Exit Café, on Reguliersdwarsstraat, is a small popular dance bar in a prime location for those looking to dance the night away. The café is beloved for its eclectic mix of pop, house, and traditional music that keeps the energy high and the dance floor packed.
Not just a place for dancing, Exit Café offers a unique experience with its "Apres Chique" theme, where patrons can sing along to their favorite tunes into the late hours. This adds a personal touch to the night, making it memorable for anyone who walks through its doors.
For those visiting Amsterdam, or locals looking for a refreshing night out, Exit Café is a must-visit destination on the city's gay street, promising an unforgettable night of music, dance, and community spirit.
Last night I went out for fresh air with my partner and when I wanted to go back in, the bouncer told me I looked like I was on something even when I weren't and kept saying that he could see it in my eyes (no wonder you have dotty eyes when you drinking omg) and didn't allow me back inside.I thought it was very disrespectful because I was being chill and wasn't causing a scene, and when I asked if I could at least go back in and get my jacket, he said I couldn't. Totally absurd. At least management were very professional next day handing my jacket over.
I don't want such insensitive people to make money!!! 🤮🤮the security at the door was really rude, he didn't let us in, he asked if we were coming for the first time and didn't let us in, unfortunately this was the only the bad moment in Amsterdam where we came for a touristic trip, (by the way the place was also empty!!!)
I had the best experience, the music the vibe were spot on but the best part of the night was 1 specific gorgeous staff member that had glasses and a silly t-shirt. Honestly his beautiful smile and positive demeanor were absolutely addictive. And definitely deserving of a raise.
We waited for 1 hour in the line and they didnt let us in saying that our group was too big but we know that it is because they are TRANSPHOBİC and they basically didn’t want to let us in. Such a pity for a club that is known as queer. Lol. It is not.
Tonight security guy is amazing, but I don't know who's was staying with him at the entrance table, but girl was a high level unpolite. And about the menu: its doesn't matter what is write there, you will pay for drinks so much how the barman will decide. Personally payed 6,50 for a beer for 5.00.Update 28.08.2024Giving another chance to this place and definitely would never came back.
Does anyone from Google have the time to read Wats really happening in places like Exit bar, is there somebody to control hate and racism???? seriously WHY NOBODY CARES AND SOPOURT AND LET THIS RACIST ENERGY HAPPEN IN 2024, or are we just going backwards i am not aloud by Google to Share my hole experience here, but they are aloud to make it happen and real time real life, this is never gayfriendly place, more of a racist club, i just take the time to read those other rewieus down here and is sick and disgusting place, i truly regreet and feel free to express wat a horrible place and i Will never recomended to anyone, after wat happen to me Last night there, and i did just tell them i Will write a review about it, couse wat ese in law i can do?????? and they even laugh on my face, is sick that People from NL in NL is been treated in this way, Shame on You People racist from exit Bar.
The bouncers are extremly rude and unfriendly. I went outside to help a friend. When I wanted to go back inside I was denied because I was "too drunk". When multiple other guests vouched for me. They started to make up other reassons to not let me in. Meanwhile they let another (white)guy who could barely stand on his legs enter without any problems. I'm not easly offended but his time felled discriminated beacuse the colour of my skin. It's a shame beause the bar itself is quite nice.

EDIT: removed one star. Saw staff being overly aggressive to seemingly harmless individuals. Could have been a bad night but some of the bartenders were a bit, over it? Mixed vibes, take what you will. —- Seriously cool “bar”! Sunday night and there are 4 stories and 3 stages of dancing, multiple bars on each floor, lockers for €2, and best of all? NO COVER. Spent €30 on cover fees at two other “clubs” that were basically bars with strobe lights. This is the best club for sure!
I have a medical condition (multiple sclerosis). The door has told me three times that I ‘look too drunk to enter’. I only display that in my balance, which I explain is MS. This is no 1990. Don’t go here until this changes
Always a good time at Exit. Completely unpretentious and easy-going. Love to go when I wanna get dancing but without the pretense of going to a proper club. Expect gay-friendly pop jams and bangers.
I really liked the clubAlthough the smoke feels too much, as it covers up the whole place. I would much rather have a place that gets smoked and a non smoked one(Just making sure - not smoke of cigarettes, just the kind that you throw at parties, the cool one)Anyways cool dj cool music nice bartendersReally liked the entrance and guards
Super dope place where I finally felt the energy of the city. The choice of music was really iconic as I didn't have any single minute to rest from dancing and screaming. The bartenders were super nice and were driving the crowd with their vigour. Be ready that the place will kinda be overcrowded and you will be dancing shoulder-to-shoilder with someone but it definitely has their advantages as you will feel like being a part of community.Safe and super enjoyable location overall that I would recommend my fellow queer people!
