Mt first time going there, I actually wore my pup hood most of the time (didn't mind getting stared at) however, someone gave my bottom a light squeeze which annoyed me, I did like the place though, felt rather comfortable going there, I'd like to go again and kinda wish there were more pups there, also liked how there were some free rooms, though, a stranger tried to come into the room I was going into with some friends, we told him to go away politely, tbh, I would've given this place more stars if it hadn't been the fact that someone had grabbed me innapropriately, not saying this place is bad, just saying that some of the guys here could keep their hands to themselves and not do that to me
Great first experience better then when I visited the one in Sydney but one thing, can yall pls put on “No means No!” Signals on almost every corner?? Cos it’s kinda annoying when even after I straight up said “no” some of the guys still being pushy …
I’ve been going to WET since 2021 and absolutely love the vibe. The reception staff are always friendly, respectful, and make you feel welcome. Parking has never been an issue, which is a big plus. The pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna are all fantastic, and most of the time, you meet good, friendly people inside. Sure, occasionally you encounter someone not as pleasant, but that’s not the venue’s fault. I make it a point to visit at least once every two months, and I’ve even made some great friends there. I highly recommend WET, especially if you’re new in town and looking to meet people.
I started coming here quite often at the end of 2023. I have experienced what every day has to offer. As with most things, it can be hit and miss and depends entirely on personal preferences. Sundays are super busy early afternoon with the highest chance to find what you're looking for or at least get some good eye candy. Most recently, I've been coming during the day midweek to enjoy the actual spa amenities and destress and unwind before I return to work over the weekend. It's typically quiet, and you can stretch out and enjoy. The showers have seemed to have some water temperature issues recently, which will hopefully be resolved or at least not matter in the warmer months. There's recently been some unpleasant odours around the cruising area and steam room, and of course, in the bathroom. You do unfortunately have to deal with some creepy behaviour with people following you around, even when you give no indication of interest or straight up say "no thanks" and continue to get groped by typically older men. No means no! Maybe need some signage about body language alongside the consent signage. They have implemented a basic system to identify what you're there for. Wear your locker key around your: wrist if you Top, upper arm if you're Vers or ankle if your Btm. No way to identify Side or just relaxing. It's super frustrating arriving 30mins before they open and the carpark already being full, potentially by people visiting other businesses. Too many lazy locals driving in when theyre 5 mins away by foot or public transport.😤 thankfully i could park precariously till they opened and then went inside to ask about the 2 spots blocked by the yellow bollards and they were able to unlock one for me. 😊
Wet the sauna is the best place around to meet friendly people plus the fascilities are clean etc. There's a spa sauna steam pool plus cinema rooms plus a great lounge area with food and drinks. Wet the sauna is legal discreet and relaxing. There's someone for everyone and there's no pressure or profile needed. For me it's therapeutic as it takes the stress out of daily living. It's not just gay men who go to the sauna but also lotsa bi and straight acting men xxx 😐
Great place to go when the missus gets her hair done, stumbled on it by accident, the pool, sauna and steam room were great, the staff and patrons were very affectionate and friendly. They even have small dark rooms where you can lay down and relax!I even ran into my father in law and his son while in the spa such a small world!
A lot of the information on Google Reviews is spot on about Wet. This is the only gay sauna in Brisbane, the entry price is probably the most expensive of any gay sauna in Australia, this is because there is not competition. There is no pass out system available. Most of the private rooms are very narrow so don’t expect to cuddle up with anyone unless you are lucky to get one of the three bigger rooms. Cleanliness is not big on the agenda at this sauna, public areas are clean but the toilets appear to be only cleaned just before opening and the private rooms are not cleaned through the day - well when I have been there anyway and I stay about 4 hours. The garbage bins in the private rooms are usually overflowing with used paper towels. The staff include the owners and usually two Columbian staff who are younger. I have heard the Columbian staff do engage in sex with the paying customers when the owners are not on site. I haven’t seen this but have seen the staff checking out the dark room and checking out the private rooms.Sundays are the busiest time, with lots of gorgeous males who like to prance around looking for Mr Right, they don’t realise the other males are there for sex and not marriage proposals. If you find someone, good luck on finding a room to play in. Tuesdays are busy as it is towel free - lately it has been pretty quite compared to 3 or 4 months ago - an older crowd. Friday nights are hit or miss - towel free from 6pm. All other days are hit or miss. The pricing is $30 at all times unless you have a concession and that drops the price to $27. Parking can be very hard to get especially if there is an event on at the nearby Showgrounds.
