About
Tucked beside The Standard, East Village, narcbar is The Standard’s fresh, new neighborhood scene. With clean, seasonal cocktails from lauded New York slinger Tonia Guffey and pitch-perfect wine selection from Ashley Santoro, narcbar is your street-side, East-side go-to for everything from after-work drinks to after-hours mischief.
The new venue features blissed-out bar bites, dishes, and late-night eats by none other than Michelin-starred chef John Fraser of Narcissa. The casual-yet-refined atmosphere is perfect for Bowery-side people watching aplenty, casual encounters of any kind, and the social habits of the local set.
The place is said to be LGBTQ but it is not. I was there on a Friday night and the bartender said the last sale at the bar was at 00:30. When I asked if there were any other LGBTQ places around, he said he didn't know. It's definitely a money trap. I never recommend it.
Small little bar tucked in the corner of a hotel. Super friendly staff and all around great atmosphere. Make sure to meet the bartender Gary, really good dude and makes the best armeretto sour.
Was just here with my daughter for Mother's Day brunch. This is such a beautiful place with good food and drinks! The service was good here however it was...
Came here on Sunday for the drag show brunch! The food was phenomenal- my favorite was the French dip and fries! All the portions were large and very filling. The drag show brunch is every other Sunday & is such a fun time. Definitely recommend checking out, the music is fun & the performance was great!!
The walls have earsThis bar is lovely, if a little overpriced, serving a wide variety of delightful cocktails that are perfect for taking the edge off a busy day.I have been several times with friends, on first dates and - during my most memorable experience - with colleagues.Arriving on a late summer’s afternoon, we plonked ourselves down on chairs in the cool shade of one of the umbrellas.Chat started off well enough, peppered with phrases such as, how is your girlfriend Peter?, and, Estella, doesn’t your new flat look lovely? But, a cocktail or two in, we found ourselves talking rather loudly about our employer. The more than audible conversation rumbled on unabated for about 20 to 30 minutes before one of us had to depart for the restroom to relieve themselves.A few moments later, they came sprinting back.‘THAT’s our boss!,’ they did their best to whisper, pointing with a quiver at the large plant behind us.Everyone peered inquisitively at the innocent looking emerald bush before realizing that, behind the shrubbery, there was sitting none other than the boss himself - plus another senior staff member.A gasp of alarm rippled across the table as colleagues clutched their aperol spritz’s as though they were life rafts and we had just been lost at sea.‘Oh, HELLO sir!,’ said a colleague, gesturing to the man behind the shrubbery, ‘we didn’t see you there’. An eruption of nervous laughter followed.Important lesson learned, namely that this bar has as wider ranging clientele as it does cocktails.
I stopped in for a drink on a Thursday night around 11pm, and they weren't super busy. The bartender was great and they have an awesome DJ. Super chill spot...
Fun bar with great music on a Friday night! It wasn't crowded so it was easy to grab a chair at the bar. I liked the drinks but felt like they were fairly...
Super classy and chill! Great music and beautiful architectural design. Great bar service and door manners. Clean beautiful bathrooms and a photo booth downstairs for fun nostalgia. I highly recommend.
Not gonna lie, at first I was unimpressed. The first drink I got was not good and the music wasn't great but decided to stick around for my friend. I asked the bartender for a better drink since we were staying -and he happily replaced it. Then the music got better and better to the point where I was even dancing outside. I had so much fun here, I DID NOT want to leave!!! The staff was SUPER nice. My bartenders were AMAZING! I cannot wait to go back!!
Thought we were eating at a place called Cafe Cafe, but I guess it's called the NO BAR. I had a very delicious pasta with mushroom. The waiter informed me that the mushrooms are grown in a cabinet above the bar. Very lovely meal.
Came here for New Year's Eve it was fun, drinks took forever like usual but keep in mind it was packed to the brim, the actual drinks were ok?? Wasn't...
Went in yesterday afternoon to grab a drink as I had 30 minutes to till. Bartender was as friendly as a stubbed toe. 3 people there..you can at least say...
The bartenders at No Bar (particularly Reed, who you'll recognize by his excellent hair if you happen to catch him) represent the creme de la creme of what the city has to offer. The presence of a disco ball elevates the atmosphere from merely stylish to utterly sublime.
Not as great as some of the other Standard bars I’ve been to (I liked the vibe, but trying to find the restrooms was like going through a mirror maze). The bartenders were not very observant, and they were stingy with the drinks (if I’m paying $20 for a drink, please don’t be stingy and fill my glass up, not load it up with a whole lotta ice and call it a drink). I won’t be returning, and there’s tons and f great local bars near here that are much better (and much more affordable) than here.
Great place with great drinks, a queer-friendly establishment so they regularly host drag shows. If you’re coming for one of these nights, show up early for a table as seating is limited. They also have a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages.
Met up with a friend for drinks and a snack at No Bar. I wasn't 'wowed' in anyway but the venue and ambience was great. The menu was unimaginative and the...
Went here for a friend's birthday. Food came out very slowly; some of us didn't get our food until we were at the bottom of our second round of drinks and reminded the staff 3 times. One person ordered the burger and the tomato slice still had the produce sticker on it. The icing on the cake was when they tried to misplace $100 in cash when we were settling the bill. They claimed we were short when we in fact had the entirety of the bill covered with room to spare. Never again.
Service for food was terribly slow. Took nearly 40 min to get tiny appetizers. They also left the sticker on the tomato in one of our burgrers?!? Replaced but still what?? Plus when it was time to pay the waiter claimed it was short and it wasn't, gaming my friends for $100! It wasn't until they recounted the cash they realized! Absolutely horrible. Do not go here!
Visited this newly opened bar/lounge that serves interesting cocktails & a handful of bar food but not your typical bar grub. It was their first night...
