Lab.oratory Berlin, in Friedrichshain, is not just any gay club; it's a world-renowned mecca for the adventurous and the free-spirited. Part of the legendary Berghain complex, Lab.oratory takes the concept of a gay cruise and fetish club to a whole new level. With an ambiance that's both raw and electrifying, "The Lab" as it's affectionately known, welcomes men of all ages and body types to explore their desires in an environment that's as inclusive as it is exclusive.
Thursday nights are particularly infamous, with the "Naked Night" drawing in crowds from all corners of the globe. The atmosphere is electric, with over a thousand participants diving into an array of play areas, proving there truly is someone for everyone here. The club's industrial setting, complete with cages, slings, glory holes, and dark rooms, sets the perfect stage for uninhibited fun. But it's not just about the physical space; the friendly staff and the diverse crowd create a welcoming atmosphere that's hard to find elsewhere.
Lab.oratory doesn't just push boundaries; it completely disregards them. Theme nights range from kinky to downright daring, making it a place where fantasies come to life. The club's authentic industrial design adds to the allure, making it a must-visit for those looking to explore the darker side of Berlin's nightlife. While the club might not be for the faint-hearted, for those who dare, it offers an unparalleled experience of freedom and exploration.
Laboratory is an iconic gay night club on the lower floor of the Berghain.I attended on a Thursday (nude night). Doors opened at 9. I arrived at 8:40 and stood in line for at least 50 min. Many people arrived after me it was a particularly busy night. It’s interesting that it’s noted to be a restaurant? Like I suppose if eating other guys butts can be made into a meal, but I didnt see any table service. The music is loud! If you are sound sensitive, consider some ear plugs, it’s not like you are going to be having deep and meaningful conversations.Tips: Bring cash. You will need it to pay your bill on the way out.Exit can be a bit tricky. When you wish to leave first go to the changing area, grab your bag and get dressed. Next go to the bar, they will cut off your arm tag and give you a final receipt. Pay at the bar. Don’t lose the receipt as you will need it to get out.The space can be very daunting. The crowd can be hard to crack but it’s worth the effort. Eye contact can make things much easer.Go in and have fun Tiger…Transport to the venue is easy with a train to Banhof OST. It’s a 10 min walk.Plenty of taxis for when you wish to leave.
* No personal locker* Payment of drinks is cash only* Inside is really messy if you mind* Smoking is allowed in the entire areaFor the first time visitor: check in->grab a bag across the counter->change your clothes->give your bag to the staff->have fun->take the bag back and change clothes-> pay for your drinks at counter at the drinks bar(cash only)->give your receipt to the guy by the door and you are free to go.It’s a little bit complicated as you can see, but I will forgive all the shortcomings they have and visit again next time I visit Berlin, all for those hot guys inside (7/10)
The doorman asked me if I was on a list. When I said no, he refused to hand me over. It was a party with no dress code. Our community has suffered enough discrimination, especially in this part of the world, without continuing to experience this kind of situation. Not recommended for tourists. I will not go back.
Just a crazy, crazy place. If you visit on a Thursday night you don't have to worry about what you're wearing as you've got to be naked. It sounds daunting, but in reality it's a very friendly place. I had no issues with the doorman or staff. In fact they were very friendly unlike berghain. It's one of those places that you can't really describe. You've got to give it a try. There's no pressure, so you can just watch the shenanigans with amazement and not get involved.
Not for the faint of heart or those who haven’t done their research and hold up the staff with basics they should know BEFORE arriving. If you come with an open mind, deference to the helpful staff, the storied history and culture this place represents, you will have a blast. Can’t wait to come back again.
I attended a Naked Night on a Thursday. Doors opened between 21:00 and 23:00. I mistakenly arrived around 22:00 thinking the queue wouldn't be that bad. It was around the block! Despite this, I made it in by 22:40. I paid my entrance fee and was given a wrist band. You place your belongings into a clear bag and they write the number from your wrist band onto the bag. They manage this system very well. I did not encounter any rude bouncers and found all of the staff to be polite and welcoming. It's hard to convey the energy inside of this place but I would recommend anyone who is thinking of going, to go!
This is the best cruise club in Europe. There were many hot guys. The place is huge. I waited over an hour in line to get in on a Thursday night when they had naked night but it was totally worth it. I’m guessing there were at least 500 guys.

After todays experience I must give the service at the entrance -1 stars...In my eyes, the staff at the entrance does not have the proper training when it comes to customer care....and we are talking about small things !First of all, they are not the very welcoming kind to start with. Did not want to ruin my evening though. As i wanted to leave I asked to take the receipt , as it is mandatory in Germany to give -or at least offer - every customer a receipt (on paper of digital). I was told that i cannot take the receipt. I asked if i could take a picture the receipt - denied too... No photos allowed at the club...All of this taking place at the entry door and not in the club (bar or so). The 'solution' provided on site: I could write an email and the office would then provide me later with a copy of my receipt.Seriously ?Facts:Your customers pay money for a service, and they are entitled by law(!) - Rechnungslegungspflicht -to receive a bill stating the paid amount. The customer does not have to ask for a receipt, it must be provided especially upon reques. If you deny this, then it can be classified as money laundry.Am i to doubt the legality of this establishment right now?Suggestion:Inform or teach your staff about minimum legal requirements in your country in regards to customer and service.
Im possible to Pay cash less in the Club wich is ridoclous nowadys. I had to go to ATM with dadicated crew member to go out of the Club. I am not recommending this experiance to any one. Germany but I felt like mediewal Age 🤯
I came here searching for fun to spend 4h in the cold weather on the street trying to get in. So expect to arrive at 8pm and enter after at 2am. The club choses not to spend a little time with one employee holding a rolls of queue numbers and distributing numbers to people that arrive early. The club prefers to have a chaotic unorganized most unfriendly staff to give the vibe that this is a very posh place with thousands trying to get in. Thousands will cut in line in front of you. The place smells really bad… after 4-6h in line no one can be clean to all the “fun” they like to have in the dark rooms. After standing 6 hours in line… from 8:30 to 2:30 I got in… just to get out, overcrowded, bad smells and smoke of cigarettes. I don’t understand how the city of Berlin allows this place to be open.
I feel like someone needs to explain because a lot of people get confused....There is usually a line... so to be able to get to the entrance so you can line up and go to Am Wriezener Bahnhof (pictured sign) and the line will go down the alley (pictured) and the line for Lab turns LEFT. It's important to go to this section because sometimes the gate closer to the clubs door is locked and you cannot enter from that side and then you will have to walk around the entire block.lThere's a second line that goes right and that's for Bergheim, so get in the correct line! Opon entry (pictured) they will check your bag for prohibited items and you must pay 12€ entry CASH ONLY. There is no card accepted inside or ATM, be aware of this because you need to pay if U get any drinks when U leave. They will give you a wristband with the number, (pictured) this is your number for the night where all your drinks get put on your bar tab under this number. You also get given a plastic bag where you can put all of the clothes that you don't want to wear inside the club, they write your number on the bag and then you go inside. When you are leaving you will go back and get your bag and change back into your clothes, and then you go to the bar to have the number taking off your wrist and pay. They will give U a receipt (pictured) Then to leave you simply give this receipt to the guy at the door and you're finished.Entry is usually only for 2-hours on each night and if you get there after the entry time ends you cannot go inside. In my experience if there is a line they will still let everybody in the line inside.Thursday's is usually naked night and you must put all your clothes in the bag, if you do not want to be naked don't go on Thursday.Have fun boys!*Update* there is now a cash machine outside the entrance to berghain just to the right.*Update* as of January 2024 there is a card machine at the front door to pay for entry, now 12€ buy you still need cash for your drinks when you are leaving.FYIThis is not the kind of place you "hang out with your friends at" it's a men's only fetish bar that mainly focuses on s3x. Please don't smoke, chat, or sing in the darkroom/designated play areas. & walking around holding your boyfriend's hand is not a vibe.
This place is horrible. They have no information on their website. None. They made me wait an hour in line just to not let me in because they didn't like my...

I recently visited this club and had an absolutely terrible experience. The staff were incredibly rude and even resorted to bullying behavior, which made me feel very unwelcome. To make matters worse, they don't accept credit cards at the bar, forcing you to pay cash for drinks. If you dont have cash with you, they will kick you out as It's mandatory to buy a drink with cash, and you need to keep the receipt to be able to leave the club, which is a really ridiculous policy nowdays. The club itself was in awful condition. It smelled of urine everywere, making it unbearable to stay inside for long. People were also smoking everywhere, and the smoke was so thick you could hardly breathe. This was, by far, the worst club I've ever been to, and I will never go back. Avoid at all costs!
1-It's my top place for fun because I found everything I wanted there. However, I hate the scenes where people are urinated on; it’s disgusting and I feel bad for them. The security guards act like mafia bosses, but it’s not a big deal since you only have to deal with them briefly when you enter.2-I love the place because it’s affordable, and you can choose the people you want to be with. For me, being a top is enjoyable, but that’s just my personal preference.3-A crucial warning: be careful about diseases. Don’t let a moment of pleasure lead to a lifetime of regret.
We visited on Thursday (5/9/2024) night for the first time from the US. It was a great experience. There was a line out of the door but it moved pretty quickly. The staff were all pretty nice and provided good instruction at entrance. Then we decided to go back on Sunday (5/12/2024) afternoon. The theme was Sport wear. We just got out of gym and wore our gym out fit, tank tops and gym shorts. There was no line at door this time. A staff who is black guy with long hair was very rude for some reasons. He kinda delivered message that you foreigners are not welcomed here and the place is popular they don't need your business if you don't like his attitude. Nevertheless we went in and had a good time.We spent a couple of hours there. After we checked out we talked to the staff at the door. The back guy was screaming at us and asked us to "Get Out" of there. He said whatever you are asking the answer is NO.We get back to the hotel and Google searched the reviewed it appears that lots of customers shared the same experience with this black staff. Interestingly the managers of Lab.oratory never responded to any of the complaints. Also on their website there is no contact info to reach out to the management to provide feedbacks. We hope that eventually its management will see the feedbacks on Google review and address this issue. It's a very fun place but it's really unnecessary to give customers hard time. We are just here trying to have a good time.
Drinks were good and cheap and the space was curated well. There was a great variety of guys there. However, there was a patron who had obviously had too much to drink/had consumed other drugs. When I alerted the bartender, they were dismissive and told me he was fine. Just a couple minutes later he was stumbling around vomiting everywhere passing in and out of consciousness. Then when they finally "removed" him, they left him on a stretcher by the front door half conscious, covered in vomit. A neat club in certain aspects, but not a safe place to go out. Disappointing for a place with such a big reputation.

Definitely the worst and most rude staff I’ve ever seen. I can’t believe how they let these people work there. And how can you be so mean to someone very polite? Really disgusting…
Big club for men having action. Entry fee (12 eur) and drinks are paid only in cash, so make sure you get some before showing up. Only cash is pretty common in Berlin, as well as smoking indoors. Follow the rules and policies and have fun. The camera of your phone will be tampered with a sticker before you get on. Security and reception staff do their job, I did not experience anything wromg with them. If you are not lucky that night don't blame the club. There are plenty of taxis waiting for you as you exit the premises, if you don't want to use public transport, but Ostbahnholf station is at walkimg distance. A place to go for everyone into cruising places.

4 hours of queuing to get inside the Snax!!! +1 hour lost with the changing of time ( winter to summer time)So you arrive at 1.30 and you get in at 6.30!Time to show some respect for your customers and have a better entrance organization!!!
It’s a great club but yes unfortunately the door staff are rude. The bar staff are friendly however. The smoking inside is not great and you leave smelling of cigarette smoke. If you are throughly against smoking of have respiratory problems then this is definitely not the place for you. It’s definitely not for everyone and even the most open minded will raise an eyebrow while in there.
Fun club but for Gods sake CONTROL THE SMOKERS. It’s 2024 and even the dingiest third world bar doesn’t allow smoking. This isn’t about freedom, you are literally giving lung cancer to the people who work there. Do better! Somehow every other establishment has figured this out.
Some of the door staff have become rude and disrespectful over the years. The Friday night dance party has become nothing but a circuit party, with rude guys pushing in, so now avoiding.Smoking should be kept to the bar area.Kinda feels like this place has had it's moment in time, but that's probably more of a reflection of the door staff and the scene in general.
I highly recommend the MASK days (held the 3rd Sunday of every month). Very different crowd than the other days. It's less crowded, but there is more action than the other days I've gone. Wearing a mask seems to attract a wilder and less inhibited type of person, more atypical non-scene guys who know what they want and do it with conviction and have no holds barred. NAKED nights are a second option, but very crowded and the men there are not as HOT as the ones I've crossed at the MASK events I went to. MASK is very sexual and less posing and running around in circles.I don't recommend Fridays, besides being too damn busy, nearly an hour long waiting line, there is not a lot going on inside, except people chatting away in small groups. Saturdays are more for fetish lovers and you need to abide with the strict dress code.
I was in this club from September 8-9, I liked everything, except for the disgusting workers at the entrance who REFUSED to sell me a ticket because I didn’t take cash with me. My argument that I arrived with friends who had come an hour earlier was also met with a refusal with advice to leave the club and withdraw cash. I stood in line for an hour and a half and hearing this was like holding a lit match to gasoline. I was forced to stand for several minutes waiting for my friend, who gave me 20 euros, which I shook in front of these *** at the entrance. I was furious and my evening was ruined.

After doing a lot of research I decided to visit here on my trip to Berlin from Uganda. I was particularly interested in the stallion and mares party...
Not tourist-friendly during COVID, don't waste time coming right now if you were not vaccinated in the EU to get an EU COVID Certificate. I am visiting...
