In NYC where there is so much tourism, the security doesn’t know how to read the date in a Cuban ID, which I get, he doesnt have to know it but he can always learn and not just banned us and almost throw me and my friend to the street. This place is an excellent homage to the old new york bars: great variety shows, from live piano to burlesque, and reasonably priced drinks. My only reason not to give it five stars is that Club Cummins features the slowest bartender I have ever experienced; this kid can only make and charge one drink at a time, making the experience of buying a simple beer a test of patience.Michael Macgillivray

As a queer man, this place is legendary. I brought some friends here from out of town to show them a good time. We had a blast, and decided to stick around for stand up comedy. After two sets, we were participating and laughing along. Randomly, the Maneger decided we were no good. Judging us on our haircuts and clothes we wear. We got ejected and ridiculed by the comedian called us “duck dynasty in-bread motherfuckers”. The bartender was totally baffled. I will never return. I went on a Tuesday I believe and it was a very nice experience. There was a jazz band playing wonderful music. I loved the low key local feel as I had bumped into this place it was the best discovery ever. I will be going back.rosana degroa

The location itself is great but the doorman seemed really confused regarding their own policies. The doorman said that there was no more entry tonight but a group without a reservation was allowed to go in right after us. Then 15 minutes later we were also allowed to enter. It does not really make any sense.Hap P.

A bartender named MATT yelled at my friend and I "UNACCEPTABLE!" loud enough so that everyone in the bar could hear him because he upset that we did not tip him for TWO beers! Classy place, trashy bartender! HE RUINED MY NIGHT AND LEFT A BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH ABOUT THIS PLACE!Wendy W.

Don’t come here if you aren’t prepared to get scammed! Drag queen at the entrance made us tip her at the door and didn’t perform. DJ had horrible energy and stopped the music to yell at us to leave for requesting a song. The bar is clearly after a certain demographic and will chase away anyone who looks feminine.Chadd C.

LOVE this place. Came to see a friend perform and it was excellent. Paul Shaffer band leader of the David letterman show was also present. And just before we got here, Michael Musto had a knitting show there.
