The Lord Clyde in Deptford, London, isn't your average spot. It's got this cool, old-school pub vibe but with a twist – it's now a gay cruise club. Think vintage meets vibrant, where you can kick back on classic chesterfield sofas or spice things up in a more, let's say, adventurous setting.
Sunday nights at The Lord Clyde are all about the Sunday Social – it's like the highlight of the week. Picture this: a bunch of friendly faces, a relaxed atmosphere, and just a good time all around. It's not just a party; it's like a community get-together where everyone's welcome.
So, if you're up for a night that's a bit different from the usual London scene, The Lord Clyde is your go-to. Whether you're in the mood for a laid-back evening or something more on the wild side, this place has got you covered. It's a cool mix of old-school charm and modern-day fun, making it a unique spot in London's gay scene. Just drop by and see for yourself!
An excellent option for us in South London. The staff is amazing. The place is huge, private, and the drinks are super cheap. I wish every place was like this. I felt at home with so many guys hooking up hahaha.
You must visit. Yes, it's off the beaten track but a cheap uber ride from major tube and train connections. Plenty parkingAnd the drinks are cheap. The facilities are excellent and clean. The place is well run and gloriously unpretentious. You can be absolutely yourself without being judged. Friendly and welcoming. And you are guaranteed to have good time. I certainly did. Don't miss it! Get off the internet and go make your fantasies a reality.
This is a very good mens only bar!It is reasonably priced with good music, a nice bar, a smoking section, and a large darkroom in the basement! They also normally include a drink in the entry price. The staff here are also lovely!!!
This place is fantastic! Mitch and the staff are genuinely warm and friendly, the drinks are very reasonably priced and the space is amazing. Comfy and cozy upstairs, dark, sleazy and sexy downstairs. All spotlessly clean. I arrived late (10pm) so it was less busy than it had been earlier in the evening and January is a quiet month anyway but the guys there were all, in their different ways, super-hot, relaxed and friendly. It’s quite difficult for me to get from South West London but initiatives like this really deserve to succeed, especially as they are bringing leather back to the scene, so I’m definitely going back. Only earlier in the evening when it’s busier and trains are still running from Deptford station. As cruise bars go, this is a diamond.
The Lord Clyde gay bar in Deptford, I am confused as I was aware it is a sex club . the barman is always rude and argumentative, towards customers. My experience yesterday a customer asked another customer to tie him up , they are both adults , parties concerned are adults and both consented . The barman was very annoyed by this behaviour, it is a sex club ! The barman in question needs to understand , more about these issues ! He needs to be less judgemental, and more tolerant towards his customers. He needs to be polite and curtious . I would like to stress it is not Mitch , he is so lovely guy .he is always so polite and calm .
Went for the first time. The first thing that struck me is how friendly everyone was. The young guy behind the counter told me where everything was etc. At the price you pay, it's pocket money. Great atmosphere as well. Pleasuredrome is dead in the water for me now I have found this place!!
That barman behind the bar, is just soooooo good at what he does!! By which I of course mean by servicing his customers! But love this place, easy going. Good vibes. 👌👌
Always a friendly social and fun place. Great assortment of drinks and friendly bar and door staff. Will definitely be going back. Had a great time. Thanks
One of the friendliest gay venues in London. I visited this bar for the first time on my own in early January and was immediately made to feel so welcome. The staff fundamentally care about their customers and the venue they're developing here. I can't remember the last time I sat in a bar like this, chatted to strangers and made new friends. The area downstairs is large with a further floor under construction, so it'll be exciting to see how it develops over the year. There's a wide variety of events, and I've been heartened by the owners public statements on the inclusivity of their environment - with all body shapes and sizes welcome. A burgeoning jewel in the SE London scene.
Been here for quite a few of their events and cannot fault it. Prices are good all round (entry and drinks) and the staff a really lovely, always welcoming and friendly. The venue itself shows great potential and the guys are always working hard to make it better for the punters. Will definitely be returning again.... and again.
Wow! This was the cleanest cruising bar I've been to. It's new so give it some love. The few pioneering clients who heard about it through different networks are surprisingly sociable. This is definitely not your typical cruising venue. It doesn't aim to replace the ones that have closed down and it's not competing with the existing ones. I hope they succeed in building it into what they want it to be. For what it's worth, check it out on its busiest days: Wednesdays and Sundays. But, it was chill tonight (Thursday) and I got what I came for. Oh... And, the friendliest staff I've encountered in the whole of London.
