About Evolution Wonderlounge (EVO)

EVO’s current home is at 11508 Jasper Avenue, with a street-level pub, food and weekend dancing. A TouchTunes jukebox shapes quieter weeknights, while the calendar includes karaoke, trivia, drag and community gatherings. The Underground dance room offers a separate basement atmosphere on selected nights. The main floor is accessible, but the basement is not; the former 104 Street location should not be used for directions.

Had a first-date here on a Monday with beers and half-price wings! The music was a low level, which was unexpected but *extremely* welcome, as I could easily hear my date across the table without raising my voice. Volume got quite loud during karaoke but that was to be expected! Our server was amazing and super friendly; unfortunately I don't remember her name but she was hilarious and attentive. The wings were a great portion and tasted pretty good! I absolutely love the look of the new building.

I never really cared for the original Evo location, but the new Evo is on an entirely different level. In fact, it’s so good that I find myself there three to four times a week. The food is fantastic and they’re always offering fun specials and discounts on different nights, which keeps things fresh and exciting. The three-floor layout is brilliant, there’s truly something for everyone. You can dance it out downstairs, enjoy great music, conversation, and pool tables on the main floor, or soak in the funky, laid-back vibe upstairs. And the staff? Absolutely top-tier. Murray and Scott are consistently warm and welcoming, and Christoff treats you like gold every time! He is always friendly, always engaging, and usually armed with an interesting story or two. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say. Every single staff member is great, from the door staff, wait staff, and even the kitchen staff. You are always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. If you haven’t been yet, I can’t recommend it enough. While it’s proudly a 2SLGBTQIA+ space, everyone is welcome there and you genuinely feel that the moment you walk through the door. A true Edmonton gem.

FIRST TIME ARRIVING AT THE NEW ESTABLISHMENT. Server was amazing! Very attentive. The space is fire! Now let’s get to the menus the drinks seem a bit on the higher side. The idea of paying 8$ for a Corona bottle makes me cringe. But let’s talk food pasta not enough sauce, and the sauce I got was watery. My date called it butter pasta. As for my dates wrap great size but zero seasoning. Don’t be afraid of spices they are your friend. And the amount of fries for 6$ was a bit questionable. The best thing is that all of the above food reviews are fully fixable. The staff and establishment would be the reason i would return. AND THE MUSIC VOLUME IS PERFECT!

Went for the second time ever and first time on my own. I was so nervous. I hadn't really been in bars at all, wasnt sure how everything worked or really how to go about my night. I got there early for a drag show Evo had on, and River was my server. They were patient, kind and helped me figure out how things worked. I went from being extremely nervous and worried, to a lot more secure and less stressed. River's kindness and patience changed my night around completely. Having social anxiety makes these events hard to go to, especially on my own. So thank you to River and Evo for a great experience.
