Bar Buka

My wife and I visited Bar Buka several times during our honeymoon, and it quickly became one of our favorite places in Amsterdam. Mariann, the owner, has created such a welcoming, inclusive space that made it easy to meet people and make new friends. We especially appreciated having a women-centered queer space, which was surprisingly hard to find. The drinks were great, the food was delicious, the prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere kept bringing us back. If you’re looking for a fun, welcoming lesbian bar, Bar Buka is a must-visit!

Always a great place to be, because they have a nice selection of games and a pretty chill atmosphere. The location is great. They have a limited snacks selection, so they allow outside food. The owner is super nice, and I always come here when I need a break while visiting Amsterdam.

Highly recommend this lesbian bar in the De Pijp neighborhood. Our stay in Amsterdam coincided with some games for the Women's Euros. We enjoyed watching the games live in the bar. Very friendly staff, accessible menus if you are unsure what to get, and a queer friendly atmosphere.

Very chill and relaxed atmosphere. You can have a drink, and play games here with your date. The tomboy and femme cocktails were good, and we also enjoyed the cheesesticks ! We had a fun time there and will come back next time we visit Amsterdam.
