If you're thinking of checking out The Locker Room in London, here's the lowdown: it's a cool spot for gay and bi guys to hang out, relax, and meet new people. Think of it as your go-to place for a laid-back, fun vibe.
They've got the place looking slick after a recent makeover. You've got your 20-man sauna, a steam room big enough for 16 guys, and a bunch of cabins for chilling. It's all about cleanliness here, so you can kick back without any worries.
The crowd? Super diverse. Daytime draws a more mature gang, but come the weekend nights, and it's like a melting pot of guys – all ages, backgrounds, you name it. There's always someone new to meet.
They spice things up with special nights, like discounted entry on Mondays and Bear Night on Tuesdays – if that's your scene, you're in for a treat.
Location-wise, it's a breeze to get to, right near Kennington and Vauxhall stations. They're open from 11 am to midnight, so whether you're an early bird or a night owl, you've got options.
In a nutshell, The Locker Room's got a bit of everything – it's welcoming, diverse, and perfect for any guy looking to unwind and maybe make some new friends. Just check out their website before you go to catch any special events happening. Enjoy! 🌈🚿
Bears day is quieter than it used to be, but still some decent guys around. Biggest issue with this place is the lack of private rooms where you can lie down. Maybe knock a couple of the standing cubicles into one room big enough for a bed?
I have been to various saunas in European cities like Barcelona, Valencia, Budapest, Amsterdam, Milano Athens etc. This was by far the most dirty and the most repulsive facilitie i have ever seen since now.The facilities inside are so bad maintaned and almost all the spaces smell incredibly bad. It is also very small with tight spaces and only two floors. If you want sleepers you need to pay 4£ for the pair, they do not provide for free. Also if you are not interested to men under 40 or 50 this place is not for you for sure. Almost 70 - 80% of the customers there are over 60 years of age and they do not respect you, they touch without your consent. Overalll it was a terrible experience. Please avoid this place for your own good at all costs especially if you are under 30 and don't like a specific age group over 40 - 50 years old.I left the place after 10 - 15m. even though i had paid for the entrance and for the slippers.
I've been there a few times and had some great times, met some nice guys who seem to be from all over London, i'm lucky as i live around the corner so i don't have to travel, i'd recommend it to Bi curious guys too as it has a relaxed and discrete atmosphere and they can have a look around before diving in.
Don’t waste your time and money, so overprice for what it is, i was charged twenty pounds for entrance, i really regret. The place is small, stinky, poorly structured, no space, feels like a jail. The kind of people who go there are unhygienic, mentally damaged, or very high on drugs. Why do they let people like that get in, just to make profit and gives a horrible feeling and impression for those looking for fun and excitement, such a low vibe. I want my money back.
When you first enter, you notice a heavy smell and poor maintenance. The staff at the entrance was attentive. The changing room, closets and floors were not clean (dust, dirt, towels and lubricants were everywhere). The sections downstairs were stuffy and had a strange smell. The floor was not well-organized. They should change the liquid soap in the shower and put a better smelling soap. The steam room also had its share of these smells, in addition, the floor was not clean again (muddy black marks on the tiled floor). Ventilation is generally insufficient, I think that's why the smell is there. In summary: The price is very expensive as long as you have the things I listed above. The location is good, the coffee is good, the towels are small, 115cm long and 45cm wide and old.
Usually go on a Friday afternoon. Tends to be a decent mix of men, mostly on the older side at that time of day.Friendly staff and no attitude clients helps make my time nice and enjoyable.
Whent there today I was very surprised its very very clean and.very hot nice day out staff on the door was very nice and his free coffee is just the thing needed 😀
Great place clean nice welcome when you arrive tea coffee on tap great place to relax or have fun also it's a no attitude sauna I give the locker room 100/100
never again! the worst sauna I've been to in Europe.I highly do not recommend it.during my stay, someone let in a dressed strange guy eating sandwiches and watching some sketches on TV with the sound blaring the entire rooms.Basically, everything there was bad, embarrassing and uncomfortable.
I think this place ranks as the 3rd worst sauna that I’ve ever been to around the world. Floors slippery, the place stank, the towel didn’t fit, only stand up cubicles (I couldn’t find any rooms), there is a steam room and a dry sauna if you can find them. Needs a whole lot of decoration to the place. I lasted 10 mins and won’t be going back.
The place needs some overdue repair and maintenance. The dry sauna is the only place that works very well. Though staff and clientele were nice and friendly.
The heating not on for hours in the winter? Price has risen to 18£. Why not sell some drinks not from a vending machine and make some extra cash if ur struggling?
Guy on reception wasn't warm & friendly which put me off the place & made me reluctant about asking him about anything. Despite that the Sauna was busy mainly older guys but had plenty of fun
I have been here a couple of weeks ago and I was very pleased with the place very nice place to have a lot of fun times. And I will definitely be going back as often as I can when in London definitely worth 5 star in my book
Rocked up on the 29 Dec. It was a Friday. Arrived at 9pm. Cost 18 pounds. Quiet.., but still no excuse for the guy to turn on the lights at 11pm, when it says the place closes at 12. Disappointing and not worth the money. Will not be back in a hurry
Of all the London gay saunas that I've been to, both past that used to be around then and present that are still around now; The Locker Room is the only sauna that I would happily go to from time to time.
Went on Tuesday 22/8/23. Arrived @ 8.40pm. I was charged Full price of 18 pounds. When arriving I was in NO way advised of any early closure, I wasn't given any warning or choice.By 9pm the downstairs was closed.I was asked to leave at 9.45pm allowing me 30 mins while he finished his chores as most had left.I was out by 10.01pm.What a SCAM, utter SCAM.If this to me was how they treat customers, then for sure this is a reoccurrence. Not sure who runs this business, NO IDEA what so ever!!I most definitely would not go againIt states CLEARLY on their advertising, 6pm - 11.30pm.I'm a great supporter of small business as I operate one myself. However I wouldn't SCAM a client in this manner. You deserve to be shut down if this is how you operate and treat customers trusting and giving you their hard earned money.

The first time I went to that sauna they charged me £10 pounds, very cheap, but it did not have the necessary services like other saunas, and the second time I went they told me £18 pounds, by God, I didn't say anything, but I will never set foot there again and I will pay a a little more and I go to other saunas that are better and with more services
One attendant on duty on most days. Usually they are very pleasant and helpful. Only one guy (baseball cap always on), is rude and in open contempt of his customers e.g calling a customer a liar, and worse. I don’t need this rubbish so now if I see he is on duty (last time 15/02/2023) I simply walk away. Otherwise nice sauna, hence 3 stars.
Price is totally not worth it £16Everything was difficult to locateFloors were slipperyMaximum were elderly menA man made me uncomfortableI hope and pray, I never go back there. I am thankful to lord I made it to the bus stop safely.
I was a visitor in london for 2 months, June & July. 12July was my 64th birthday. Ive never ever been to Vauxhall. I found Locker Room Sauna by accident.I like it. The staffs are friendly, pricing is cheap, it is huge, 2 stories, i lost my way in there.Clients are non pretentious. I mean the know what they are there for !The best is, the dressing room has a hair dryer for my shoulder length hair. The best part is , I love the walk from Vauxhall Station to Locked Room. Beautiful buildings, lovely architecture. I visited the Cricket Club. I've never been to Vauxhall. My last day before flying back to Malaysia, I chatted with one staff, he was a short man, stocky body, short hair. He wore a black shorts when I was there and shirtless❤️He takes care of the front counter, check in, keys, payments etc. Always busy in front counter.Someone told me he was an ex army during his younger days.I told him, today was my last few days in London . He hugged and kiss me on the cheeks. I cried, teary eyes. He was a nice lovely man. I dont know who his name is. I wish I do ❤️ he has a sweet smile. But Im sure to come again! I love it Locker Room Sauna. On my way back, I stopped by a Fish & Chip shop, had a large haddock. Very nice.I'm open to any friendships. Contact me if you like.

Run down and narrow, it was like jumping back in time. Steam rooms weren’t even acceptable. Went on a bears/otters night, mostly much older men (if you’re in to that). A guy there had the worst smell coming from him! Left within an hour. Not recommended if you are in your twenties like me. Better off spending £15 at another, better sauna in London.
This is a lovely sauna. There always seems to be action happening in the steam room. I travel from Brighton specifically to visit the sauna. Most of the staff are really friendly and deserve 5 stars. However, the member of staff on duty (35-40 year old with a close cut beard) when I came today was really rude and unfriendly. He seems to be like that every time except with an elite handful of regulars. He barely manages to grunt an answer and the words please, thank you and hello just don't seem to be in his vocabulary. He is the reason for not getting a 5 star review
My second time going to the Locker Room & Im truly glad i returned, after quite a long space between the Covid pandemic. This gay sauna is truly fabulous in my view & the team of guys, who work very hard to keep the standards up to top are truly gorgeous. My second visit was on Wednesday 25th May & i had a fabulous time & met some amazing friendly engaging guys, that i feel just doesn't happen in other gay saunas i have visited. There are no airs or graces, attitudes from the guys who visit, which is truly nice & great to interact with some really nice hot guys for some great hot streamy fun.I will be returning again for sure & that will be very soon.Thank you to the gentlemen that gave me a chocolate bar & a pack of crisps... I will defiantly look forward to meeting you again & forgive me that your name has slipped my mind.Thank you guys & all 😘♥️♥️Mark
Mostly older and elderly men and bears (definitely visit the place if you’re into those!). Not a negative experience but just wanted to give expectation to first timers (like me) who will try it and who might expect a lot. Sadly i came home in less than an hour. 15 quid gone like a bubble. 🥲
March 22 2020, my last day in London, I decided to give this sauna a try. My first impression was given by the attitude and behaviour of the attendant working that afternoon, a handsome guy, clearly in love with himself as he was shirtless(first time I've ever come across a shirtless sauna attendant at the front desk), and someone with the charm of a bucket of vomit. He did not greet me, he did not make eye contact, he was swiping his phone as he served me, and he forgot to give me a towel. My back pack would not fit in the locker so I enquired if he might keep it behind hte front desk. Again withut even looking at me he muttered"put in kitchen". No indication of where the kitchen was. A customer observed this interaction and said to me that this particular attendant was so rude that other customers avoid visiting the sauna when he is on duty. When I was finished this sauna attendant was mopping the floor-it was half done so I passed by on the unmopped side, and stood in front of my locker. The floor in front of the locker had been mopped, so I assumed it was ok to stand there. The attendant muttered what clearly was an expletive under his breath, and furiously began mopping the dry floor, and deliberately mopped over my right foot. I said nothing. When I dropped off the key at the desk he again ignored me, and as I exited the vestibule I heard him swear at me.The customers I met inside were extremely pleasant men, the opposite of the sauna attendant. I don't knoow what his issue is apart from being a profoundly ignorant and rude attendant. Perhaps he thinks his good looks elevate him over the customers who come to the sauna and whose entry fee pays his bills and puts a roof over his head. I have been to saunas worldwide and never have I encountered an organism as personally revolting as this attendant. It's probably a fair bet that prospective customers don't go to The Locker Room because of the appalling attitude of this attendant.I certainly will not return despite having met some great men on my visit. In the 2 hours I was there, I did not see this attendant do his job by cleaning cubicles and restrooms.I have some advice for this attendant; beauty fades, ignorance is forever.
I've always liked this sauna - that is if you are going mainly for fun with blokes and not for a luxurious sauna / spa experience! There is much less 'attitude' than in many places and a wide variety of men go, so you don't need to feel self-conscious, In my experience the staff are friendly and welcoming. Free tea and coffee are available. There has been a makeover in the past couple of years, providing more room upstairs with the dry sauna has been moved there. I'm personally not so keen on this as the showers are downstairs and it's a schlep from the downstairs showers! Also, the cubicles don't have beds where you can lie down, so the comfort could be better, if that is a consideration for you. But overall, this is a friendly gay sauna.
The manager of the room very rude cheeky and little understanding of saunas when I asked him if he had eucalyptus spray made on hot stones and it is fantastic for the respiratory tract, his response was very little knowledge and contempt for my suggestion. telling me that he absolutely had not. between sunday the 30th at 1 pm and sir he told me 15 pounds three minutes were missing from the wall clock in the living room. digital time is less reliable than a wall clock. very disappointing return after two years .Not friendly
Visited the sauna yesterday and impressed with the place. Friendly welcome from Richard and made me feel comfortable and welcome. The facilities were clean and tidy. Even though it is a small establishment it was enough. The clientele was just right. The guys here were real. I am a guy of 56 and to me this was the place. Young guys with fit bodies are lovely but often superficial. Here the guys you could chat with have a coffee and just connect. Give this place a try.
It was my first time at a sauna at the ground old age of 50.Wayne was a real sweetheart to help me out with the sauna etiquette. I had a wonderful time and I was the last 4 men standing at closing time. I will be back xx
Great community feel to the place with lovely staff, you can get right down to business or strike up a conversation with one of the locals, whatever you feel like at the time. Good mix of ages and types in there too!
Great venue, wonderful management, but lately unfortunately the atmosphere and experience spoiled by an ever-present patron named Peter who has no concept of personal space, who is intrusive, makes loud personal comments about visitors, and who seems to be a fixture and can’t keep his hands to himself. It’s disconcerting having this unpleasant man hogging changing room when new customers arrive and forcing his attentions on people. Such a shame that one person can spoil everything.
Extremely decadent please. I would hardly not recommend anyone to go there. It was quite dirty, very small and more than 90% of people looked more than 70.
Went to this place on a busy weekend afternoon. The staff are very polite and the showers are clean. The clientele mostly consists of vile elderly men who seem to have a nasty attitude. Won't be going back anytime soon.
First time here today, really busy with different guys of all ages..had some fun with a cute twinky boy, but would be nice if more spaces to lay down and lockers very small otherwise showers good and had a couple of slings which i hope to be able to use sometime soon.Had a coffee before leaving, felt comfortable and will be back..
The positive of this place is that the guy on reception is super nice. I’m afraid that’s where it ends ....I wouldn’t really describe this place as a sauna, it’s a converted house with a steam room, showers and random play rooms. It needs a massive make over, it’s tired and old and feels dirty.Considering it’s located smack bang in gayville south London you would expect the clients to be decent but unfortunately the average age in there is 70 and you’d be hard pushed to find any one under 20 stone. If your into a it younger and fitter like me, this won’t be the place for you
Fantastic establishment friendly, welcoming and professional staff nothing is too much for them; great facilities and friendly unpretentious crowd. Would recommend it to a hard core Londoner or an alone traveller 10/10
SPENT JULY 2017 IN LONDON.READ A LOT OF POSITIVE REVIEWS OF LOCKER ROOM.THEY'RE ALL TRUE!! GREAT TEAMIS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, ANDINSIST ONE AND ALL HAVE ABLAST. I can’t stress enough how impressed I was from this place and the staff.A place is measured by the patient and dedication, and this is what I saw.The staff were busy whole night to ensure that there is always hot drinks, clean towels and were always available for any question or any assistance that you may need.Really deserve a big Bravo! I surely will come back and definitely recommend this place to others.Very warm and kind people.I’ve also very much enjoyed the crowd which were exceptionally kind and friendly. Thank you very much.
