I Went last night and had 1 drink and went back up for another and I was refused service because the bar man said I had too much to drink when i had only 1 drink in this bar and 1 elsewhere as i was recommended this bar so i came over. I was really enjoying the music and seeing everybody having fun. This was strange so I left right away and I went to the street which is brilliant they couldnt believe i got refused .im Visiting from ireland and have been all around the world and have never ever been refused service at any bar or pub. Won't be back I'll give my money to other bars instead !!!Mauricio Hernandez

As others have stated in the reviews, there seems to be at least one bartender who is standoffish and makes you feel unwelcome.The drink was great but I spent the entire time wondering why I was treated so coldly. Otherwise the place seemed like a good time but couldn’t justify staying for another drink.D Clark

As described on the front page of evening news cause for concern for hygiene in the kitchen - a scruffy dump with a questionable landlord and some scary punters- wouldn’t use this pub if it was the only gay bar in Edinburgh - you can spend a fortune here and not get drunk “hint.”Scott

My favourite LGBTQ+ bar in Edinburgh. Staff are friendly and always a good atmosphere. Regular drag performance and music to cater to all tastes. You will have a great night here and it isn’t too overpriced either.Derek Smith

Pleasant vibe and fun decor. Did seem to attract mostly the gay male side of the queer community, but there were also some other letters of the acronym present and everyone seemed relaxed and friendly.Brandon Bennett

Thought the place was weird when I first came in because it was a mixed crowd and there was a smoke machine but then the drag performance started and it was amazing. Staff are so friendly, from security to bar staff, to the performers. Great crowd and I would recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh:)Laura Rea

Went last night and was refused service because according to the bar man I already had too much to drink. This was beyond weird as I hadn’t yet had any alcohol at all anywhere last night. Visiting from the US and been all around the world and never refused service at any bar or pub. DONT GO. Went to the nearby bar The Street and was served my pint without a problem (and a smile).Paul Green

Was in Edinburgh on holidays & had a great experience here. Bartenders couldn’t have been more accommodating through all of their gestures & best gay bar in the area IMO. Range of activities on different nights & the client base was so friendly, positive atmosphere all around.K A

So boring! Even more disappointing than the bars in London. People don’t give up their seats, one guy sits at a table for four. Rude and weird guys are so many out there. This kind of thing would never happen in Japan.Daniel Jesus

I could comment on many of the posstive aspects of the bar, however the bartender have just cutted off my mood.For my first time in the bar such a disappointment being miss treated in such an arrogant way just because the Mr. has some problems with the person that was with me. If you’re a person of colour I do not advise coming here. They’ve clearly got an issue with non-white people, only want people of their own in there. Very rude, and owner is clearly racist. You’ll realise this as soon as you step foot. Avoid at all costs!Fcuk_sake _ally

Amazing bar was my first time ever visiting a gay bar in the 22 year on this planet. Staff were lovely and drinks were amazing very fast service and very welcoming really cute guy behide bar with red top 3/9/22 at night was very polite and kind and just a very good representation of the company . Visited for work and also caught up with some mates on a visit to Edinburgh. I am a London lad (formerly of budapest) long time London......cannot believe I walked into this place and felt at home. I loved the warm fun friendly welcome from the staff. How can I forget this... I never will they had my favourite soft drink on tap.... this obviously goes with vodka and sometimes can give you wings!!! Miles ahead of London. Absolutely awesome, we went for a team night out after mini golf and the staff were awesome and DJ Cilla was banging. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Best in Edinburgh since covid and before the prices have increased dramatically!! I.E for example a double vodka and cola is now £4.80 where other places are cheaper! Tennants £4.10 for a pint! But, saying that friendly staff make you welcome. Drag acts on Friday night and various entertainment during the week! (Before covid happend hopefully soon be back to normal!! Been for a drink, we ordered a cocktail and a beer, they checked us 5 times in a strange way just because we were not ordering more, i understand it if you were busy but you were not, also i would have stayed for more drinks if i could get my phone charged. Was in on Friday night and the place was full with everyone having a great time. I was really impressed by the décor it has all been done up and open plan now with comfortable booths, really nicely done and great entertainment and music. The drinks are very reasonable with a great selection of shots and cocktails.
