Find the bouncers are Aggressive Neanderthal types not a good fit for a GAY bar I suppose it's to much to ask to expect civilised decent human beings as door staff?Try vetting you're door staff just because you are managing the door does not mean you have to be a GRUNT!
Came for pride. Queued for over an hour just for them to allow a massive group of straight people in ahead of a queue of queer people. These people did not have tickets, as was confirmed by a lady on the door. When I asked her about this, she told me they were friends of a DJ at the club. I asked her whether she would like it if she felt discriminated against in a place that was supposed to be a safe space. She didn’t like this and reported me to a nearby bouncer who asked me to apologise, which I did without hesitation as I don’t set out to hurt people, but did not feel that the way we had been treated was fair. Don’t allow these homophobes to take your money. There was also a queer POC wearing a dress, who was jeered at by all of the bouncers on the door. In a place that’s supposed to be a safe space for queer people, this kind of behaviour is unacceptable, and we should not stand for this.If you like racism or homophobia, this is the place for you.EDIT: you can make your own judgement based on the way this place responds to low reviews. Unprofessional doesn’t even begin to describe it.

Absolutely love the Gbar, I always go downstairs as I prefer the music in the basement (house/tech house), where as upstairs the music is more chart music. Always a good atmosphere here, have never seen any trouble and people are lovely, including staff. Drinks are a decent price too and it stays open til the early hours, so ideal for when other clubs close and you don't want to go home yet!. Security are sound too and I've never had any problems there.
Great little placeEntrance fee £6.00Open till 7 morning on SaturdayGood music. Not too cheap not too expensive. The free cocktail is not really free! You have to buy a drink in order to get your other drink for free. But it is ok ..great fun and great atmosphere!
A fantastic night. It has been 15 years since I last visited here and unfortunately for me, although the age profile of customers hasn't really changed, I am now above that profile! That said, all of the rooms were available to dance in or just relax which meant that it didn't feel as crowded as it once did here. I felt very safe dancing in here and being able to see around me clearly without being shoulder to shoulder made for a very pleasant experience
Gbar is a perfect club for you to enjoy different types of music playing in different parts of the club. Great stuff, nice people, good vibe. I highly recommend the club.
Gbar is one of the best clubs in Liverpool by far. It’s cheap, clean, vibrant and the atmosphere is just wonderful. The staff are so lovely and an absolute credit to the venue, and Minnie and Violet are just spectacular! Love it.
She’s an old girl, that keeps spinning new tricks! Deffo one of the best gay clubs in Liverpool - and the country! 🏳️🌈😂👌Music, Staff, DJs and atmosphere here are class! 👌
First time here. Friendly door men guided us to the nearest cash machine so we could pay the entrance fee in cash..once inside the atmosphere was great we spoke to so many friendly men. I will certainly be back when having a night out again
Really shocked at the bouncer today who on checking on the attendance of myself and two girls I was with that they passed the change onto the girl who first went in, I was very polite, but the attitude of the gent was astonishing and he said I was accusing him of stealing which I genuinely only asked if the change had been given. Discusting behaviour and I do not recommend this place (the other helpers were kind enough) however this gentleman does not deserve his job if this is how he treats individuals who enter as it was simply discusting. After I said I was just checking as I was looking after the two ladies, he responded with “ oh go in and just look after those ladies”. I had nothing against him and the reaction was out of line as I just wanted to know if the change had been transferred. Very sad, immature and unprofessional.
I was disgusted in the treatment me and my friends received here from the DJ Ant Armstrong. I am shocked a club of such establishment would condone harassment of young women. He throw items at us from the DJ booth and then seeing me take photos of the club (which there is no rules against) came onto the dance floor without me noticing and snatched my phone out of my hand. He then proceeded to walk away with it taking it into his booth lifting it high above my reach and started to delete videos from my phone. I have never felt so unsafe and vulnerable in a club to which lead to me and my friends leaving which was a shame as before this we were having the best night for my birthday with Violet in the other room!
One of my dear gay friends was desperate to visit this bar on a night out in Liverpool. We headed there shortly after it was open and it was a lot of fun...
I'd be complete hypocrite to completely write this place off but while I have my wits about me and in a sane and sober state I can confidently say this...
Entering a gay bar as a heterosexual person can be an intimidating experience simply because you are entering into a world which is outside of your normal...
Though Garlands is right up there in terms of greatness, I would say G-Bar is Liverpool's number 1 gay venue. It has become increasingly popular, especially...
