This place is FOR SMOKERS ONLY. The ceiling is very low and there is no ventilation so there is no way non smokers can tolerate that. It was impossible to get to the bar let alone get a drink. They should definitely remove seats and tables or control the number of people getting in. There was nowhere to put our coats anyway. Completely deaf people will also enjoy this place.Mike

It’s a great place! The staff is great, price are cheap, and the place looks amazing, loved the vibe! Also, smoking inside is a big plus! Note to other commenters, mane of a new generation do love to smoke 💕Mikołaj Woźniak

I do not recommend this club. They clearly overcharge unsuspecting tourists for drinks, while loyal/regular guests get completely different (lower) prices. It’s a shame that an LGBT club runs such a discriminatory pricing policy. I recommend partying elsewhere – this is plain theft, not hospitality.Daniel Shaw

An army of rude waiters all laughing and joking with each other, who then turn to you bereft of all humour (or even human courtesy) to take your order. Everything was too much trouble, made us feel surplus to requirements, as if they were only there to socialise with each other. Fortunately we met a cool crowd and together we found somewhere better. Horrendous experience! They refused to serve me because I requested a none alcoholic drink. I asked for literally anything so I can have a drink and a chat with my friend who got a cocktail but they refused to serve me anything even though I was literally looking at the coke and sprite cans in front of me. A really bad and rude experience so I'm definitely never coming back since I don't drink alcohol, ergo i can can't be served in this homosexual establishment!Kinto Chen

Popped in here twice - both times experience distinct difference . 1st time full of smoke so left immediately because my friend couldn’t handle it - second time went on my own - don’t do any wine by the glass. All ok .. but no care indicated and that’s a shame it looks a lovely venue.nicolas carboulec

The furnishings and decor are nice, but service was below average with the waiters just awkwardly standing around, I waited 20 minutes trying to get their attention to get another drink, so I just asked for the cheque instead and left.Smoking is an issue, one person wants to smoke, all of us have to 'enjoy' it with them, making your clothes smell too.Stephen Kucera

Fabulous location close to the Old Quarter on a relatively quieter side street. Location is probably the bar’s best sell. Went on a weekend, and place was incredibly full even early in the evening with limited ability to move around or interact. Incredibly loud. Tables are for reservations only on the weekend. Staff are harried by the number of orders they are trying to fulfill.A A

We went about 9:30pm on a Saturday and watched it fill up. Great vibe, good service. Not sure why people say it’s not gay. It’s 100% gay. Lots of locals which is great. We met a few people and had a fun night. Recommended.Andreas Ropertz

What an amazing venue ! In these crazy times every single gay venue and their organizers needs to be supported 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈especially in Hanoi❤️We had a nice time there , sipping cocktails and beer and watching handsome guys of all ages! The music was quite nice even performed by a DJ later.Service was ok but not over motivated . The entire Ambiente was nice . Toilets had been well maintained.BUT: A CLEAR NO GO: smoking is allowed there in the entire facility. I was so surprised and nearly shocked that this is allowed ! That was such a negative flashback in the 90‘s . My clothes smelled from cigarettes smoke when I returned home to my hotel.To be honest: this is not only outdated and could be solved for even smoker’s satisfaction with options to smoke outside, it’s also disgusting for non smokers. not sure why there were so many hates and bad reviews towards this bar? i went here last night with my gay friends and we had a blast. staff were friendly and attentive. music was cool! the drink were all perfect , a bit too strong lol but i wont complain 😂 will definitely come back if i visit Hanoi again.O D

We went twice to Bar GC (seems to be the only gay bar in Hanoi), once on Friday night and once on Sunday night. Cocktails are around 120k - 150k each (a little bit pricey for Vietnam, but 5-6 USD for a decent cocktail isn’t bad at all).On Friday, it’s was quite busy. Service was fast and friendly, and the cocktails tasted great. Many reviews mentioned unpleasant staff - I didn’t find this at all. The bar staff were chatty and joking with the customers. A mix of foreigners and locals, with plenty of handsome, friendly guys! Atmosphere was lively - not too much room to dance, but you could make space.On Sunday it was much quieter, but still a nice atmosphere - more of a speak easy, sit and chat kind of vibe (I appreciated that they adjusted the music accordingly). A nice gay bar by any standards!
