About Bar Pop

Bar Pop sits right in the middle of Manchester’s Gay Village and rarely aims for subtle. This independent LGBTQ+ bar is built around drag-led entertainment, affordable drinks and a soundtrack that moves through pop, disco, indie and club favourites. The programme includes weekly cabaret, themed nights and the venue’s DIVAS drag brunch and evening show. It works for an early Canal Street drink, but the atmosphere gets louder and more dancefloor-focused as the night builds. Expect a broad mix of LGBTQ+ locals, students, visitors and allies. Had a really good night out at Bar Pop with my partner. We got there at like 7pm and stayed till 3am. From 7pm till about midnight it was a chilled fun atmosphere with acts on the stage and dj playing tunes. From midnight it changed into a crammed load rave kinda vibe. Would go again .

Bar Pop is my favourite bar to visit on Canal Street. Always a great atmosphere, everyone out for a good time, fab music and great entertainment. I usually visit at night but today I went during the day to celebrate my friends birthday and it was karaoke! Fantastic. Such a great atmosphere. Lots of singing and dancing!

Great atmosphere, fantastic queens and entertainment, and the staff are always helpful. We went duirng pride and the bouncers and staff were all so helpful dealing with a medical event that occured with a member of our party.

Went here for a friend's bday and we did bottomless brunch. I am gluten free and had lots of food options to choose from. The brunch was great and very entertaining 😄 we came out that place happy and drunk haha. Definitely one to go to again

I recently visited Bar Pop in Manchester and had a truly amazing experience. The customer service is certainly a highlight. They run a smooth operation, and the staff are generally friendly and fast. They made us feel welcome, and it’s clear they aim to look after their customers, which is appreciated in a busy city venue. The location is also a major plus. It’s well placed in the city, making it easy to access and a convenient starting point for a night of bar-hopping or catching nearby public transport. If I had to add anything, the drinks selection was also great, with something for everyone, and the vibe was spot on for a fun night out. I highly recommend Bar Pop for anyone looking for a friendly and lively spot in Manchester.
