Apollo Sauna

Best Place to be. Nice and kind Service Personal. Payable drinks and food. Parts of the Sauna are new or renovated. Was there at the October Fest.

The Apollo Sauna is definitely worth checking out. The crowd is mostly older but the vibe is good. It's a great place to relax and have fun and the staff are the stars of the show. Always friendly and accommodating, great drinks and a place where you can relax and just be yourself. There are other saunas/bathhouses in Hamburg , but this place always makes you feel welcomed. I highly recommend it.

Guys here don't beat around the bush!!! Maybe in less than 10 minutes after I arrived, I went to order a beer and guy that was watching TV came to the bar area to ask for water, while doing clear attempts to make eye contact with me. Let's say he wasn't just thirsty for water 😏! Some time later, I went to sauna session and the guy in front of me smiled at me, and as soon as the guy next to me left the room, he sat next to me and proceeded to gently, yet rough enough, touched my back. I was attracted by his sculpted chest, but then by his manly hot way to take it!!!

Visited Hamburg twice last month. Was told about three saunas. Apollo was a nice hidden revelation. The owner was super hospitable and was super clear . It was almost like the old school charm that you used to get when you did go to a sauna back in the day . This was very much like that . Proud of the establishment you could see that in the place. It was like a mini hotel clean like a throwback to the 80s I really like it. The Location is actually two stops away from Central station . It’s in a local neighbourhood which was quite lively. So really it’s not international tourism it’s more your local sauna the price is the cheapest in Hamburg. It wasn’t busy but I still had fun and the vibe was chilled I chatted to a few people and everyone was friendly . Not a 24 hour sauna but that’s also nice because you can have this sauna as a lunchtime- afternoon or early evening sauna. Then go onto somewhere so it sets up your evening. I would go back for sure next time I’m visiting in the neighbourhood.

UPDATE August 2019 Revisited a few weeks ago and things are much the same as on my previous visit. Quite busy but the clientèle were beginning to leave in late afternoon. Mainly guys in their 40's to 60's with a few a bit younger and older. August 2018 This sauna has a very small & discrete entrance next to a fast food shop! On the ground floor is the reception, a bar and the changing area. In the basement there is the steam and sauna and various dark rooms & video, cold plunge and a sling. Mixed clientèle with a high proportion of older men and the younger admirers. Popular areas are the steam room and in the large darkroom on the left hand side. Very little attitude and a friendly crowd. I visited a few days ago in the middle of the heat wave on a Wednesday afternoon (Wednesdays and Fridays are usually the busy days). Not surprisingly, because of the weather, the place was not very busy! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Entrance if now €15 and €12 after 19:00 OR Students €13. Price includes towel, locker and flip flops.
