Walking in, the spot is spacious with different areas. Music and drag- This is absolutely a techno/house vibe. Nothing is wrong with the vibe, if that’s your thing. Drinks- wasn’t the biggest fan of their drinks. Either the drinks weren’t mixed well or the portions were not portioning…

Have a fantastic Drag Brunch for Mother's Day weekend! My mom's first drag show and the queens were fantastic, fun banter and jokes, and staff were friendly.

Had a terrible experience at Sunday drag brunch. While the queens were amazing and Hera Win was an absolute star, our experience was soured by terrible service. We were seated at 12:15 and still did not have food at our table by 2pm. When we asked our server about the long wait, he told us there was nothing he could do about it and no way for him to check on it. He then came back 20 minutes later to tell us that our food had been given to another table, which seemed like an outright lie. He repeatedly made it seem like we were being unreasonable for simply asking about the food we ordered. We ultimately had to cancel the order and leave the show early due to this poor service.

This past weekend I went to see Naomi Smalls for the drag race finale. I was super excited/nervous because I hadn't been to a drag show for 3 years, and I was going by myself. I walked up at 6:32pm. There was no one in line. As I was approaching from behind I heard the security guard by the exit saying "he's giving top energy" talking into the radio. I approached the second security guard who was talking in his radio looking at her and laughing. He did not acknowledge or look at me, I pulled out my ID and he glanced for less then a second then continued his convo still having not looked at me. I walk in and pull out my phone to show QR code to the person checking people in. He was talking to someone else and also did not acknowledge me or greet me. He just pulled out the scanner while continuing his convo with the person standing next to him. The only time he said something was when I asked him about VIP and he robotically answered my question and went back to his convo. I had two other interactions with him going out the doors. All times I was smiling and engaging and he just gave me this blank stare like I was annoying him. Upon entering I went to get a drink with Matthew the bartender. He was the only staff member that was friendly and smiled. He was great. (I didn't interact with other bartenders though). The hosts of the show were standing right next to me, had their drinks at the table I was at. They also did not acknowledge or look at me. After they walked to the stage, Naomi Smalls entered the back door. She came right up to me and asked me how my night was and talked to me up until she went on stage. I couldn't believe how nice she was! The VIP seats were super close to stage which was awesome, and I had a great experience with the meet and greet. The photographer and Naomi were super nice, and it wasn't rushed at all. Once the show started it was almost impossible to get through the crowd. Everyone was packed like sardines, and there was no path to the bathroom or exit doors. The hosts did not ask Naomi many questions and Naomi seemed like an after thought. The last commercial break they promoted all of their Beaux events, and didn't ask Naomi if she had anything to promote. I ended up leaving after the show because I felt uncomfortable. I tried talking to a few people, but the vibe at Beaux is not welcoming to outsiders. I could see how nice and engaging everyone was with people they knew, and then how they looked at me when I tried to start a convo. It made me sad, like there was something wrong with me. I will never come here alone again. The music was great, I shazamed like 3 songs I'm still listening to. I'm glad I got an amazing experience with Naomi, and I will come with friends next time and hope for a better experience.

Beaux is always the place to be!! I live out of town but every time I’m in the Bay Area I’m always going to Beaux because no matter what I know it’s going to be an amazing time ✨ The events are great, the staff is amazing and the atmosphere is always fantastic to be a part of! I think Beaux is a top suggestion for lgbtq+ nightlife venues in SF. I’ve even gone to their drag brunches and had so much fun!! Even going out on a random Thursday, I’ve met amazing people there and had a great time. I think my only critic is that their green tea shots are a bit on the smaller side for the price compared to other bars I’ve been in the area. But honestly the bar staff is really nice and I’ve tried their other drinks which were great too. Also I’ve never had to pay cover at Beaux which is a bonus! The security staff is also super nice and I’ve never had an issue !
