1st time there and absolutely amazing experience....got made to feel at home from the word go...will definitely be back....the women that go there were absolutely amazing with me and complimented how pretty I looked...felt AMAZING 👏...thanks xxx 💕 💞
We went looking for a gay bar and found this one. Dissapointed is not the word. The bar tender knew NOTHING when asked about the area. Took 10 mins to get a beverage and we were the only ones in the place LITERALLY the only ones. We had 1 beer and bolted. Not a friendly place at all.
The atmosphere and location are great but as the only lesbian bar in Glasgow they still prioritise gay men over lesbians. Fantastic queens performing but as most gay bars they treat women second to men.
Absolutely amazing.... I arrived in Glasgow all the way from Toronto Ontario Canada 4 months ago for my very first time and solo at that and I knew of a few drag queens who are at this establishment and one I knew prior to arriving and was welcomed greatly by one and the other person was just as awesome.... I even made a second visit for another evening of fun while I was there and I couldn't have had more fun both nights I was there during my trip there.... I will be returning for a visit to Katie's when I make my next trip to Glasgow
Cheesy! Haha! We were here on a Sunday and it was karaoke. Quiet, but those in were fun. Played pool and had a drink. Would love to see other nights in here. Definitely on my next trip up to Glasgow
I ordered a drunken monkey cocktail, it didn’t have much alcohol. I felt ripped off as it was almost 9£. The vibe of the place is good, the place is huge. Nice hangout spot.
Nice place, and friendly staff with a good selection of drinks and WiFi available on site as wellSometimes, the music or choice of entertainment can be loud or pretty weird though
This place is an amazing venue to spend time in. The bar staff, and the manager - Ross, are amazing people. Summarising… there isn’t a better venue in Scotland!! Please do yourself a big favour and visit this amazing venue. 👌🏼
Went about 9pm on Saturday 2nd MarchOverpriced paid £25.25 for 2 cocktails and a vodka redbull.Womans bathroom absolutely disgusting dirty clogged toilets 3 of them covered in vomit !People hogging pool tables no one else could get a look inDidn't order food.Good music dj was greatStaff friendlyWiFi doesn't work and no signal downstairsSafe to say I wouldn't go back
I ordered 1 gin and tonic for my friend and didn't want anything for myself however the bartender suggested I get a water (which since it was suggested I assumed would be free). I was charged £11.80 which is a complete rip off for what I got. For 1 gin and tonic and 1 water. A complete rip off! The bartender was definitely stealing from the till by charging customers extra due to it being Christmas.
I came here for my 25th birthday weekend with my partner and it was absolutely amazing, this is the best night out iv ever had. I recommend coming here for an amazing night. Everyone is super friendly and it's amazing I will be back!!!!!
Big space, plenty of room. Visited on a Monday night so we played pool then the bingo.Pool is a £5 deposit for the sticks but you get it back. Bingo was good fun and seems to draw a decent crowd.Staff were quick and friendly
Absolute brilliant Saturday night, such a fun, friendly and amazing atmosphere. They had karaoke hosted by a great drag queen and then a DJ who had the whole bar dancing.
First time being in and looked like a great time. Wee small bouncer ruined the night, said my friend took her ID back ‘aggressively’ and if she scrunched her face up again he would kick us out. Lost 7 customers tonight. Apart from that seamed lovely, but that wee man needs to sort his attitude as we are very polite girls.
Great entertainment and cheap drinks. All the staff are super friendly, including the bouncers.Large range of drinks including non alcoholic drinks. Very cozy wee place too.
It has a real nice atmosphere. I love the fact that you see all the different people coming together here. Having either a dance or a chat and a drink. Even the security guard comes shaking on the dance floor.Even though there is not much dancing space, people are still joining in.
Brilliant night , second time Iv been to Katie s bar . Staff are fantastic . Music is great . Atmosphere is always buzzing . It was my daughters 40th birthday we booked a table and they had her up on the stage sang happy birthday to her and made it a special night for her . All round it was 10 out of 10 .
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and decent price for double measures (no option for singles). My friend and I really enjoyed the drag karaoke. Only gripe is the long queues at the bars.
Attended to sell at the Witches Market. The staff were fantastic and even a chap who was thrown out could not praise them enough for the fair way he was treated. Certainly a bar I will be coming back to
Service = impeccableDrinks = double shots & cheapAtmosphere = a vibeLove everything about this place and was a top part of our trip to Glasgow. Would...
Great place for a few beers. Only thing I didn't like was the random queueing system at the bar. Wasn't sure what was going on as it was all a bit strange.First time at the bar just seemed like first come first served. After that it looked like some people were queueing and the staff were only serving people in the queue and at other times they were serving people who just walked up to a space at the bar. Sometimes I just felt invisible!Other than that it was a great place. Big and spacious with plenty of seats and reservations could be made for groups if required. It had a stage and there was entertainment supplied. Worth a wee visit if your in the vicinity.
Disappointed, angry... the company came to relax, enjoy and sing some songs. Girl who was next to the computer took our 2 orders for songs, put our names and we were waiting ... waiting ... for nothing and for last her song before closing :(( really? is that working like that?!If it was unreal to give us even one song, cause whole time was done - she should tell us, if not - Why we didn't make any 1 from our 2 songs?never will make an advice about this place )=((
Been here twice now and love it. No disrespect to any other bar in Glasgow but this is the safest I've felt in a bar. Music's great, the bingo is hilarious! Made some great pals as well! Prices are also decent 💖
Amazing underground bar, great architecture and character. All staff were friendly and helpful! What a treat to visit on our first visit to Glasgow! Will definitely call in again when we go back!
What can I say, I love this place. It's excellent for a nice night out with no hassle whatsoever. The place is well kept and clean and staff at the bar are always kind. Definitely recommend to anyone that wants to have fun. And do not forget they also have a couple of pool tables, ask the staff if you want to use it.
My only reason for the 4 stars is the accessibility issue which I will of course say that I know it is not totally their fault for how the bullring is built. However I do feel as someone with mobility issues that stairs are fine if it’s once I’m in the building I’m comfortable however sadly in the case of Katie’s the toilets are down another flight of steps. Which causes an issue if you are there for an entire night. I understand that it’s not their fault but is it something to consider if the venue goes through renovations. In all other aspects everything is amazing staff are welcoming and friendly. I would really recommend this place
Honestly this is one of my favourite bars in Glasgow - an inclusive space with a great atmosphere. Great choice of cocktails, and they have really good entertainment as well - thoroughly enjoy the karaoke and drag performances. The staff are impeccable and lovely, the service is fast even on busy nights and it's all around an amazing time every single time I've visited.
Called in with my youngest daughter chloe we are from Wolverhampton we were visiting celtic football ground the food in you're place was brilliant the staff were very pleasant and friendly keep up the good work you all do will be coming back from kev and chloe xxx
Nice bar, good prices but some staff need to work on customer service, big bloke behind bar Doesn’t know how to smile or be polite. Guy that was doing karaoke was a great singer but again quite arrogant and hasn’t a clue how to fade music or mix a track.Guy in glasses collecting glasses was friendly and always had a smile.
First time ever going to Katie’s last night! AMAZING! the staff were so nice, and the drinks were very well priced! I can’t wait to go back as the atmosphere was great! Had such a good night!
If you are looking for something a bit different, Katie's Bar in John Street maybe the place for you. Going down from street level into a surprisingly large vaulted area. There are pool tables on the right hand side as you go in. There is a good variety of beers and at reasonable prices. It was quite empty when I visited but began filling up when the karaoke started.
Cool place, it's split up on the same floor of pool table area, stage area, dance area, bar area and secret seating area. Staff are great, drinks are good, prices are good. It's nice to have a space for lgbtq+
What a fabulous place to have a great time. Really rocking and buzzing. Our group visited on a Monday night and it was packed. Pity it took so long to get our drinks.
Absolutely lovey place amazing staff, me and my friends always go here when having a night out, drinks are amazing, entertainment is brilliant they also have pool tables for a wee game a pool. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone x.
We were made to get cash from the cash machine as they didn't take card payments. Then we walked back and got seated on a sofa instead of a table (which was fine!) - we ordered our drink after 10-15 minutes and then waited forty minutes before we decided to just leave as we didn't get our drinks at all.All the staff were lovely but there clearly wasn't enough staff for a Friday night! We shouldn't have been let in if there wasn't enough staff to serve us.
Don't trust the bartenders here. One said my friend gave abuse for not having her card accepted and we were all denied. Turns out the bartender knew my...
