Honestly this gay bar sucks. The wrong bouncers can ruin a business and after a long break from even going to Industry, I return to see the same terrible rude bouncers killing everyone’s vibe before entering. I never even had a problem in my interactions with them personally. But seeing how they treat people online is just a turn off and kills the experience while entering. Also, why do our IDs even need to be scanned upon entering when nearly every other gay bar just looks at your ID. In any case, those terrible bouncers combined with the same old tourist trap top 40 music and terrible drinks will guarantee the closure of this place soon. I’m even shocked it still exists. The tourist must pay their bills because not a single real New Yorker goes to this boring place.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but my experience at this Industry bar in New York on April 4, 2026 around 9 PM was really disappointing—mainly because of the bouncer at the door. I completely understand that checking IDs is part of the job, but it’s the way it was done that was the problem. I was asked for my ID in a very rude and aggressive manner, with zero professionalism or basic respect. It felt unnecessary and honestly uncomfortable, like I was being talked down to for no reason. A simple request can go a long way when it’s done politely, but this interaction immediately set a negative tone for the night. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was not it. There are plenty of places in New York where you can feel welcomed from the moment you arrive—this just wasn’t one of them.

I always enjoy this space. It allows for relaxing, or dancing, or pool playing, or just talking on a couch. Drinks are reasonable and I had no issues with the staff as I've read on other posts.

the bartenders are great, the space itself is decent, and it’s in a prime Hell’s Kitchen location. But the bouncers completely ruin the experience. They are unprofessional, rude, and act like they’re doing you a favor just letting you in. I’ve been to many bars in the area, and this place has by far the most unwelcoming bouncers. They seriously need to hire better, professional staff at the door. I’ll never understand why such a popular spot chooses to have the very first people you meet be the ones who make you never want to come back.
