About Bull Bar

Bull Bar Berlin is a bold and unapologetic hotspot in the heart of Berlin's vibrant gay scene. Located at Kleiststraße 35, just a stone's throw from the Nollendorfplatz U-Bahn station, this small yet intense bar embodies the city's infamous ethos of freedom and indulgence. Open 24/7, Bull Bar caters to a diverse crowd seeking adventure and connection in an environment that prioritizes authenticity over aesthetics . The venue's unassuming entrance leads into a realm where the conventional boundaries of social interaction are redefined. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by a coat check, setting the tone for an establishment where one can be as exposed or as guarded as desired. This flexibility in dress code, allowing patrons to wear anything from full attire to minimal coverage, underscores the bar's inclusive and liberating atmosphere . The interior is deliberately basic, featuring heavy bar stools and a large metal bench, emphasizing that Bull Bar is more about the experience than luxury comforts. The decor may strike some as tacky, with a large Bull and slot machines adorning the space, yet it adds to the charm and raw appeal of the venue . What truly sets Bull Bar apart is its vast darkroom, a space designed for anonymity and exploration. The darkroom is divided into two main areas, each offering different levels of intimacy and interaction. It's a place where consent and desire dictate the pace, making it a haven for those looking to immerse themselves in Berlin's notorious nightlife . Bull Bar is not for the faint of heart. It's a destination where the gritty reality of Berlin's underground scene can be experienced first-hand. From the mix of international and local patrons to the no-holds-barred approach to sexual freedom, it embodies the essence of what many seek in Berlin's gay nightlife. For visitors seeking an unfiltered taste of Berlin's gay scene, Bull Bar Berlin offers an unforgettable experience. It's a testament to the city's enduring spirit of liberation and a reminder of the diverse forms of connection that thrive within its borders. Whether you're a local or a tourist, Bull Bar promises an adventure into the depths of desire and freedom, encapsulating the raw, unbridled energy that Berlin is celebrated for worldwide.

Went here on the 28/11/24 and all in all had a good time. Pleasant customers and the staff on the whole were lovely. There was however, one barman who decided to take a disliking to me when he came into the darkroom due to some of my clothes being in the way (my fault being in the heat of the moment). I would say though that the way he approached me and talked to me while I was in a slightly vulnerable position made me feel very uncomfortable. I am unsure of his name. To describe him, he was short, Asian and had short black hair. He asked me abruptly to take my things to the lockers and when I clarified if he meant everything, he said yes. I obviously didn’t go up to lockers naked however, his reaction and me being in ‘the moment’, left me feeling rather uncomfortable and disorientated. To clarify, that doesn’t mean I was drunk. I don’t drink alcohol and only had a non-alcoholic beer. Still, the interaction was jarring to say the least. When I was up at the lockers and he served me, I did apologise and mentioned that this was my first time at the bar. I was also aware that maybe something was lost in translation. He still continued to come off as abrupt though. I then went back to the darkroom and had a very enjoyable time. I would gladly go back again. I would say though to the owner, it might be an idea to remind this individual to work on their manners towards customers. Especially since there is a certain ‘vulnerability’ when going into the darkroom. Once again, a very enjoyable establishment and experience - slightly dampened by the above barman’s attitude. Luckily, the other barman on shift was perfectly pleasant. I would highly recommend visiting this place. Perhaps just be prepared that you might receive the same treatment from the above individual. I was debating whether to leave a review about this however, it has left an impression on me as my trip draws to an end and therefore, I have decided to write about my experience.

Coat Check: There is a managed area to hang jackets or store bags for €1.50. Security: The staff is super friendly but thorough. They’ll check inside your bag before storing it—totally understandable for everyone’s safety. The Vibe The bar area is the perfect "chilling zone." It’s filled with people chatting, drinking, and "recovering"—and you’ll definitely need that recovery time once you step into the main event of the Bar. You must order a drink before proceeding to the rest of the bar. The back area is where the action is. It’s a fascinating mix of people from all over the world. They have multiple slings and seating areas designed for spectating. The gloryhole wall needs a bit of improvement. As of now it's just a partition between the two areas at the back of the Bar. Atmosphere: The lighting is dim but effective. The first section is visible enough to see everything; further in, it gets darker and you can still make out faces and silhouettes. The Crowd: A great, diverse mix of people dressing up in gears, ages, and sizes. Very "anything goes" and high energy. People smoke throughout the venue, but honestly, that’s just part of the raw, authentic Bull Berlin vibe. Good vibes, great crowd. I’ll definitely be returning. While Bull is generally welcoming, going in "gear" usually adds to the experience.

Very honest review here. Super friendly place with very relaxed atmosphere and absolutely zero bodyshaming. For me this place represents what the lgbtq+ is and should be all about. Best place in Schöneberg that's for sure.

I visited BULL Berlin, and it was a really good experience! The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with lighting and music that create a fun and sexy vibe. The staff were respectful and welcoming, and the crowd felt chill and respectful. Just a few suggestions to make it even better: • There’s no douche in the bathroom — definitely a must-have in a place like this. • The dark room could use better ventilation or an exhaust fan, as it gets stuffy sometimes. • It would be great to have light snacks available, especially since the bar is open 24/7. • Also, music selection could be more in tune with the mood of the venue — music sets the whole tone! Overall, a great place and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! 👌
