We have the very sympathetic customers to sadly the most pathetic above all the door bangers for their whatever disgruntled reason The bad ones should be barred and not just think about making your next 20 bucks- smoking should be banned as well Had not been back in a while its now become a seniors haven mostly but on a positive note the staff are all very nice! but its the same old all the time and now the over excessive over weight wont be returning!
Went on a Saturday night and Sunday Afternoon.. Both times it was fairly busy with about 40-50 men (mainly older).. The facilities were clean and I did not notice too much of a tobacco smell. The Hottub was clean and working well. Both the dry and wet sauna were also clean and smelled fine. I observed the staff cleaning the wet sauna multiple times throughout my visits, same with the shower area. Overall a good experience. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for somewhere to escape the cold!
Very few people and 95% of their client are 65years and up and you will never see any person less than that, too bad as is not as used to be in the pastI wish the owner change the price to get more people and I suggest 10hrs for $25 and put back free towel change as use to be before the Pandemic
Overall ExperienceMy experience at Centre-Ville Sauna has been quite mixed. While there are aspects of the place that I enjoy, there are several significant issues that make it difficult to have a consistently enjoyable visit.Positive AspectsProfessional and Kind Staff: Most of the employees are very professional and kind, making the visits pleasant in that regard.Attraction to the Venue: I initially frequented this place because I have a preference for older men, and this venue seemed to cater well to that interest.Negative AspectsSmoke and Odor Issues: The most significant problem is the pervasive smell of tobacco and other unpleasant odors. Upon entering, it's disheartening to leave with clothing and skin reeking of smoke.Drug Activity: There is noticeable drug activity, including drug dealers on the premises, which creates an unsafe and uncomfortable environment.Unpleasant Smells: The steam and dry saunas often smell like urine, reminiscent of a poorly maintained zoo, which is highly off-putting.Towel Policy: Despite the pandemic being over, Centre-Ville Sauna still charges $1 to replace towels. This policy feels outdated and inconvenient, especially when other places like Bain Colonial offer free towel replacements.Rude Management: The manager, who is a tobacco consumer himself, not only allows these issues to persist but is also notably rude to customers. There was an instance where a customer reported someone experiencing an overdose, and the manager's response was extremely rude and dismissive.Safety Concerns: On several occasions, I had to leave the place because I did not feel safe due to the aforementioned issues. As a result, I have stopped going there as often because the environment no longer feels secure.Recommendations for ImprovementTo enhance the experience for all patrons, I recommend the following changes:Strict No-Smoking Policy: Implement and enforce a strict no-smoking policy within the premises to ensure a clean and pleasant environment.Address Drug Activity: Take strong measures to eliminate drug dealing and usage within the venue to create a safer space for all visitors.Improve Cleanliness: Ensure that the steam and dry saunas are thoroughly cleaned and maintained regularly to eliminate any foul odors.Management Overhaul: Consider replacing or retraining the current manager to foster a more respectful and customer-friendly atmosphere.Customer Feedback: Actively seek and address customer feedback to continuously improve the quality of the establishment. In summary, while Centre-Ville Sauna has potential and some excellent staff members, the current state of cleanliness, safety, and management behavior significantly detracts from the overall experience. I hope these issues are addressed promptly to make it a more enjoyable place for everyone.

I would call this place tragic and pathetic, but that would be an insult to both tragedy and pathos, which are usually interesting. It's Saturday night. I'm writing this from the sauna. It's a tomb. Tourists-save your money. Nothing is going to happen here. I can't wait to get back to Toronto.
Used to be a much more fun place Its now become a haven for the seniors mostly embarrassing to watch Smoking and everything that accompanies that should be flat out banned There should be more than just thinking about making your next 20 bucks upon your next customer The same thing goes with those that have the flu or are constantly coughing stay the heck home please! On a positive note the customers overall are nice some can just stay home as well with the way they walk in there and bang theyre room door and the staff as well i have no complaints but more severity is needed just the same i wont be going as often anymore

What used to be a much more more fun sauna has now become quite more disappointing Im fed up with having to see disgruntled customers for whatever reason banging their room door and just last week an idiot did the same thing with his locker as he was leaving Smoking should flat out be banned all together and the smell of weed little lone smoking weed should be banned in all form I know you want your customer business but one must realize not all of the other customers are problematics! If i dont see some changes i will be going a lot less in future The employees are all great on a more positive note but more severity is needed!
Place is perfection! Clean, fresh smelling. Aromatic steam and sauna rooms. The rooms are big and roomy and have free videos. The hot tub was clean and great. Not crowded at all. A great space to really relax and enjoy my the spa and suna parts of a great bathouse!
The best sauna by far. Compare to sauna oasis and gijoe. If you go there expect to have a lot of old mature men’s. Don’t go there to expect young mid age men.I love old man so that why I love this place. The staff are very kind
If you want your bathhouse experience to look like some sort of East German hospital from the 1970s, then you're in luck, because this is the place to go. It looks and smells like depression
If you want a bathhouse experience to look like some sort 1970s East German apartment complex for seniors. This is the place to go. It looks and smell like depression
Don’t ever go in here. The place is filthy, and seems like where homeless people are living. I saw the place last week and it is the dirtiest and filthiest gay bath house I have seen in my life.
Second review: Overall good place to just chill as well catch up on some sleep Customers-staff are overall very nice Can use just a tad more regarding cleanliness its not easy working in a sauna for sure I wish they would ban cigarette smoking all together a pet peeve of mine!
This place is dead and is a threat to public health. The water in the hot tub is a mixture of foamy, gunky water, chlorine and a whole array of body fluids. The sauna smells like urine all the time. The towels are always stained and yet they have a policy of charging $5 if the towels are returned with stains. The crowd is rather on the geriatric side, so if you're in your 50's you're a spring chicken compared to the average guy there... some guys can be overtly hostile and with no basic manners whatsoever, and the people at the reception can be rude and arrogant and don't even bother to answer the phone; they will give you updated information about the admission prices only when you are there at the reception. I saw a guy selling dope in small plastic bags, probably cocaine or who knows what. I have seen much better places, most of them not in Montreal. $20 smackers for a locker.
Second review: It has changed over the previous years Over-all customers are very nice and the staff as well you can catch up on some good sleep although lately a lot more arguing amongst people and we see the police having to come inside to escort people out for whatever reason very stressful having to see that more often now Why are people that are barred from going there doing in there? You dont need theyre business and you almost completely lost a good customer as I will be going there much much less frequently for the time being!

A great place & staff as well not like the suffocation i used to feel inside from the other one from across the street I enjoy chilling & can actually catch up on a few sleep winks the times that i go thereI always catch up with aquaintances & everyone is very nice to meI hope Alain the manager got all the regognition that he deserved for what had happened last year Jean-Marc Andre et Andre et Pierre vous etes des vrais amours!Only 4 stars & not 5 due to those that smoke in the non-smoking roomsKudos to all of you & long live this Sauna xx

Definitely and by far the worst sauna in Montreal. I live here and I had not been in a few years so I went to see. The place has downgraded to a startling zero redeeming qualities. It feels like a sad rehab clinic or asylum from the seventies. Dont even bother going “just to see how bad it is.” Not worth it.
They asked me to write my name and or either phone number or email address on a scrap piece of paper. ????? So I just wrote the first name and random # that popped in my head. Then remove my mask to see my face.????? The dry sauna was colder than my living room. The wet sauna was ok, but don't stand near the vent when the steam comes out or you will have 3rd degree burns. Whirl pool, Luke warm. No dark room area, cept a tiny space at the end of a hallway. Oh and the guy dressing next to me took off with my new Hilfiger boxers. No thanks I'll pass.

Not as clean anymore Why having removed the drinking fountain? and double the price non merci! A shame because its still a terrific staff but i will go elsewhere for now!
Not used to be before after the opening they start to chatge for changing the towel which never before and the prices gone up sky rocket from $9.25 to $22 on Saturday and there is no more than 10 peoples in afternoon time and I feel not to go any more .

Nice and clean spa. No noisy beats, but really quiet and relax. If you are looking for a place to have some fun and rest in peace for taking a nap, it's the place. Mature men and older men, daddy types and nice men. I wish a long long life for this good sauna also I think it could be still better. I liked it a lot and I recommend it.
