GC Bar

My wife and I walked in, saw that the bar was empty, and thought the place looked fun. We met a couple of fun people and had a wonderful time. Only realized it later while reviewing the place.😅😅

It’s a great place! The staff is great, price are cheap, and the place looks amazing, loved the vibe! Also, smoking inside is a big plus! Note to other commenters, mane of a new generation do love to smoke 💕

Sadly, on a Saturday night unless you committed to buying a bottle of spirits, you are not welcome. The staff were rude and verging on hostile. We’d been the night before and it’s the only gay bar here. I’m struggling to say come. At least on Friday night I met two lovely Norwegian guys and we had a drink and laughed! But Saturday night my husband and I were basically told unless you buy a bottle of very expensive spirits, don’t bother. Every table was reserved and we were reluctantly put up the back opposite the toilet. Rudely told “pay now”. Go next door to Polite & Co. Queer and more fun, better vibe, better cocktails and more welcoming

No review stars but I hunted this bar out and finally found it. Opened the door and was greeted by cigarette smoke even though it was quiet on a Wednesday. I shook my head at the barman, waved my hand in front of my face and politely walked out 😩 I won't be going back after that 5 seconds I was in there as I don't want to tarnish my clothes and have to wash them straight away. Not agood start to my Hanoi holiday.

This place is FOR SMOKERS ONLY. The ceiling is very low and there is no ventilation so there is no way non smokers can tolerate that. It was impossible to get to the bar let alone get a drink. They should definitely remove seats and tables or control the number of people getting in. There was nowhere to put our coats anyway. Completely deaf people will also enjoy this place.
