About C’mon Everybody

C’mon Everybody is a queer-owned and operated bar, music venue and live-arts space on Franklin Avenue in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Founded in 2014, it was created to amplify LGBTQ+, QTPOC and other underserved creative voices while providing a welcoming gathering place for the wider queer community. The venue combines a front bar and lounge atmosphere with a dedicated performance and dance space. Visitors can stop by for house cocktails and conversation, attend live music and performance events, or stay later for DJs, dancing and queer parties. The programme changes regularly and includes club nights, concerts, cabaret, comedy, community gatherings and events serving different parts of New York’s LGBTQ+ scene. Some evenings feel like a relaxed neighbourhood bar, while ticketed performances and late-night parties can be significantly busier and more energetic. Its varied calendar and commitment to inclusive creative programming make C’mon Everybody particularly valuable for visitors looking beyond Manhattan’s more traditional gay-bar districts. Check the official events calendar or Instagram before visiting, as admission charges, door times and the style of the evening vary depending on the programme.

What to expect

What a fun spot! I don’t want to age myself, but the vibe here totally threw me back to the 90s club kid days—like I could’ve run into Michael Alig himself. The staff was super friendly, the show I caught was a blast, and the crowd was full of cool, welcoming people. Definitely a place I’d go back to for more good times.

Actually not a place for everybody… this is exclusively a space for men. Came here during pride as a lesbian with a couple other lesbians and we were denied entrance despite the place being empty. It felt misogynistic and gross - do not recommend this space - it falls into the trap of many gay bars in the city in that it is exclusively reserved for male queerness

Best gay bar in the area. Always a good time with great shows. Bartenders are fun when they’re not too busy. Sometimes it can be too crowded though making it hard to move past the bar at all

This is a really cool spot, from the bar selection to the lighten, it has everything you’d need for an evening (especially on a Friday) wind down. The bar caters to most taste and is stocked to offer a variety sure to satisfy most thirsts. The lounge area is spacious, clean, and filled with music just loud enough to add to the atmosphere without being deafening or forcing you to yell over it. The back room where the stage is has a smaller bar which is a nice touch, and the lighting and smoke machine definitely add to the appeal of an already nice place.

Had a great time supporting an excellent cause. There were 3 different bands, a good vibe and affordable drinks. The space had a bar, stage, small gallery and seating area where they set up a photo booth.
