Fincken, located at Nygårdsgaten 2A in Bergen, is the city's only dedicated queer bar and has been a staple of the LGBTQ+ community since opening in 1992. Known for its inclusive, welcoming vibe, this bar isn’t just a spot to grab a drink—it’s a second home for many. Fincken boasts a laid-back bar on the ground floor, while upstairs you’ll find a dance floor where themed nights like reggae or diva parties keep the energy alive.
The venue is all about breaking down boundaries. Whether you’re in full glam or keeping it casual, Fincken doesn’t care who you love or how you dance. It’s about celebrating diversity and just having a great night out. You'll also be greeted by the quirky decor, including its infamous reindeer head that adds to its unique charm.
With affordable prices and friendly bartenders, it's the go-to spot for both locals and travelers. If you're in town for Bergen Pride, the place really comes to life, embodying the spirit of love and acceptance. Whether you’re dancing the night away or chilling with friends, Fincken is a must-visit on Bergen’s LGBTQ+ scene.
The one and only gay bar of Bergen. Not bad. Not too pricey. The downstairs is cozy and quaint. The upstairs is mostly Latin dance tunes. Wish they did more 80s and 90s nights. All in all it’s fine. Solid 3 stars.
