What is WhereIs.Gay?
WhereIs.Gay is a global LGBTQ+ venue guide. We list and review gay bars, clubs, saunas, cruising bars, hotels and other LGBTQ+ friendly places worldwide, with opening times, ratings, photos and practical visit information. It's free to use — no account required to browse.
How do I submit a venue?
If you know of an LGBTQ+ venue that isn't listed on WhereIs.Gay, you can submit it via our Submit a Venue page. Our team reviews every submission before publishing. Submissions are free.
How do I claim or update a listing?
If you own or manage a venue that's already listed, you can claim it by clicking "Claim this listing" on the venue page, or by contacting us directly. Once verified, you'll be able to update details, photos, opening hours and contact information. If you'd like to suggest a correction to a listing you don't own, use the "Suggest an edit" option on the venue page.
How are reviews moderated?
Reviews submitted through WhereIs.Gay are reviewed by our team before they appear publicly. We check for accuracy, relevance and compliance with our community guidelines. Reviews that are spam, offensive or clearly inaccurate will not be approved. Approved reviews contribute to the venue's WhereIs.Gay rating alongside data from Google and Yelp.
How do I report a closed venue?
On any venue page, click "Feedback" or "Report this venue as closed" and let us know. You can also contact us directly. We investigate all reports and update or remove listings accordingly.
How do I advertise on WhereIs.Gay?
We offer advertising and partnership opportunities for businesses reaching the LGBTQ+ travel and nightlife market. Visit our Advertise page or get in touch to discuss options.
Is WhereIs.Gay free to use?
Yes. Browsing WhereIs.Gay is completely free — no account, subscription or payment is required. Venue listings are also free to submit and claim. Advertising and premium placement options are available for businesses.
How accurate is the venue information?
We do our best to keep listings up to date, but venues change — opening hours, addresses and contact details can shift without notice. Always check the venue's own website or social media before making a specific trip. If you spot something that needs correcting, please let us know.
Can I leave a review?
Yes. On any venue page, click "Submit a review" under the ratings section. Reviews require a star rating (1–5) and a short written comment. Optional: your name and the date you visited. All reviews are moderated before appearing publicly and reviewer email addresses are never shown to other users.
