A great, lively, friendly venue for the LGBT community

About
Halfway to Heaven is this fab gay bar in London, tucked away near Charing Cross. It's like a little gem for the LGBTQIA+ crowd, and it's been rocking for over 30 years. Imagine a place where you can kick back with a drink without emptying your wallet - that's the vibe upstairs.
But hey, it's not just about the drinks. This place is buzzing with all sorts of events. Think cabaret, drag shows, karaoke... you name it, they've got it. The CK Sunday show with Crystal d'Canter and Kelly Mild? Legendary. And it's not just a party spot. They do cool stuff for the community too, like fundraisers.
Each day of the week's got its own flavor. Mondays are all about kicking back with all-day happy hours. Tuesdays, you can expect some killer cabaret. Midweek, get ready for laughs with Miss Penny. And if you're feeling brave, hit up the Karaoke Wheel of Wonder on Thursdays. Weekends are a blast with the Saturday Night Divas and more CK Sunday action.
So, if you're looking for a spot that's got a bit of everything - good vibes, affordable drinks, killer shows, and a touch of heart - Halfway to Heaven's your go-to.
I have read the gushing positive reviews of this bar, unfortunately I can not agree with them, we met friends there Sunday at around 6.30 pm OMG I have never had such bad service, the guy behind the bar could not have more unpleasant if he tried, a smile would have been nice. I wont be returning, some people might think this attitude is funny or clever, I don't.
Half way to heaven? Half way to hell! Drag acts cannot fault. Great actually. Overall crowd awful and judgy. As a 36 gay man happily out for over 20 years I feel like this place was so oldskool in terms of behaviour it appeared to me if you were were not overtly camp or a local you were ostracised. Myself and my partner are both made to feel unwelcome and this is a couple that live in the second city not a distant fairytale wannabe
Last 4 years have called in for a couple drinks at lunch time before we go to the London palladium, which has been fun.BUT yesterday OMG!!!! the bar man was soooo miserable and rude,I thought we had Ebenezer Scrooge serving.Merry Christmas you sad man.Wont be coming back again, and will be telling friends not to as well
First time visiting London and this was our first stop for drinks and definitely wasn't the last time we visited. We went the two following days after.
I don't know if this place does food during the day. Fab traditional gay bar like what they used to be seating upstairs and downstairs. Stage down stairs with regular entertainment. Great friendly chatty atmosphere
Tried to go with my girlfriend and was denied entry. We were told that there was a queue (of only us) and that there would be no point waiting because it would take so long. We could clearly see it wasn’t too busy. Honestly so disappointed to be discriminated against by our own people. Take the flag down if it’s only some gays allowed. It was the same bouncer pictured in another recent comment who also turned away what he thought was a straight couple. In response to the reply: we watched as he allowed a man to go in after us so it was pretty obvious.
This is an interesting one... myself and my boyfriend go there whenever we are in town for a few drinks before we get the tube home from Charing Cross. Saturday 26th October, myself and my partner were with our female friend and we were walking to the pub. My partner went in front of us by about a minute as he needed the bathroom, our friend and I were holding hands as she was cold and as we approached the door the bouncer said I can't come in as I was drunk. I thought he was joking as I'd only has a few drinks and was fine but he thought I was straight with my girlfriend. I explained my bf had just gone in ahead of us and he demanded to know what he was wearing. When I told him he said it didn't matter as I was drunk. My bf then came out and he said to him he is also not allowed back in. Totally ridiculous and I felt sorry for the other bouncer who knew the other was in the wrong. Left a bitter taste in my mouth and luckily I videoed the incident. I hope this will not be an issue when we next come to the pub. We love it and it's normally a fantastic venue.
Lovely spot close to Leicester Square.Good selection of beers, nice music and good atmosphere. Not too crowded for a Friday evening. Music is kept at a very good volume and the staff is friendly. Definitely visit again in my next trip to central London.
I’ve been here a few time and always found the service and team to be amazing! The entertainment is faultless and laughs had every time! Halfway is a fantastic safe space for our community, we are lucky to have you!
I met a group of friends here prior to going to the theatre. Although it is primarily a LGBTQ bar ALL are welcome and served politely and quickly by thebar staff. The main bar is a medium sized area but there are plenty of seats and another bar downstairs. They have the usual variety of beers, ales, lagers, ciders and spirits. The drinks are reasonably priced, and I would recommend this bar for a pre-theatre or after work drinks. As a straight guy I would have no problem coming again.
Me and my friends visited halfway at the weekend and had the best time! The atmosphere was fantastic and Jay behind the bar was top tier! So friendly and welcoming, would deffo recommend for a night out 🕺🏻
Always a fun night at Halfway! It’s got that community feel. They also have some great drag acts on which always makes for a good night. The bar staff are always friendly and welcoming. On occasion have popped in alone for a quick drink and ended up staying and chatting to regulars and bar staff. Shout out to Craigerbell behind the bar and those tight jeans.
Halfway to Heaven is a fantastic LGBTQ spot in London. Popped in yesterday on my way through the area. The vibe was friendly and welcoming.Timmy, the barman, was especially awesome—super friendly and quick with service.Had an amazing time and will definitely be back!"
Halfway is definitely my go-to gay bar in Central London. I’ve only discovered it a couple of months ago but quickly became a regular. The atmosphere is great, the drag shows are really good and take place every day of the week (except Mondays I think) and the staff is so lovely.Big thanks to Adrian for suggesting where to continue our night, he knows where the good stuff’s at!
A fun friendly gay bar right in the heart of London. Great atmosphere and entertainment. Staff are all lovely and welcoming, particular shout out to Craig. Definitely worth a visit if you want good old fashioned gay time!
Me and my boyfriend had a really great evening the other week at Halfway. Special thanks to Adrian for being so friendly and attentive and connecting us to the place. The drag acts were hilarious too, would 100% recommend! Can’t wait to come back & visit! ✨
Such friendly staff and the atmosphere is always so welcoming. Big shout out to the bar staff who despite being busy still make you feel valued. Best lgbtq+ bar in London, though welcoming for anyone especially first timers. Drag was top notch as always, and overall would recommend to anyone looking for a great day/night. They don’t sell food apart from snacks but plenty of options nearby to pop out to
Friendly and unpretentious gay pub near Charing Cross station and Trafalgar Square. It serves a decent pint of London Pride. It is also noted for drag shows downstairs, but I haven't recently been to one of those.
I had a fantastic time at this gay bar! The drinks were really affordable, and the bartender, Jay (I think!), was an absolute gem. So friendly, helpful, and kind – they really made the experience. It's definitely my new favorite spot. Unlike some other gay bars, it has a wonderfully calm and welcoming atmosphere. Perfect if you're looking to relax, chat with friends, and avoid the loud music scene. I can't recommend it highly enough!
Visited frequently during our recent one week trip to London. Clientele are friendly and engaging. Staff is efficient and skilled. While we didn't attend the downstairs show, it was packed with people coming (mostly locals) for only the show. Thoroughly enjoy this place. Much better than the West End scene.
Best bar in London!Every time we go to London we end our day in H2H - The bar staff are so friendly and welcoming. The drinks are very well priced and the drag shows are probably the best I have ever seen! I will always recommend a visit if your in the area!!!
We only had a short visit here in London and wow did this pub make it an amazing time. The drag show was such a blast, bartenders were super cool, and the ambiance was immaculate. Definitely going to come back to London for longer and pop by here again. Thanks for the memories that were made.
Way back in 2003 this was the first gay pub I had been to. I was 19 and scared to death in Hull as it was a horrible place to be gay. I came to London to meet a guy that I randomly texted one number below mine.I remember it was about midday and the staff were really nice... Been a few times since obviously. I now live in London, but if there is anyone reading this, the staff have been nice there for about 21 years.Deceptively larger pub than it looks on the outside but still small. Iconic pub.
I travel for work all over the country and like to visit different LGBT bars where I can. This is the first time I have been here and my first impressions are really good. the bar staff are very very kind and helpful about mentioning different locations to visit in the local area, the entertainment is brilliant also! its a nice place to meet up with friends! I would recommend stopping by!!
If there were ten stars for atmosphere, id give it. Twice I've been here, Both times, are my favourite nights ever in London. Side splitting funny, great music, fantastic entertainment. And I'm straight !!!!
Looking for a fun night out in attitude free surroundings . Then this is the LGBTQ+ bar for you . I have had many fun evenings in this bar over the last 5 months. The bar staff are quick, efficient and friendly. The cabaret acts I have seen are cutting and sharp as you expect from proper drag queens. The whole place gets bought along for the ride with fun party games and singalongs, no one is left out of the fun.Deffo one to put on your list when visiting London .
Prompt service. Reasonable prices.Very little seating. We went in to avoid rain and wait for our train. Did not realise that it was a gay pub till we got in. Wife and I enjoyed ourselves.
I’ve been coming for over two years now, especially Sundays, and I always have the best time. Crystal and Kelly are always entertaining. Staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. And the venue always feels safe and inclusive. Thank you for welcoming me to a beautiful family week in week out 🥰
I have had some of the best nights out at Half Way. Brilliant atmosphere, amazing drag artist that have you belly laughing and dancing all night long. The staff are fabulous too! Would highly recommend a visit.
What a brilliant venue! An iconic Bar, Close to Trafalgar Square and with a lovely team that go the extra mile. Brilliantly organised days and nights and lots of great acts on top. A real must visit venue that rightly, is one of the best well-known LGTBQI venues in London. The Team there always look after us so well too, Mark, Ange and of course Heather too. It's a must visit. They do a fantastic job of running a fully inclusive space in one of the most challenging areas in London ❤️🏳️🌈
Had a fantastic night here watching #Joe and Mrs Moore, they were incredibly funny and talented and we had the best time. They put on a great show and engaged us in between the amazing songs with a good laugh. The atmosphere was friendly and the bar staff were very kind as well. Plenty of drinks and a room full of lovely people.
Absolutely fantastic venue, totally inclusive and an all round fun experience. The night we went we were entertained by the most sensational queen, woe Addams, an absolutely hilarious night and wow she has a set of pipes, the vocals were west end quality. Staff were very attentive and my glass was not empty long before I was being offered a top up (well it would be rude not to), I can’t wait to go back and visit again, if you are in the area please pop in, if you’re not in the area I would recommend you make the effort to go there. Me and my group travelled up from rural west wales just to visit (from a recommendation) and I’m so glad we did.
The staff are always hard working, never waiting more than a few mins for drinks. Heather the manager is always leading and her staff to make the establishment feel like a safe friendly and calm environment whether you go in for a drink or watch the entertainment down stairs. All the staff are always up for a laugh joke and are always happy and smiling no matter what time of day or night.
Home away from home. Very reasonably priced for central London, staff and door staff are all very friendly - very welcoming safe space.Something for everyone’s taste across the week with the cabaret acts or the perfect spot for a chilled drink upstairs!
Honestly one of the best queer spaces in all of London. It’s staff have such a warm and welcoming vibe, ensuring it always feels like home. There’s also a great range of drag/cabaret shows - including special events like the recent Bank Holiday Disney trivia quiz with Tanya Hyde and Craigerbell. A great venue for anyone looking to find a safe space to enjoy their evening.
Friendly little pub near Trafalgar Square. Visited several times as a solo traveller, but it never takes long to get chatting to someone. Always a friendly atmosphere.
lovely visit today at lunchtime, lovely cosy well priced place. nice to visit a place where feel safe; upstairs is like a normal bar, downstairs nice stage with table & chairs to relax in. Also a bar down stairs
What can I say.. As an old mum, tagging along with her son for his birthday.. I had the BEST night out for such a long time!!!Letting my hair down, dancing the night away ( told James I'd only stay for one drink!), I was made to feel so welcome. What a brilliant place and great value for money with half price doubles on a Monday night...I have the hangover from hell today, but it's worth it! What a lovely bunch you are! Can't wait to come back!Xx
Love this place!. Great bar just off trafalgar square. There's entertainment every night downstairs and it's free!! So much fun and everyone enjoys thereselves. Drinks are very reasonable for london.
Yesterday we were going for a pint with my friend, and the two guys at the door were so hostile since the beginning, when we entered the doorman started "warning" us in a very rude manner, simply because he decided to assume that my friend was drunk even though that would have been our first beer of the day, it was so weird and uncomfortable. We decided to go and spend our money somewhere else, definitely not a welcoming venue.
Five stars for the patience of the door staff on pride weekend because they got someAbuse! As always great service and great drag shows I love it everytime we come here! Such an amazing safe space for the LGBTQ+ community and always fun!
Visited here on a Saturday afternoon for the matinee drag show! What a wonderful experience to enjoy with from and plenty of drinks. If you're on your own, you will quickly make friends. The atmosphere is great, and most patrons are friendly 👌
Halfway To Heaven . Is a great place it's a friendly gay bar the staff are all ways smiling and very helpful if you have a disability. The building is not fully accessible but that's knot there faultI would Recommend this venue to anyoneAnd working there as a drag act thay have given me the opportunity to shine thank you to the managersHeather has made this venue great and the team around her is fantastic Justin King and Justin swift are fantastic peopleYes it gets busy but that's what you needThank you we need more disabled acts on stonegate stages and one thing I can say Halfway have done that for sure if there was a award thay need goldYour sincerely Mr Wayne Arlingham aka sugar cube
I understand being in your 50s and working behind a bar isn't anybody's dream in life but the bald guy with the cow nose piercing has the most miserable face I've ever seen in my life. He was incredibly rude from when we ordered at the bar to when he shouted at my friend for moving a chair. I highly recommend delegating him to non-customer facing roles, he'd probably much prefer to wash up glasses or unload boxes in the back.
Don’t bother going unless you match a very narrow definition of LGBTQ. Two separate people made it very clear that my friends and I were not welcome in just one hour. I’ve never been applauded to leave a bar for just having a quiet drink in a corner. To be clear these were customers, the bar staff was lovely.EDIT: we were upstairs in the bar, didn’t see a show, and just had a quiet drink. We were not asked to leave. The reply from the owner just confirms my opinion of this pub.
Please add more chairs downstairs.I had no clue where to stay to watch the drag show, standing made it impossible to watch (I’m very short and the minute people stand in front of me I can’t see) and the very few tables available were all occupied.Got yelled at for sitting on the stairs which I understand since I was probably getting in the way but I literally had no place to watch the show from. Ended up having to leave shortly after out of frustration after watching 30-40 min max of the show (which started 45 minutes late!)Drinks are ok and the bartenders were nice and polite.
What an amazing venue, Staff are super friendly and the cabaret is brilliant ⭐️Spent New years eve in halfway and the acts were first class had a fabulous time from start to finish.Well done team halfway 👏
Had a fabulous NYE at Halfway this year, as with all nights (not just NYE) the staff were all fantastic, there was a lovely friendly atmosphere, the cabaret acts were stunning and the special touches for NYE (such as the decorations, glass of champagne on arrival and midnight) made it an extra special night. I couldn't think of a better place to ring in the New Year, here's to more visits in 2023!
A fabulous venue with fabulous staff and fantastic shows Such a great place to meet ,drink and relax whilst having fun. Go and visit there you won’t be disappointed. We are happy to call this pub our local .
Really cool gay pub, always busy on a Sunday for the cabaret, various entertainers that always give you a good show!Bar on two levels, toilets on lower level only.Come visit and leave wanting to stay!
This gay pub had been there for ages....mixture of crowds mainly older clientele. There's a small dance floor downstairs, when is busy is quite hard to get drinks. Friendly crowd with pop disco music. Worth visiting
Had an amazing night at the Hocus Pocus 2 viewing! It was so well thought out and they really made the event special. The drinks, snacks and theme were such a such touch. The staff and show were amazing, I hope they do it again soon!
Great location, bar and staff, only been a few times and mostly been good night's. But this Saturday sadly I left early because of the comments being made about the Queens and her passing by the drag act the Vixens. I'm all for freedom of speech and everyone is intitled to their opinion and understand what drag is about, but this was in very poor taste.
As far a venues go this is one of the best LBGTQ spaces in London. Was here for Pride on Saturday. Friendly staff, great service (especially from Kelly’s hatch) and incredible performances. Thank you for making Pride
What a brilliant place for Pride! An iconic venue. Close to Trafalgar Square and with a lovely team that go the extra mile. Brilliantly organised day and lots of great acts on top. A real must visit venue that rightly, is one of the best well-known LGTBQI venues in London.
I absolutely loved Pride (London) yesterday and I reckon I gave my all, some might say too much. London was desperate to show it’s true rainbow colours after a 2 year hiatus. I saw and felt only love within this incredibly diverse community and nowhere was that more evident than Halfway to Heaven. So much incredible entertainment (and no, I wasn’t performing)….but the acts were bloody brilliant. I have to draw attention to the bar staff and security as well. The place was full to the gills and yet they ran it like a well oiled machine.I’m a proud gay man and yesterday made me feel proud to be part of our LGBTIQ community.
Wow what a fabulous night we all had on Saturday, 50 years of pride! All the acts were amazing and the bar staff all did a brilliant job. Will definitely be back when we're lucky enough to visit London again 😍
Had the pleasure of spending London Pride at Halfway to Heaven 2022. The day was full of drag/cabaret performances and they were all fabulous. The staff were extremely busy but every time we went to the bar they were full of smiles and checking that we were all having a fun day.Outside there was bar called Queen Kelly’s bar where you could also get served even by Queen Kelly herself. We felt safe and had so much fun.Thank you Halfway to heaven for making pride a celebration to remember.
This is the first gay bar I have ever been in London. I am such a huge fan of drag queens so when one of our friends told about this small bar I never hesitated. The drag performance id happening at the basement of the bar. The place is quite small but the performance never disappoints. The performers were good and funny. Highly recommended!
I have been to Halfway several times now and it hasn’t disappointed at all. It’s one of the few remaining safe LGBT venues. The friendly staff are always so welcoming , great atmosphere and there’s fab entertainment downstairs every time I’ve been. Halfway To Heaven is the perfect place to start your evening or to end your night !
What a cracking venue, cabaret and fun every day of the week - The drag show CK Sunday is always a right royal laugh. A safe place for all, with friendly staff (especially Craig and Nick) and reasonably priced drinks as a bonus. Definitely worth a visit if your in town, you’ll leave with a smile.
Good drinks, good times! Came in on a Monday as this bar has shows every night of the week! Had a lovely warm welcome from the staff upstairs. Nice chilled ambience. Headed downstairs to see Miranda, it was a great atmosphere, plenty of audience participation. It's great to have a safe, clean and welcoming LGBTQ place in this part of town.
Popped into Halfway this past week with friends visiting from Bristol, and managed to catch a gorgeous lil drag show. The downstairs bar is gorgeous and welcoming, and Freddy at the bar was great. Lovely atmosphere and look forward to coming back again.
Great to back at Halfway to Heaven. I was pleased to see that it's pretty much the same which is a delight as its fine as it is. The staff work so hard on a busy Sunday at any time. They do this well, so clean and safe I think its the best cabaret venue in the West End and love Sundays there with my friends. If I could award more stars than 5 I would.
Amazing LGBTQ+ bar off Trafalgar Square. Upstairs is your typical London pub, downstairs the magic happens. Amazing Cabaret. Mixed aged clientele, attentive staff. A must visit bar when you are in town! Really cheap drinks for London. Keep up the good work!
Unfortunately I don’t have any photos to share, but this boozer has to be the most welcoming bar in central London. The staff take the time to know your name and your drink. Additionally Ange is such a lovely character who seems to fit in amongst a great team at Halfway.A bit of a side note, but if you struggle with the LGBTQ+ scene or are worried about unwanted attention, this place is really safe and secure. The cabaret is downstairs so it also not in your face with flare! All round great pub.
This really is a great little pub. It has a very friendly and welcoming vibe, and is well situated away from the intensity of Soho, if that's not your thing, but with all the glamorous cabaret downstairs if that is! The bar staff are all friendly and very efficient, especially Ange who's probably one of their longest serving members that I can remember. I would highly recommend this place if you want a relaxed break in a no attitude place where everyone is welcome. Well done Team Halfway!
My Husband and I are regulars at Halfway, and appreciate the attention and service of the staff, and in particularly James and Marsha who both give us fabulous service. Marsha is a friendly welcoming face that has become part of the what makes this place so great, and James is a wonderful host with a great attention to detail. Highly recommend the venue and look forward to our next visit, and catch-up with Marsha and the crew.
I have loved that place for years, If I go out I go there, the shows are brilliant and some of the staff very friendly, however the couple of old staff are just rude and you can tell how they hate their jobs in consequence the treat some of the customers as pure rubbish. That kind of people should not work there, shout to clients and mistreat them is just unacceptable when you are friendly and polite all the time. Last Friday one of them was even verbally aggressive toward us when he by mistake served a drink that we did not order and we refused to pay. The management should take in consideration what kind of employees they have. It isn't the first time
My first time in Halfway to Heaven and what a great night we had. I loved the drag act in the bar downstairs, haven't smiled and laughed so much in a long time. Both bars are cosy but very clean and there was generally a friendly atmosphere. Everyone was out for a good time. Thank you. I'll definitely be back.
Some things don't need change, and this is one of those venues.Love the staff and the drag.Always a fantastic and friendly welcomeNever disappointedThank you all for your hard work and dedication to the LGBTQi+ community
I am not gay, however I enjoy this place. For years gay people have gone to regular bars…I feel it is important to return the favour. The bar manager was great and thankfully there was a like minded lady there who I have since had a few dates with. Thankyou H.2.H.
Amazing LGBTQ+ bar off Trafalgar Square. Upstairs is your typical London pub, downstairs the magic happens. Amazing Cabaret. Cheap Drinks, mixed aged clientele, attentive staff. A must visit bar when you are in town! Keep up the good work!
The bar and staff it self are amazing, I love to go there....But come on guys, where do you find the security guys for the door.Honestly, he is so grumpy it puts you off get anywhere near,Please, he is the first face you see when you arrived, at least he could be polite enough to say hello and at least say he needs to check your bag, not just mumbled
The customers make a fantastic atmosphere. Unfortunately most of the younger bar staff are sullen and unfriendly. When you pay for your drinks by card, you have the option to tip the bar staff. This is a tip just for them serving you over the bar. After none of my group getting even the slightest smile from those serving us, I decided I'd tip them to cheer them up, wrong, £2 tip and not even a thank you . I know its only £2 but this is the equivalent of tipping the checkout attendant at Tesco . So the next round tipped them £5 for simply handing us our drinks at the bar. Not even a smile . So ill rate customers 10 bar staff 2. It is a lively pub so ill pay it another visit and see if the mincing miseries have been replaced with friendlier staff.
Always friendly. Cheap drinks and good quality. The main draw is the cabaret especially in the afternoon at the weekends. The staff remember you and it’s just a lot of fun. I have been coming to Halfway to Heaven for about 10 years now and always introduce new friends.
Halloween Halfway to HEAVEN or should it be hell? Not that it was bad the bar was amazing. Pulled out all the stops for Halloween. The Drag Queens had the whole audience doing the actual time Warp TWICE. So much fun and some great costumes even though it was afternoon. The staff were great and drinks so reasonable. Excellent Gin! Krystal and Kelly were out of this world entertainers. We will be back in a hurry, just try and stop us. Oh and the gender neutral toilet was a surprise bonus. Thank you.
Always our go-to place to start or finish a great day in London. Always made to feel welcome - everybody's welcome! Great atmosphere, great drinks, fabulous staff - thank you Heather! We'll be back soon! x
Great venue with a lovely atmosphere. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming! You must try their Polari Pale Ale. Absolutely stunning and a donation is made to Stonewall for each pint sold!
Amazing venue. Polite and courteous staff. Amazing entertainment and the drinks a really reasonable for London. Everyone is always happy in there so it is my happy space too. If you're in London visit Halfway to Heaven.
Such a great atmosphere. Like a family home. Staff very knowledgeable and always remember you. Amazing to see shows there especially at the weekends in the afternoons. There is something for everyone during the week and everyone is welcome.
Visited Halfway on Saturday night to enjoy a drink and some great cabaret. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The venue was clean and tidy and tables/surfaces were constantly sprayed and wiped down. This is a lovely venue and safe haven for all members of the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Will absolutely be returning again.
Halfway to Heaven is without a doubt my favourite cabaret venue. We always have a fantastic time, filled with quality entertainment and lots of laughs. In particular, we enjoy coming to watch the fabulous Rose Garden of a Saturday afternoon. The staff are without fail, friendly, welcoming and always smiling, which creates a lovely atmosphere. I have recently introduced some friends to Halfway and they have mentioned that they also really enjoyed themselves and would absolutely like to visit again.
Love Halfway, I’ve been going for years and have had the best nights here. Free entry to some of London’s best drag acts, or if you want a quiet drink, you can just sit upstairs. The team are so friendly and there’s a real family feel to the pub.
As a regular if Halfway I can assure anyone that you are due a cracking day/night if you choose to visit. There is cabaret every day of the week, to suit all ages and preferences… Old school to Ru Paul! The staff are friendly, attentive and considered with special mention to the management team who kept us all safe during COVID… well worth a visit! 5*
Came here for a cabaret show on Monday evening and had an excellent time! The service was good and the staff were all friendly. Compared to a number of venues I have been to, their social distancing measures were good, especially for a smaller venue. Definitely would recommend this fabulous LGBTQ pub.
We love this place 😍🎉Since lockdown ended we have visited H2H on numerous occasions, every show we’ve seen has been fantastic. Tables reserved, drinks brought to your table by the wonderful, friendly staff. We have laughed so much in the last month, we truly needed that after the year we’ve all had. If you fancy a good laugh and a friendly atmosphere, get yourself down to H2H. Heather who greets you at the door has been amazing, keeping us all safe and making you feel like family. 🌈💃🏻
Halfway to Heaven is a fantastic bar. The staff are friendly, attentive and reassuring. The venue is covid secure and so I felt safe going there. We went to a Monday night show that focuses on the new, upcoming queens of the scene. A fantastic opportunity for the less established to showcase their talents.Would most definitely recommend Halfway to anyone who wants a fun, safe and friendly night.
I’ve been using Halfway for many years. It’s still a great place to meet new friends. Covid had made that hard over the last year. It’s getting better now. Cold pint and cabaret from great staff. Well done for keeping going.
One of London’s little gems! This incredible little bar is full of charm and personality. The staff and management are warm and welcoming and make you feel at home and safe. The entertainment is awesome with some of the best cabaret artists from around the UK. Don’t miss out this awesome bar on any visit to central London.
Absolutely Fantastic night. Travelled Down to see Miranda Jane perform, and I did not regret it one bit. Entertainment at its finest. Had such a great time. Never waited for a drink and the staff were very helpful. The table service was faultless and everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to come down again. 🥰
We were a group of six visiting. This was our first stop. We stayed much longer than. Felt totally safe there and that's important. The music was perfect mix of camp classic and current. We all paid separately which was no trouble to the staff who were super friendly, constantly cleaning while making sure we all new the rules and were safe, even had time for a laugh with us. We hope to see a Drag show next time we are visiting.
Absolutely ecstatic To have been back last Friday, Halfway to Heaven you have been missed!!Thank you to the whole team for an amazing night. The cabaret was fantastic too. I can’t quite put into words just how much better a pint tastes within those glittery walls.
The customers make a fantastic atmosphere. Unfortunately most of the younger bar staff are sullen and unfriendly. When you pay for your drinks by card, you have the option to tip the bar staff. This is a tip just for them serving you over the bar. After none of my group getting even the slightest smile from those serving us, I decided I'd tip them to cheer them up, wrong, £2 and not even a thank you . I know its only £2 but this is the equivalent of tipping the checkout attendant at Tesco . So the next round stopped them £5 for simply handing us our drinks at the bar. Not even a smile . No cocktails at all on the menu, just wine and champagne. Was asked what I wanted, but how would I know what they serve without a drinks menu? Had to check the website, and failed to see any options for spirits. Left quite abruptly after spending only 2 minutes.
Absolute joke. Went this afternoon ordered 2 double shots of tequila rose which cost an amazing £10.10. I was served what I can only describe as half shots in a large shot glass Couldnt be bothered even arguing or making a complaint as the member of staff had already made it quite clear with his attitude, lack of manners and lack of customer service that he wouldn't of even cared. I understand that this is a difficult time for all in the work place. I myself work in a customer facing role. But manners cost nothing. Absolute rip off also
If there is anywhere I would recommend friends to visit for a fun afternoon or evening out in London, it would be Halfway to Heaven. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming; and the performers are absolutely wonderful! One of my favourite days to visit is a Sunday afternoon to watch the talented girls Crystal and Kelly perform. Go along, buy them amarettos and enjoy!
Ive been coming to Halfway for a few years now. Its an incredibly friendly venue and is considered a safe and fun place for anyone in the community. The management team and bar staff are extremely attentive and really can't do enough to ensure your visit to Halfway is a memorable one. They do an incredible amount for charities and should be commended for that effort. The drinks prices are some of the most reasonable in Central London and you could do a lot worse than to spend your hard earned cash here. Try Sunday Cabaret.......CK Sunday's are extremely popular and attach a very diverse and fun crowd.
