Nice gay friendly bar, stopped in for a few drinks after a gig in Liverpool. Decent music, nice friendly barman served me and made us feel comfortable. Other bars around were very quiet. Would return if we're in the area againRichard Carrington

This is a very large bar. I asked for a gin and tonic and the barman snapped at me saying it is a doubles bar. I agreed to a double £8.00 which is extortionate. The place was freezing so kept my coat on. I was dumbfounded with the fact that it was the best gay bar in Liverpool and discovered that it was the worst. All those trophies mean nothing if your service is poor. You can have all the fancy ornate walls and ceilings but music was average but again the service is poor. Why have a rude customer facing barman, who clearly didn't want to be there. Sack the barman with the little ponytail or get him to clean up his act literally, he needs to be shown where the shower is and wear clean clothes.Cecil Phoenix

Always loved the place when I was younger, and it's the same old same.old.I love the addition of the outdoor seating area / Smoking Area.Friendly Staff as always.And their Sex on the Beech cocktail was lovely Nof sure what was different in their recipe but something special for sure! Love the place apart from the long haired bar man with nose piercing keeps your change presuming your too drunk and not going to wait for it, it made me feel stindgy for wanting your own money back, ask for a pay rise if you want more money ....Julia Watkins

I have been to this really old basement bar many times before. This time I called in on a Tuesday night. It was almost empty. Maybe that's because Liverpool Pride had taken place the weekend previous. Must say I really like this bar. Il be back againAnna M

My favourite bar in Liverpool. Has all of the trappings of a classic pub with booths and wooden decor, a pool table, friendly staff and good selection of drinks. It’s also feels very safe and welcoming being a queer woman there.Walter Wasone

A safe place for the gays. The decoration inside (especially the roof) is breathtaking. I went on a Tuesday night so it was not busy but the atmosphere was really nice and the staff is very friendly.Lewis Salt

Perfect place to go with friends. The place is the best combination of the new and the past. I lived in Manchester and in my opinion it's the best gay British pub I've ever been for it's uniqueness. The decoration of the place is exquisite because their wood features are out of this world. It reminds me that you are in the past but at the same time the place is modern, fresh and young people. The service also is excellent 👍👍👍 Huge recommendation.Jaxx Carter

If you are looking to come here just to chill out and sit down and not buy a drink like I did, go somewhere else.The (extremely rude) bartender came over and said to me "no drink no sit down. There's the front door".Absolute cheek. Won't be going back there again. I'm sure there's better bars in Liverpool.S. M.

First time in Liverpool and was incredibly friendly queer space which my boyfriend and I felt welcome. Good selection of drinks and the pizza was absolutely delicious for only £7 highly recommended. I couldn’t ask for more. Very beautiful furniture and decorations.Pauline Hill

I had a bad fall last Saturday evening at this bar and I would like to thank all the staff for the wonderful way they looked after me. My sister and I were having a lovely time but it didn't end well. I slipped on the stairs and fell down knocking myself out. I can't remember much myself but my sister could not praise the staff enough. She said they dealt with the accident with great compassion and care. Organising an ambulance swiftly and making sure I had dignity and respect during the ordeal. I am thankfully on the mend but it has been a very difficult week and I am sure things could have been a lot worse without the care I received at this bar. Thank you all very much again for your help - it really is appreciated.xxDave L.
