Bull Bar Berlin is a bold and unapologetic hotspot in the heart of Berlin's vibrant gay scene. Located at Kleiststraße 35, just a stone's throw from the Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn station, this small yet intense bar embodies the city's infamous ethos of freedom and indulgence. Open 24/7, Bull Bar caters to a diverse crowd seeking adventure and connection in an environment that prioritizes authenticity over aesthetics .
The venue's unassuming entrance leads into a realm where the conventional boundaries of social interaction are redefined. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by a coat check, setting the tone for an establishment where one can be as exposed or as guarded as desired. This flexibility in dress code, allowing patrons to wear anything from full attire to minimal coverage, underscores the bar's inclusive and liberating atmosphere .
The interior is deliberately basic, featuring heavy bar stools and a large metal bench, emphasizing that Bull Bar is more about the experience than luxury comforts. The decor may strike some as tacky, with a large Bull and slot machines adorning the space, yet it adds to the charm and raw appeal of the venue .
What truly sets Bull Bar apart is its vast darkroom, a space designed for anonymity and exploration. The darkroom is divided into two main areas, each offering different levels of intimacy and interaction. It's a place where consent and desire dictate the pace, making it a haven for those looking to immerse themselves in Berlin's notorious nightlife .
Bull Bar is not for the faint of heart. It's a destination where the gritty reality of Berlin's underground scene can be experienced first-hand. From the mix of international and local patrons to the no-holds-barred approach to sexual freedom, it embodies the essence of what many seek in Berlin's gay nightlife.
For visitors seeking an unfiltered taste of Berlin's gay scene, Bull Bar Berlin offers an unforgettable experience. It's a testament to the city's enduring spirit of liberation and a reminder of the diverse forms of connection that thrive within its borders. Whether you're a local or a tourist, Bull Bar promises an adventure into the depths of desire and freedom, encapsulating the raw, unbridled energy that Berlin is celebrated for worldwide.
Crowd is very diverse and down to earth. Crew are friendly (and cute lol) and speak English and on busy times they constantly go around and clean or attend which is rare in Berlin! Seen the owner/manager also work alongside the team and tend the bar even… the music maybe could be a little bit louder in the back area. overall I had a pleasant and very fun time after several visits and will go back.
five stars goes to staff still trying to keep it somehow clean despite 24/7 regime. For sure they have to filter better on entrance to avoid different cases.Good luck
Friendly bar staff . Popped into here very quickly before heading for a meal had a becks (Bottle) ( change of timings ) not used to the smoking inside venues being a Brit . Left smelling of smoke and I’m not even a smoker . Guessing the venue is an older clientele . I don’t class myself as young anymore but felt very young
It's the best. Super friendly English speaking staff. One can pay with a card. One can smoke inside. Super relaxed, sleazy, nonjudgmental place. Every time I come to Berlin, I come for some beers and whatever comes along 😈
I would like this bar, but they allow smoking inside and there were a bunch of chain smokers in there. I had a decent time but realised when I got home that I had been transported back to the 90s and I smelled disgusting and my clothes and hair smelled disgusting. With other decent non-Smoking (inside) bars in the area, I see no reason to ever go back to this dive.
Horrible place bartender hates English speaking customers got mad because an asked for a lemon a pretended he didn’t know what it was. Then told me I thought I was all that and called me curse words in German not realizing I am half German half black. Racist bartender tall bald white guy with piercing.
Amazing experience, really friendly bar staff, I speak English only and they were really helpful. Great back room, gets really lively from after midnight and really good music. Drinks also really reasonable. First time in such a kind of place and will definitely be going back next year!
It is a really nice bar with darkrooms, where lots of action taking place. The bartenders are always friendly, and it is also understandable when there are so many customers, they just have to move on from one to the next without chitchat. Those who complains about the bartenders or other things would probably complain about anything and everything. All in all, bull is the must have experience in Berlin.
I went to this bar for the first time as a visitor and the truth is that I had to leave because of the rudeness of the person in charge of the bar (waiter). I only went to order 2 redbulls and he started speaking to me in German. I told him Please in English and he started saying rude things to me for no reason just because I didn't speak German. A lack of respect and rudeness that leaves a lot to be desired from this bar. What I don't even know is how the owner would leave a person like that in charge of the bar. Rude, disrespectful, lacking empathy... in short, a 0.
Very popular place because we have to wait on the line in front of the entrance. Standard bar and cruising area are available. Cloakroom is necessary. Pay for it also.
What a great club! There's everything you could wish for. Great music, great drinks and, of course, incredibly sexy guys. It's just great fun there and will definitely be a must-have on my next visit to Berlin.
Mixed bag. Small but cosy venue with big cruising room. Becomes very busy, very quickly. What is totally bizarre, smoking is allowed inside everywhere, in small place it becomes unbearable very quickly. Second thing it is cash only. Yes, we are taking about XXI century, 2024,cash only. Just imagine being half naked, in dark bar and look around for some change, coins and trying to make a payment. In any normal place you just touch with your watch or phone, go. Normally I would buy how many drinks and enjoy my time, on this occasion I couldn't spend even 1 euro. Really weird business approach.
A cool vibe bar - bartender sassy but in a good way! The place was quiet on Monday afternoon but it's totally fine. No cover charge in the afternoon but a super cool place.
This is one of the worst places in Berlin! Owner is extremely rude and not friendly. I have asked to charge my phone and it came down to like I was asking for drugs! Very unfriendly. Very unacceptive for foreigners. I honestly would leave 0 if it was possible!!!! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE FOREIGNER!!!!
Visited twice on a Friday and Saturday night. Friday 15th March after about 11pm, the two bar men where very friendly, chatty and attentive providing us with some tips on where to go and what to see. Strangely enough the following night, Saturday 16th March, it was two different barmen who where the polar opposite, indifferent, moody and not overly interested in serving! Not sure why such a contrast in staff as it was just as busy and hectic both nights! The venue is what I would expect of a crusing type bar, dark, atmospheric and nice and busy, even at 7am in the morning when we left it was still packed!Cloakroom on entry for 1.50€, takes the worry away from leaving your items unattended. Bar area with seating, two gaming machines, TVs showing x-movies and a well stocked and reasonably priced bar.Next room is a semi dark seating and chilling area. The next room is the main crusing area, nice and dark with plenty of seating areas, a couple of slings and other areas to have fun. The WC is in this area.Lots of fun, a variety of ages, ethnicities, nationalities & body types. Would definitely pay another visit when in Berlin.
So disappointed last night (Saturday 23rd March) to see a Female employee behind the bar, this really took away the meaning of the bar for me, so I had my one drink & then left the bar. This bar is supposed to be men only, I would have presumed this extended to those that work there in the bar also. I don't want a woman watching me naked and playing, only men.
I don't know how is it allowed but literally everybody is completely drugged and taking drugs openly, nobody caresThe place is disgusting, very dirty and stinks. People are smoking everywhere and after 15 min in the bar I was also stinking, the ventilation doesn't exist there. Not recommended!
I came here after it being recommended to me from a friend of mine, but I have to say I was disappointed. The bar area wasn't cruisy at all, which was a real shame as the whole bar could have a great vibe. As a suggestion, you shouldn't have Female bar staff in a gay men's cruising bar, it totally kills the vibe you and your customers are looking for. Also, provide lockers perhaps...guys like to strip off in a bar like this.

The best bar for cruising in town. And maybe you dont know it, has an Story of more than 100 years. This place has been a gathering for sex and freedom since 1921. still keep the real Berlín vibe. You want to know how wild Berlin was? Come to BULL.
After all of the night club rejection in Berlin, this was my safe haven. This is a club that actually values freedom, acceptance, and diversity. The backroom is a great extension. Easily my favorite place to get a drink in Berlin at all hours of the day.
Larger dark room. Lots of men came late. No cover, no minimum, you only must check bags 1.5€. A place to wash up, toilets a little dodgy. Great fun if your into anonymous sex.
Bull bar is definitely the best gay bar in town. Cultural heritage I would say. Everybody can have great time here. Super laid back and liberated atmosphere. Staff members are amazing. I've never come across any rudeness as other reviews claim and I have seen all of them since I visit the place every time I am in Berlin. They work 24/7 and put A LOT OF effort to make us feel comfortable. Please respect that. Leave your attitude at home and be a decent human being thats all they ask for. Yes you need to buy a drink. Common sense :)) Entry is free. This is how they survive and function.
I can't wait for the answer of the owner of this bar , because everytime he have a bad review , he can't take nagative reviews apparently , we see directly with who you deal , someone who cant manage a good customers service, everything go wrong in this bar from the entry to the darkroom , women who are allowed inside , when they are a big darkroom, not sure the best idea and I'm not sexist, the lighting are so bad , the weirdest , disgusting I saw in my life ,I think you must to be really high on Dr*GS for understand the concept of this bar, because some people are so high inside. And it's impossible to clean a bar properly, if the bar is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at least close the bar for 1 hour to do a thorough cleaning, which means that the bar is never really cleaned properly and it shows, it's absolutely disgusting and it stinks.
I visit Berlin twice a year. The Bull bar is my favourite gay bar in Berlin and I have been a customer since 2006. I have never seen any of the staff being rude, always good service. And if you don't know any German, the staff do speak English.I meet interesting people to talk to and have had great fun thereGreat sexy atmosphere and sexual fun in the darkroom.Leave all your valuables in the cloakroom or your telephones behind the bar and there will no trouble with pickpockets. If you enjoy fun, the Bull bar is the place to visit. See you again in December! Billy
So much fun! This relatively small cruising bar has big energy, friendly vibes, and a charm all its own. Offering more open-minded cruising than Lab.oratory...
Went in and a guy said I have to pay for a drink before getting in, supposedly you have to pay entrance in all other places, as I ordered a drink and put...
