Sauna Lavapies only in the neighborhood It runs daily 24 hours. The Sauna Lavapies is the first to open its doors in a neighborhood with a growing gay community settled and seeks alternatives to traditional gay.
The space is gorgeous and huge with a lot of potential. Also very clean. I went on a Saturday night and there were probably 4-5 people at 2 am, and they were all druggies doing drugs together. Some couldn't even walk straight because they were so high. It was, to frankly, disgusting
I went on a Tuesday night. The premises = amazing. The staff = super friendly. Other guests? Only 5. So unfortunately I will not be returning. Sorry guys.
The place was clean and huge. Really nice BUT I was literally the ONLY person in the whole sauna. I went on a Thursday night around midnight and there was no one there 🤷🏼♂️
This sauna is massive, and I returned after seven years to see if it still lived up to my memory. I remembered it being quite large, and it still is. I went on a Sunday afternoon, expecting it to be packed, and while there were a good number of people, it wasn’t overwhelming. The space itself is huge, but the two saunas—one humid and one dry—are quite small and didn’t offer much stimulation. The jacuzzi is also very small. Most of the crowd was 50+, and the entrance fee on Sunday was 16 euros. I didn’t particularly enjoy my time, aside from the atmosphere, which has a cool underground cave-like vibe. This place has potential, but it could be a lot more fun if it attracted a more dynamic crowd.
Reasonably priced sauna that's close to most attractions and other metro stops. The layout of the place is a bit strange, lots of up and down. You go from locker room down to the labyrinth and dark rooms, and then go back up another set of stairs for the wet area and relax area. Private cabins are available on both floors. This place has sauna, dark rooms, steam shower, showers, small relax area, lockers. Note that the facilities are a bit dated and old. It's clean but don't expect any modern fixtures. I only saw lube provided, not sure about condoms, maybe had to ask. And echoing other reviews, clientele trended to older men 40+ and there is a douche station on lower level behind the GH.Tuesday afternoon 2-4pm: It was naked Tuesdays, they give you a tiny towel. Started off with 4 people and went up to 12 by the time I left. Median age, at least 40+ (I only saw 1 or 2 people under 40). Probably 95/5 local/visitor ratio. Some action going on here and there, most men were cruising or waiting for favorable matches.Overall it's not bad, given its location and not too expensive price. I would return again at different times. Facilities could be slightly better and updated and even add a hairdryer in the locker room would be helpful.
Too big - too labyrinthy - I’m sure there’s a good time to visit but each of my five times going there hasn’t been movement. Staff are amazing tho. I do feel welcome so, extra star.
Popular time is so fake 😂, on Saturday night...It was showing 3 x busier then usual... But there were 3 people + me inside 😜. Otherwise in general the place looks good.
This place is Huge, with lot of places to play! 3 floors of fun, a bar, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Once’s you go down it’s a dark maze type of rooms, where u can find slings and many interesting rooms to play. They also offer a cleaning bathroom where u can rinse if bottoms need a quick reassurance. You go up and you’ll fine the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.. if u go all the way up is where you’ll find the dark room. I went had a good time, and it’s true could Be better but maybe I left to early. A must check out.
I had a great time in this sauna even though I went on a Tuesday! Good crowd, lots of older guys (40-50? y/o) but they’re hot! I wonder why older guys in Spain look hot and sexy! 🫣 I guess I’m into hot daddies. Lol! The place also looked amazing, they’re like the cave hotels in Turkey! Overall, loved it!
I had a good time, not busy at all; but still enjoyed myself. It’s a decent sauna, would be nice if they had some better showers, rather annoying they shut off after 30 seconds. Also lockers are a bit finicky but serviceable
Sauna with mixed crowd...30-60 age group...friendly reception Great labyrinth in the cellar...very clean and spacious...check best times to go...I highly recommend
A hidden gem of the gay scene in Madrid. A bit far from Chueca and not so crowded as the other well-known saunas of Madrid, but worth the visit. I have been visiting it since they opened some years ago (I still remember getting a flyer on the street when I was a a closeted twink, lol) and now that I don't live in Madrid anymore I try to get there whenever I can, and don't even try on any other sauna. It is quite big, with an expansive maze downstairs and plenty of cabins. Guests are very international, like the rest of the neighborhood. Extremely clean and cozy. Very cool employees. The jacuzzi is nice, with room for 4 people comfortably, but it deserves a larger one, honestly. Steam and Finish saunas are not super hot, but they are fun, they are about "socialising" with other guests. Overall, it is always a very fun experience. And cheap compared with others!
Sauna Lavapies is the place to be, because knowing that it’s in the heart of Lavapies and it’s all connected to the metro Lavapies L-3 and Anton Martin L-1 . I really enjoy myself and it was amazing
I went there because of convenient location not far from the Queen Sofia museum. I liked it. The facilities were clean, with vaulted ceilings in the basement. Not many people but that is probably due to me being early on a weekday. Friendly staff.
They have a great space which could be much better redesigned. Otherwise clean and nice.Schedule a bit weird. Would be better if they close at different time, not at 6am when everyone is looking for a sauna.
huge place! very good turkish sauna, dry sauna, small but nice jacuzzi. A lot of small rooms for your entertainment. Very recommended, especially when the known world mega-problem disappears.
I can't actually give reasonable feedback as when I enter it ( was Monday night ) was empty . We are talking about 1-2am . So its maybe good place or maybe not .
Went there Monday afternoon, had a great time. Staff kind and helpful. Place very clean and cruisy. Also a really interesting building, mostly underground. Three slings, vaulting horse and many cabins. Good douche facilities downstairs , difficult to find. Wonderful place to play. Best sauna I've been to after Berlin
Clean, nice , perfect to take a shower , have a sauna and jacuzzi but nobody Saturday night! And don't you dare, even there is nobody, to take your phone to check it ,.It s Forbidden !! I asked why , no answers ! I left it , first and last time .
This sauna is situated nearer the Anton Martin Metro Station rather than Lavapiés. The entrance to the sauna is not that obvious.Inside the reception is on the mezzanine floor up some steps from the entrance. The changing area is down a staircase beside the entrance. Off the changing area down some further steps there are labyrinthine passages leading to cubicles, video area and g.h’s and a sling. You can return to the main sauna area on mezzanine floor via the entrance hall or alternatively there is a steep staircase coming up from the basement. The mezzanine floor has a sauna, steam room and a smallish Jacuzzi as well as some cubicles and a bar area with videos. The action seems to take place mainly in the sauna and steam room as well as around the g.h. area in the basement. I visited on a Monday afternoon when there were probably 20-25 guys there, but this sauna seems to have a younger crowd than some of the others I visited in Madrid with ages ranging from 20’s-50’sA strange place!
Big venue. There are a lot of dark rooms in the basement with slings and chairs. However, there is only one small jacuzzi which is always full. The sauna is very cold and the steam room does not have enough steam. This is more like a dark room maze with sauna than an actual sauna.
