Cambridge has no permanent dedicated gay bar, but The Blue Moon is the closest thing to a dependable queer social base. The inclusive independent pub serves an unusually broad craft-beer range and pizza, while its back room hosts drag, queer cabaret, comedy, alternative club nights and LGBTQ+ community events. On an ordinary evening it remains a mixed neighbourhood pub rather than an exclusively queer venue, so check the calendar if meeting the local LGBTQ+ crowd is the priority. My favourite pub in Cambridge! One that goes above and beyond to make itself as welcoming and inclusive as possible. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Very good and broad selection of drinks, beyond your average pub fare. There always seems to be something on. The pub quiz on a Wednesday is such chaotic fun, that's highly recommended! (I know Oscar's pizza is a separate business, but shoutout to some of the best pizza in Cambridge!)

I love this pub, one of the best in Cambridge! Amazing beers and the pizza’s are a must!! The service is always super fast and friendly. Great atmosphere. You have to try their mini tiramisu too

Great range of beers including random sours and Dipas on tap rhat I wasn't brave enough to try! Great atmosphere, friendly staff and genuinely tasty pizza available to order to your table in their pub garden. Top notch

Lovely pub. The pizzas are great! They always have such a diversity of beers and the prices are not absurd like in other pubs in Cambridge! The pub is so LGBTQ+ friendly and open, hope it stays a wonderful and safe space!
