Good atmosphere, plenty of entertainment, from actual performers rather than a TV screen. One of the last places still alive into the early hours.Good prices and table drinks service so you don't have to miss anything.
Used to go every night . Just came home from a lovely holiday in Gran Canaria and this venue has gone down hill dramatically. It's almost like their main focus is selling fans, t shirts and shots. There was zero quality to the show . Such a shame
Have always enjoyed coming here for some camp old binbag drag but not sure what has happened as it was so bad with really minimal effort and can hardly hear it not enough speakers. Our whole group was really disappointed
Nice outdoor gay bar, lots of seats, good atmosphere. The drag show was hosted in English, and it started at 11 PM. However, it was not of the best quality.
I have been going to Ricky's for years. I've always loved that it was a bit crap with bad lip syncs. But it was funny. Went tonight and was bitterly disappointed. No longer aimed at the gay market. Now aimed at the straight holiday market. Such a shame that somewhere I've gone to for the last 25 years will never be visited again. 😞
Been on holiday 9 nights and spent almost every 1 in rickys, show starts around 1030pm but get in early for a seat, different show on every night and all the girls are brilliant, the bar staff and waiters keep you hydrated even on the busiest of nights, keep up the good work Rickys and we'll see you again soon xx
Thanks to all at Ricky’s for entertaining us and plying us with drinks during our recent holiday. It was our favourite go to place every evening with a different show on every night…..and then wrapped up with karaoke. Special mention to Heidi, Fahrenheit, Poppy & Daisy. Not forgetting the brilliant floor staff…..Heading back to Ireland for a rest and a new liver!!! But hey, we did it “My Way” ❤️
First time this year at Ricky's and what a disappointment. Been there so many times, but things have changed and on last nights visit, not for the better. I will try again tonight and/or Saturday and see what happens. There was a tribute act on first, which was supposed to be Celine Dion, which she was nothing like. She had none of the mannerisms or nuances of Celine Dion, not one. She sounded nothing like Celine Dion and again failed to replicate any of her pronunciation of words, or hit any key Celine sings in. Celine Dion is French Canadian and very proud of it, so you would think a Celine Dion tribute act would sing at least one of her many french songs, no. She wasn't a bad singer, but she wasn't great either. A Celine Dion tribute act, she definitely wasn't.The drag cabaret show afterwards, was just full of the same old recycled material, one after the other. They appear to have lost some of the enthusiasm and lustre, but I have to say, Daisy Diamond was the most impressive and worked hard.I gave 5 stars for service and I hope the bar staff are paid well, as they were run off their feet and did a fantastic job. There didn't seem to be as many as normal and applaud their effectiveness and friendliness.
Brilliant night watching the cabaret. Some of the normal performers were missing, but the front of house staff were great stand ins.Don't miss this place if you're in the area, but get there early if you want a table.
Used to be my favorite drag bar, had many amazing nights here. Expanding seems to have mean they've sold out and the shows are now worse than Sparkles. Such a shame.
A great show every night, staff are friendly and speak English (most are English). The show has varied music from all eras, Cher to Freddie Mercury to Spice Girls to Britney. You can dance in the standing area and still have a great view of the stage. For the last song anyone can go on the stage to dance, then there is Karaoke! 😂
We got curious when we saw a crowd gathered around a bar at the yumbo center and decided to have a seat there. Boy, we were not disappointed! The performers were: gorgeous, hilarious, talented and total professionals. I'm shocked that we only paid for the drinks because the quality of the show was great. And there was a karaoke before the cabaret too, which also quenched my thirst for attentionThe drink service was great too, the waiters were quick to spot the empty glasses and bring new drinksWe went back twice and we recommend this place to anyone visiting Maspalomas and likes to have a great time!
What a wonderful evening! We were recommended you ladies by our TUI rep and were definitely not disappointed, so funny. The drinks are a good price and we enjoyed our jug of Sangria.Still trying to remember what the Lidl song was to, it's been bugging me since I've been home 🤣.Definitely worth a visit!
Myself and partner visited Gran canaria between 23 Oct - 30 Oct, spent 4 out of 7 nights in Ricky's bar and each time both laughed our heads off! Such a great atmosphere, with talented Queens. Bar staff very attentive and drinks priced reasonably. Definitely will return!
Something has changed at rickys ,,regular s can see it, so many time wasting moments, sell sell sell as per is expected but 20 minutes per time wasting moments in the corner flag between 11 and 1am built up were people either left or disengaged from the " jovial" atmosphere. Sad to say but something has definitely changed and not for the better.Queue the nasty reply.....
Fun camp entertainment, great to see a non PC show with people getting ribbed, audience participation and good old fashioned humour.Service was really good and everyone was made to feel welcome.A great night had by all ❤️
It's a drag queen show for straight white English people. It's not funny, the jokes are outdated, the coreos are messy, and please... A drag queen show with drag queens in kitten heels, sneakers and jeans... No please!2 stars because, at least they try to do something. But It's terrible... 🥱
Brilliant bar, good atmosphere and amazing service from the bar staff! We were there with our baby and the staff really made sure we were comfortable where we were sitting so wee one could sleep in the pram. The drag Queens were all funny and friendly and one of them was smitten with our baby girl and was so sweet and kind towards her. As much as we probably wouldn't come back to GC we actually had many fab nights drinking here and enjoying the shows.
Super funny drag show but bad cocktails. The show was incredibly funny with this dry, awkward British Humor, loved it. Service is really good just the Drinks (Sangria and Cocktails) are a let down. Way too sugary.
Ricky's Cabaret Bar: OMG, seriously bad, we even spotted the barman yawning his head off. In short it's men in dresses, singing with bloke voices, to male...
Oh what a giggle this place is! If you love cabaret and the British smut that comes with it, you'll be well away! The drinks are cheap, the service is great...
