Tom's Cruising Bar, located in the vibrant Yumbo Center of Gran Canaria, is a popular destination for the gay community. This bar, which has been open for over six years, is known for its men-only policy and international atmosphere. It's a relatively new addition to the gay scene in Maspalomas, situated on the second floor of the Yumbo Center.
The bar features a dark room and a smoking area, catering to a diverse clientele. Visitors often appreciate the friendly staff and prompt service, although some find the music a bit loud. The outdoor seating area is a notable highlight, offering a comfortable space for socializing.
Tom's Cruising Bar operates daily from 22:00 to 04:00 and offers free admission. It typically attracts casually dressed gay men, with no specific dress code enforced. The bar includes a small cruising area with cabins and a sling, appealing to those interested in a more adventurous nightlife experience.
This is a good starting point if you're new to the Gay scene in Gran Canaria in general but it's a little small, the staff are not the friendliest guys by a long shot. When I asked what the beer on tap was, having never had a pint of whatever it was, the barman was pretty obnoxious and that's putting it politely. The back area for exploring and having a little fun was very small so really the whole place is a fairly short starter for other places that I enjoyed far more. Not a bad bar at all, just not the best.Probably won't be going there next time, one and done, sorry.
What can I say I was with my mate he was in a wheelchair they were very helpful this is in may 2023 drink a very reasonable especially for top shelf drink. Staff are amazing owner so helpful with paddy. The guy in wheelchair. Coming back in April 2025 can't wait
Great experience, first time here. Fantastic service, friendly and attentive staff, lovely drinks. Enjoyed exploring the other parts of the venue too 😜- fun was had. Can't wait to come back.
Been going to Toms Bar for years. Remember it when it was a small bar with just Alex working seven days a week. It’s good to see it expanded and still have the friendly atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced. Very large dark room. The terrace is usually packed.Congratulations to Alex and his team.
What can I say about Tom's? The best place to start - and never stop! - your night at Yumbo. Great location, away from the straight noise of the ground floor, good music, and friendly staff. Once you go Tom's, you never go back.
This was my second visit to this bar . Was looking forward to another night whilst on holiday with my partner. I ordered drinks and then paid the waiter. I received the drinks then a short time later the change . As I put the notes in my wallet another staff member who I had not engaged with removed the change tray. Snatching it out of view and no interaction. This is a clear deceitful ploy where they employ within this establishment. Ok it was only 5 euros but I would always tip anyway . This in my view is something that should you should be aware of when visiting
I come to Gran Canaria twice a year. I have been for the last twelve years. However, I only discovered Tom's Bar about a year ago. It's a must visit for my trips to Gran Canaria these days. The owner does a great job with hiring staff. Every single time, a different staff member, a great and unique service. Staff make this place. Don't be fooled by appearances.
This bar is tucked away, go past Sparkle drag bar then right. It doesn't get too busy until after 10pm. Drinks are good measures and the waiting staff are very friendly. Music is ok but no dance floor so as the tin says, it's a cruise bar. Definitely worth a visit. No €10 entrance fee like cruise bar.
The beer and serving was nice. But.. people under influence bringing their dogs to a bar/club with loud music, the dogs start fighting and bar staff does nothing. Very disappointing
Really enjoyed this bar. Lovely music , great atmosphere and drinks are good. Mario is lovely , really good guy and made our evenings very nice at this bar. Will visit again
Nice enough bar but quite pricey. It does have a great vibe and the bar staff work hard. I definitely wouldn't call it a "crusie bar". It's got the smallest dark room. Couldn't get more than a few people in there. It doesn't help they've got rid of the sling part of it as it's now a storage zone for the bottles and kegs.
It always is a very nice bar to go to. But have your waiters in focus. Also when it's busy. We had to wait a long time to order. And even longer to get them. So be more observant
Not the Tom cruise experience I wanted. Top bum and days of cumder were very much in effect. A few good men had all the right moves in there and definitely without limits. By far and away a the others were absolute legend. The firm cocktails on taps had me hoping it was open night and day
Lovely staff, very attentive and reasonable prices. Tucked away up on the 2nd floor away from the busier bars and a much more chilled atmosphere. Great dark rooms, won't forget what happened to me in there!! If I had one little criticism it's that the music could do with being slightly quieter so that it's possible to communicate with others in the bar without going outside.
