, but not only that, the place is so small it wouldn’t be able to fit many people anyway. Drinks were decent, bartenders were nice, the space itself was just ok.Christian H.

I had an amazing time here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Its a small place. Most nights are clothing optional [with lockers] so check the rules before you get your heart set on going.Peter

Hi,I was last Tuesday in the club for the first time. It was surprisingly a good experience but older only 😢. I am into younger. However it was a nice atmosphere.Nevertheless, the bartender was a gorgeus young boy and I tried to get him interested but he was correct according to club rules and regulations, not entertaining guests.Tonight, Sunday, it's naked theme and I will join and hope to find younger. Any special time when most actions?Perhaps an answer before evening.//peter
