About

Sauna David in Prague is one of the city’s longest-standing gay saunas, offering a laid-back, cozy vibe. Just a short walk from the Florenc metro station in the Karlín district, this venue is all about relaxation and good company. It’s the perfect spot if you're seeking to unwind after a busy day, featuring a classic Finnish sauna, a steam room, and a whirlpool to melt your stress away. Unlike some of the more party-heavy saunas, Sauna David leans toward a more intimate, homey atmosphere, making it a favorite for those who want a quieter, more personal experience.

The sauna’s bar is a great place to grab a drink or a bite, with local wines, draft beers, and even oven-baked pizzas served by their friendly staff. The venue also features relaxation cabins and video rooms for a little extra fun. Entrance fees are reasonable, with discounts for younger visitors between 18 and 25. Sauna David’s convenient location and chilled-out vibe make it a must-visit spot for anyone in Prague's gay scene looking for a mix of relaxation and socializing.

Among the dozen European saunas I have visited, this one is by far the smelliest. It is small and cramped, with a toilet from which you practically enter directly into the steam room. If you cannot influence a clientele that doesn’t shower, you can at least take care of the hygiene of your own facilities. Really terrible smell all over the whole sauna. The guy at the reception is friendly.

If you're going to a sauna in Prague, go to this one. World-standard 3-Star. Prague standard 5-Star.Yes, it's small; but for a small venue it has very good facilities. Steam room, dry sauna, and jacuzzi.Yes, they only take cash. That is normal. At least the owner is upfront and polite about it. The ATM next door is EuroNet which should be avoided. Instead go across the road and around the corner to the "Kooperative" where the rate it better.Yes, get the bath shoes. Yes, this costs a little extra, this is normal. Same for fresh towels. At least in Europe. Protection is free, lube is not. Vienna is the same.On Friday night over 4 hours there were about 25 men that visited of many ages (20s to 60s) and sizes (twinks, bears, muscle, and chubs). Mostly locals. The staff mostly speak decent English. The locals not-so-much; but sauna's the world over don't have much conversation. The drinks are very decently priced. The letters on the towel hooks: first time I've seen it. Great idea.

I rate sauna by 3 categories; 1) the amenities, 2) the architect/layout and 3) the clients.Sauna David amenities has a portable above ground jacuzzi. This is not a built in /permanently jacuzzi. Sauna is decent and does the job as well as the dry sauna. 4-5 rooms for personal space to have fun. There is a douching room. The bar is just fine and there is a down stairs living room size area which u take a spiral staircase to get to. Has a large size space/bed area of vinyl material which is facing the tv for X viewing. Beside the space is a strange random dark room of 1.2 meters in width and 2.4 meters in length. (This size is a rough estimate.) It’s very random and the wall which separates this room and the living room/bed could have been knocked out to have a proper size room. But I’d probably left due to building permit rules, money, or foundation purposes.Showers and lockers are adequate. You are giving a choice walk around only with S size towel and receive 2 drink tickets. Or walk around clothed. (Why would anyone go to a sauna and be clothed? Most likely due to shame and not reaching a level of self love). Next, the humans, they are the same mix of personalities, shy, reserved, outgoing depressed and god complex. I am very outgoing and friendly. I experienced the typical, “I’m a hot white guy that only hooks up with the same copy of himself”, bears, older men and amazing hot guys who enjoy all sorts of people. Condoms are provided and people aren’t aware of prep, pep and/or dozy prep. Making people afraid of common infections that can be addressed with knowledge and medication.Overall I give sauna David 3 stars out of 5. Due to that random downstairs room, the jacuzzi and the drink tickets. They can do better.

The sauna is clean, modern and recently renovated, and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, it is very small and mostly attracts an older crowd. If you are interested in men 35 or younger, this place might not be for you.It has a jacuzzi, which is great, but no pool due to the limited space. The sauna and steam room are both quite small as well. There is a nice bar inside, but the Wi-Fi didn’t work for me even with the code they provided. The location is close to public transport, though it’s outside the city centre.I would recommend it mainly for people 35+ or for those specifically interested in that age group. One negative thing that applies to most saunas in Prague is that they do not accept card payments. This means you need to find an ATM that doesn’t charge a high commission. I didn’t check whether the ATM outside the sauna charges fees or not.It also closes quite early for a sauna, at 22:00, whereas many other saunas in Prague stay open until 1:00 or 2:00 a.m., or even later on weekends.Overall: not bad, but not ideal for me.

I visited the sauna last week. A bit on the small size but very very clean. More of a mature crowd. May be a bit expensive for what it offers and when to compared to what we have in Barcelona, which are much bigger, have more facilities and cheaper. However I enjoyed my few hours. Reception guy was also friendly. It is cash only, like many places in Prague and can pay in euro.

I visited your sauna last night. It’s modern, friendly people, but there were few of them. I would have expected more on a Friday night. Nice employee. I don't know why can't pay by card. Will probably come back next time I visit Prague.

The worst gay sauna in the world. Very small, just a few old people in this place, and you could smell toilet in the sauna! Don’t waste your money for this place! Also the staff is rude. Please just read their responses to the negative comments. They don’t apologise at all and with a rude manner, they answer…THEY ARE WORSR!

I went to this sauna with my partner, and maybe the only good thing about it was the cleanliness. But the real nightmare was the receptionist, who was also the bartender. He gave us judgmental looks multiple times and even sneered at us!!!We’ve been to saunas all over Europe, but this was the only place where the staff couldn’t mind their own business. Honestly, don’t waste your time and money going there unless you’re cool with unprofessional staff.

What a nice cosy sauna in Prague ! The sauna is small but really modern and clean, it feels safe to be in there and I can say that it is the ideal place to relax and have some fun. The crowd is mixed, you can see both younger and older men, if you have a couple of days in Prague you should definitely give it a try !

I visited this sauna during my weekend in Prague. It was cosy and clean, and the reception and bartending was very kind. I leave only three stars because unfortunately, as other reviewers said, there was an unpleasant smell of urine in the shower area. Also, because payment is possible only with cash. It's 2025 dear Mr Jiri! 😜😘 All in all I would return.

I just visited the sauna, the receptionist was very polite and professional, friendly and welcoming. You can rent a slipper for a little fee, I had a good time, and there was a mix of customers. The place is very small and clean, and limited in what it offers compared to other saunas I visited in Europe. I gave it 4 stars for the size of it, but much better place to meet people than the other sauna in Prague.. This place is worth a visit.

Herr Jiri! With respect-i don't live in the Czech, besides,i've for 20 years number of saunas 🏳️‍🌈 for comparison.I've never seen such absurdity-to ask for piece of plumbing for washing pope(sorry) ,esp.with a COLD water 🥶,in a BAR,from kitchen worker! What hygiene? 🫣😂 ! And in general it looks humiliating for customers.I myself a manager in Gastro. And: the only place in Prague during weekend, where i could not pay with card,it's a curiosity. And so on comfort, coffee and food i "would" put 5 stars,but...

Indifferent about my visit. Clean, tidy and compact. Steam room too dark. Very slippy floors no non slip mats. Not sure UK guys are well liked, hooked up with a few guys though.

It could be a good place, but: to wash your pope (with very cold water 🙄😫😰), you have to ask the barman for a tap adaptor.(???) This is the first time I've seen such idiocy in 30 years!!! By the way, they make delicious pizza and drinks, but you have to understand that the person who makes the pizza and drinks, and person who gives out the WC adaptor-ARE the same persons ☹️☹️☹️🤢 If there 50 people in sauna, will barman wash his hands between cooking after each time he gives out a WC adaptor? The answer is 100% no,so one star

The only good point is cleanliness! Only old people +50, rude staff and super small. For the price and the fact that it’s cash only better to skip this place from your Prague tour!UPDATE AFTER YOUR ANSWER1. Never asked about many people were! So not even unfriendly staff but even big layers. And also scammers since when I ask if there was a reduce price under 25th you said no in ur classic rude way.2. I meet and enjoyed to talk with one or two guys so again another lye from you3. I have been to another sauna in Prague and strangely was way more full, staff was fantastic and lots of young guys too!4. I suggest you instead of writing down lyes, try to improve yourself and your staff

I went there on a Sunday night, and it's such a cozy little spot. You can tell they've done some nice renovations, and while it was a bit quiet when I went, you never really know with saunas! Everything is clean and tidy. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel so welcome. I’ll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

One of the best experiences in Prague. The sauna, although small, was spotlessly clean, the staff were polite and professional, and the prices were quite good. There is a jacuzzi a sauna some dark rooms
