Bear Bar El Hombre

Let me begin by telling you that I was literally the only female inside the bar when I visited but the people could not have been nicer. It was like a movie scene where the music stops when you walk in but we said hi to a few people and ordered a beer. There is only one bathroom downstairs and I believe it is intended to be male only, and it has a garage door style opening in the bathroom that leads to a club within the club. We only stayed for 1 beer but it seems like a party there, there were tons of people inside and out! You can find this place by the multiple large stuffed animal bears hanging in the trees

What a great bar . I preferred it to the Bears Den the the lot more room to spread out in the street . Slightly markdown on the food because I did not eat, venue was excellent really well located and hppy hour deal was great and valid till 10pm !

It was a very bad experience! None of the staff speak English or even make an effort to communicate in the language; I had to use a translator just to buy a drink. The prices are high compared to other bars in the area, including another bear bar very close by, and on top of that, the drink wasn't cold. The place is frequented by people who already know each other and usually stay in groups, which makes it difficult to interact with new customers or with those visiting the bar for the first time. *EDIT* From the response to my review and many others here, it is already evident how arrogant and reactive the people in charge of the bar are. Part of the response I received was that "All our staff are fluent in English and even speak Spanish."... however, my initial question at the bar (By the way, asked in French... I emphasize this point because the response mentioned "when YOU don't even try and LEARN another language".) was whether they spoke English or Spanish, and the answer was that they only spoke French, which led me to use a translator. Furthermore, at no point did I claim in my critique that English has become the mandatory language in the world. Ce fut une très mauvaise expérience ! Aucun des employés ne parle anglais ni ne fait d'effort pour communiquer dans cette langue ; j'ai dû utiliser un traducteur rien que pour acheter une boisson. Les prix sont élevés par rapport à d'autres bars de la région, y compris un autre bar bear très proche, et en plus, la boisson n'était pas fraîche. L'endroit est fréquenté par des personnes qui se connaissent déjà et restent généralement en groupes, ce qui rend difficile l'interaction avec de nouveaux clients ou avec ceux qui visitent le bar pour la première fois.

Bar is alright, quite quiet in terms of music but understandable due to the sound restrictions (neighbourhood). Didn’t expect to buy two small drinks for 24€ though... there were a stripper in a shower show which was great but the loyal customers with a drink tend to get shoved about by non-loyal customers who had arrived to see the show and leave. Absolutely and extremely squashed.
