About

Mann’s Street in Helsinki is a hidden gem for anyone looking to dive into the city’s vibrant LGBTQ+ scene. Tucked away at Mannerheimintie 12, this cozy karaoke bar has been around since 1998 and remains a favourite spot for locals and visitors alike. The venue is known for its laid-back, friendly vibe, attracting a diverse crowd, especially those in their 30s and older. Expect an intimate setting where strangers quickly become friends—perfect for those spontaneous karaoke sessions! The music ranges from Finnish schlagers to pop classics, so there’s something for every taste.

One of the unique touches of Mann's Street is its Tom of Finland-inspired decor, adding an artsy, iconic feel to the space. Whether you're there for their happy hour (don’t miss those discounted drinks!) or staying late for the singalongs, the bar is a lively and inclusive spot to relax and enjoy Helsinki’s nightlife. Although it might be a bit tricky to find, as it’s located through a small arcade and on the second floor, the quirky charm is well worth the hunt.

It's the second time we come to this nlce and fun place. All is great, the security agent, the bar tenders, the crowd, all great. It is also a place that Finnish people seem to love so we respect their traditions. The only negative point (which is not not of course the fault of the staff) is that there was a short bearded man wearing a cap who I feel is dangerous: he approached to us trying to start a conversation, introducing himself as a Tunisian and telling me that the place was boring. Not willing to continue a conversation with him, he got angry and say the "f" word to me, violently hitting my shoulder. When I was leaving, I told the security agent what happened; he was very kind and told me that I should have told me when it happened and we would have kicked that man out. I didn't want to create a problem, so I preferred just to warn the agent so this individual is identified and won't be allowed again to come in because I really think he is dangerous and this type of people doesn't deserve to be in Mann's Street Bar. Thank you, Kiitos.

Karaoke bar with mixed/gay clientele, not a gay bar. We were trying to have fun and finally driven away by an over served customer who harassed us and wouldn't leave us alone. Bartender watched it happen and did nothing.

Not our kind of place. It had an indoor smoking room which was novel. The two times we went it was quiet but it would've been too loud for us once it got into its stride.

I was here with my spauce and we really enjoyed karaoke! They have entrance fee which is 4€ now.+ You don't need to pay for every song (as in The Secret Club in Moscow). Just use convenient pads in the walls!+ The audience is friendly and supportive! You can meet nice people here.+ They have English songs too.- They don't have drinks menu.- The toilets are somehow broken (every of them).- If your personal boundaries are important for you probably you don't wanna visit. We both were touched by random people. I was OK with my case but my spauce got upset in his case.
